My road led me to pain but also learned alot from this pain. Though this hard life I learned my sins put me in this painful path. I also learned that even though I messed up this road block has gotten me closer to Him. I had a destination but He has The destination. So for a few months I struggle accepting this. I cried suffered but after much prayer, bible eucharist He just told me let go. So He basically said I am control.
You worry about the present I will worry about your future. So I decided for now Lord each day I will live in present and not worrying where you want me to be. Fir if you are in control then you will get me there.

Yeah, sometimes I’m still at the cross road because I thought at one point I felt the call to pursue a vocation but it ends up not happening or is just not the time yet. But Imma let God be the driver of my life.

One thing I've learned is sometimes the journey to his "No" is still his will.
Because if I ask to do his will and know his will. Then I need to expect that his will is full of both "yes" and "no" answers.
And it can be a long time to hear them.
And that journey to a "No" can still bear a lot of fruits that will be helpful later.
You just don't know how yet.
Like that one bit in the movie karate kid.
Also sometimes the Lord just wants to test your fidelity to him.
And other times he doesn't want to call you to anything grand because he knows it'll take you away from him and he can't bare that. He would miss your voice and attention and Love too much.
There's a reason so many Saints did simple tasks. That didn't require much.
Like being doorkeepers, gardeners, cooks, janitors etc.
It's because God didn't want to overload them. He want them to stay humble and close to him in prayer.
Maybe he denied something because he knew he'd lose you.
Or maybe he wanted you to run to him so he could comfort you.
Maybe he just wants you.
And that's a scary thought for some people because the world we live in programs us to feel ashamed of a life of simplicity. We are told poverty is a sign of failure and generosity is a weakness that people take advantage of.
But God thinks differently. And he knows better.
My precious Fr. Mike and family , my heart is with you. Your beautiful mother has her victory. Lean into the love all around . It is extremely painful , and quite surreal when it happens. The love is all around. Take care of each other, allow me to say, especially your father. Peace and light .

When I graduated college, I was really lost. I couldn't even find a job. Sadly, that's pretty common these days. So I pursued grad school (MA.Ed) begrudgingly. Something told me no, but then I prayed and discerned and I felt God tell me yes. So I said yes. But after 2 years, when I was almost finished, I was thrown out of my student-teaching program. And, when I decided to get back up and try again, Covid hit. But then everything changed in me. My priorities changed, and I accepted that God had closed that door. I never returned to complete my degree. Now, about 4 years later, I own my own business, I'm doing what I love, and I use what I learned through that experience so often. I know now that I had discerned well, yet God closed the door on purpose. He used it as a learning opportunity. And I regret nothing.
