Becca, you are such a good teacher! You give clear instructions, you video shot show just what we need to see to understand, and you anticipate those pesky potential trouble spots to help us avoid them. Thank you!
I love how you pointed out your mistake. I used to never have my tops quilted because they weren't absolutely perfect. I have learned that most people don't sew perfect tops. Thank you 😊
Becca, I love the fact that you show your imperfections. Not only personally but sewing wise I make a lot of mistakes too and I think that's what makes the quilter We learn as we go and no matter how long we sew, I'm sure if something always new to learn. So I'll probably always say I'm a beginner but you always do a great job regardless of a mistake And you're right, it really won't matter. It all come out in the wash anyways lol. God bless hun
You explain things so well! And thanks for sharing the tiny “miss” at the end. I have stopped stressing about those and kept on going. And I’ve kept on quilting.
YES! Don't stress about perfection and just enjoy the journey! I feel like that's my motto lately - 'Just Enjoy the Journey'! Practice makes progress, not perfection!
Becca, your directions are clear, and I’m enjoying your teaching. While I’m not able to do this sew along now, I’m going to pay attention and try to get in on the next one. Thanks for you!
You’re absolutely right. I only rip if something really bothers me. Otherwise I leave it no one has a clue. No one in my family sees so they all think I’m perfect . That’s good for me LOL 😂
Becca thank you for another great sew along lesson. I am NOT a perfect sewer or quilter either and if anyone does point out my mistakes I just tell I made it that way to see if anybody would notice the imperfection
Good Sunday morning Becca, all three of my macines are out of action so have decided to do a sewing room organisation I found a bag containing a Thimblerries block of the month 2008 3's Company, it came with my last purchase of left overs from a shop that closed, the pattern came in three colour ways. There aren't all the months but with repeats there are 12 packs not all same colour ways i had made blocks 1&2 sewing by hand so am committed to finish it now and will contiue sewing by hand. The pattern has 1 12" block and 3 6" for each month.
I would love to make these blocks. I would like the link to see if I could still order these boxes. Also could you give me the information needed to make these blocks. I just love your channel and Tiffany's channel when you two work together double bounus☆☆+.
Hi Vicky - check out my post on my website here: sewbecca.com/news/biss-qal - it has fabric requirements for the entire quilt along *plus* the links to each pattern on FQS's website.
Hi love your videos I’ve been learning a lot form you can I ask I have a fat quarter bundle of the same fabric as you will that be enough to the bliss blocks or do I need more
Hi Donna! It depends on how many FQ's are in the bundle. I copied the BOM fabric requirements from FQS's blog and put it on my website - along with links to all of these individual patterns. You can check it out here: www.sewbecca.com/news/bliss-qal

Hi Becca! Thanks for keeping it real and sharing when things happen. I really enjoy your philosophy and encouraging that we give ourselves grace.
Great block! Thanks Becca 😊
I tried your suggestion to stitch just a hair away from the diagonal line, and my block turned out great!
I did the same and my blocks were perfect! ❤
Thank you for reminding me not to stress for perfection!
Any time! Perfection is over rated - just enjoy your journey!

So glad! ❤️😊
Love this!🎉 and my blocks are far from perfect too and those imperfections add to the story of the quilt 😅
Progress over perfection!
Do you have any comments (pro or con) about your straight stitch machine?
