MTA: 2023 New Flyer XD40 Xcelsior

I thought all XD40s are 2024 models, they were just built in 2023. I don’t want to believe other busfanners just because CPTDB is treated like Wikipedia and TTMG is gone. But is there a way to figure out the year from the actual bus or manufacturer?
