- Our hungry English cream golden retriever was very excited to eat this free sample of Only Natural Pet Raw dehydrated dog food. I soaked it in water for 15 minutes and also tossed in some dry kibble.
I used a Blue Yeti USB high quality stereo microphone to record the audio for this video.

i swear like 30 years ago when i had a cat everytime i fed her i would sit on the floor and watch her eat. the sounds gave me tingles all over and rewlly relaxed me. for 29 years i thought i was a wierdo because i liked how the sounds made me feel. then a year ago i discovered asmr and have quit therapy! cheers!

Would this style of eating increase bloat considering the dog is gulping more?
Hi, this type of "slow feeder" bowl is supposed to make him eat slowly and take in less air. We usually only feed him dry food which he has to hunt around the bowl for and take time in between bites.

Hi Debbie, this is a slow feeder designed to help prevent bloat. Bloat is a serious medical condition that could be fatal! Large dogs tend to eat very fast and gulp a lot of air with their food. This could cause their stomach to twist and cut off the blood flow. I worked at a vet's office for four years and also volunteered at the Humane Society. I've seen first hand how bloat can be devastating to a dog. The vet had to perform surgery to put their stomach back in the correct position. The dog's were left with a huge scar down their belly and a long recovery time. The slow feeder also helps stimulate his mind by causing him to search the dish for the last bits of food.
