    Resort fees are a scam. They have been recently required to display them when booking but the place them cleverly so most people dont see them. Another scam is a deposit on arrival for potential damages. If you look at reviews about 20% of people dont get the deposit back or have to weeks\months for it

      Oh wow, that's good to know... Thanks for the info! I feel like especially for those from the UK / Europe, prices in the US (not just for hotels but other things, too) contain a lot of hidden costs. It feels like places are sometimes just trying to blend these resort fees into the taxes that are added on at the end. It's definitely a challenge when people are trying to budget their spending money and then having to pay all these unexpected extra costs on arrival!
