We've owned our 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label Hybrid since March of 2024. When we ordered, back in August 2023, there was very little information from Lincoln and the automotive press. But on paper, the 2024 Nautilus Hybrid surpassed the '23/'24 Lexus RX 350h in so many metrics. Such as horsepower and torque, rear seat leg room, cargo room and was feature rich with tech such as hands free driving that the Lexus, nor any other midsize luxury SUV, offered. We took a real leap of faith and ordered the 2024 Nautilus with the hopes it would knock our socks off when it arrived. It doesn't disappoint! The ride, the power, the fuel economy, the spaciousness, the luxury materials, superb fit and finish! We have nearly 7,000 miles on our 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label Hybrid and truly couldn't be happier!
A few things to address for the comments critical of this car. If yall are worried about the reliability on one of these, the car is not meant for you.. These are meant to be leased new for about 2 or 3 years before things start to break and then move onto another new car lease. We have one in our garage and from driving experience, the screens arent distracting at all because theyre put very far back on the dashboard, if anything its been a little easier to drive with it so much further back than conventional cars. Id also reccomend going for the hybrid drivetrain option across any of the trims, the regular gas engine model's power just doesnt cut it. If youre worried about the transmission on the hybrid model being a cvt, dont panick its not a cvt 😅, its an eCVT which runs on gears and electric motors which is a comepltely different setuo from the regular belt driven CVT that has a bad rep... As for pricing, people keep assuming the model starts at 80k, it actually starts at the mid 50s and only the top end black label trims start at the 75k price range, part of why that trim is so much higher priced has to do with the top level grade of leather that it uses over the standard or faux on lower trims and also the complimentary services the dealership will do for you simply because you own a black label. As for it being built in China, ive been in other Lincolns built in the US and this one beats all the US made ones in build quality, and its not even close. Actually, having been in many Ford Motor Comany vehicles, ive never seen one with as little squeaks and rattles as this Nautilus. Everything is very solid.
@keithjackson4985 yes it makes little sense to get one of these used unless you're up for repair bills.. This is the same for many other luxury brands with not so good reliability like Land Rover, Mercedes, etc.
In America we are told Chinese manufacturers would put domestic car manufacturers out of business because they would flood the market with cheap (affordable) vehicles. Then I see this video and can't help but think our government is holding back affordable cars in exchange for overpriced SUVs.
Go look at one of these in person. Sadly the exterior is the most plain, boring, unassuming, and non-luxury looking SUV I have ever seen. No wonder I don't see them on the road. The Aviator looks much better. They should but the 48 inch display in that.

First off, great review as always. But I have to ask, who is this car for? $80,000+ for 250 HP and riding on the same C2 platform as the Escape/Bronco Sport/Maverick? When you get into 80K territory, there are a lot of options out there... I couldn't imagine spending that much money on a gussied up Escape. I recently had a 2024 BMW X5 E50 as a rental (put over 1,300 miles on it). With the options it had, it was around $85,000. For the extra money, you get BMW's fantastic B58 engine pumping out 483hp and 516 lb torque. You also get a battery pack that's capable of up to 40 miles of range. The week I drove it, I averaged 27 mpg (once the battery was depleted). When you could buy a nicely equipped BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Genesis, Porsche, Lexus, etc... for around the same money, you'd have to REALLY LOVE Lincoln to make that purchasing decision. I mention it at 1:27. It's one of the better systems in my opinion. The soundstage of the 3D positioning isn't overdone or gimmicky. Hi end is crisp without being shrill. Bass is full and tight without booming. At the end of the day, you'll have to demo it for yourself with source material you're familiar with. The exterior is a bit (yawn) boring. I like the look of the interior and the placement of the large screen. The power train, on the other hand, is seriously under-powered, in any trim. Given the price point, it's just not good enough. Looks like yet another example of Ford/Lincoln trying to put a luxury car shell on an economy car chassis and still get away with asking ridiculous prices. And when you consider the "subscription" they require to operate components already purchased on this car...hard pass. They can keep it, along with everything else made by that brand. I've never been brand loyal one way or another, but I REFUSE to contribute to or by way of purchase enable this idiotic trend of car companies charging people subscriptions to operate things that already come on the car as part of the purchase price. The only thing these troglodytes appear to understand is money, so I'll keep mine well away from them. Hopefully, others will do the same.
Full hybrid not plug in, you can upgrade to the full hybrid for $1500 on any of the three trims. It gives you a 60hp boost over the regular gas engine and a eCVT transmission instead of an 8 speed auto.
I don't think they feel this will sell in big volumes here. Its like the old CT6 hybrid or the Volvo S90. They could build them here...but it becomes logistically difficult for a small volume
We bought a Honda Pilot Touring AWD recently. Wife loves it. Did not even look at Lincoln. The Honda is smooth with naturally aspirated V6 and so functional. It doesn’t have gimmicks like this made in China Lincoln.
Im not a fan of having a best buy tv department in my car. Its distracting and annoying. At night its worse if you are long hauling it keeping your eyes on those light projectors. No i know its all for show. Just think of this thing 15 years down the line on a buy here pay here used car lot with all those screens busted up and or not working. Then you go to try and replace the screen only to find out the manufacturer stopped supporting it years ago. Dont believe me? Try fixing your Infiniti, No? Ok what about GM, Try fixing your 06 Park Ave ultra. Yea its not happening, they tell you to go to a junk yard and try your luck. I know first hand.
Big screen just to hide how good it doesn't handle! Screen is impressive but that's it! Small steering wheel sucks! Then they got the navigator and took the rear light from here and put them on the big boyyy! Navigator looks nice in the front but the back is garbage and the inside screens are crap!! 👎👎👎

Also this nautilus is technically not new for 2024, it's been around since 2023 as a China only model and it seems probable they started shipping the China model overseas because the US version Nautilus cannot be even assembled right now. All of this points at a temporary manufacturing plan for China capped at the end of this generation of Nautilus.

While mounting the rear window wiper at the top cleans up the look, it doesn't clean much of the window. That's why most manufacturers mount it at the bottom of the window, much more efficient with the better view. The car is just too expensive and underpowered for a wannabe luxury brand.

My screen does not work, dealer said they may NOT BE ABLE TO FIX IT,35 more months on the lease, deal is for 36 months,
based on bronco sport... based on ford escape?
$82k escape? lol
I mean, it's a real nice escape
word. a bronco sport?!?! that right there is fomoco. but, it's got big screens and massaging seats!!!
It's all new
How about watching the road while driving instead of a 60" screen!!
Sorry about getting off subject here But the amount of COMMERICAL interruptions is atrocious for a 14 min video RUclips.... ENOUGH !
And yet RUclips seems to be paying me less and less
This is why RUclips Premium is by far the best value premium streaming service you can buy.
2 liter $85K wonder what will go wrong with this SUV over the next 150K and 10 years.
the radiator cap might make it all the way.
Will Ford have to pay the tariff for cars made in China on the Nautilus?
We bought a Honda Pilot Touring AWD recently. Wife loves it. Did not even look at Lincoln. The Honda is smooth with naturally aspirated V6 and so functional. It doesn’t have gimmicks like this made in China Lincoln.
What a shame Lincoln is building these in freaking China 🇨🇳I would still buy the Lincoln because I own one, now reliable issues at all
The Chinese are manufacturing good cars nowadays even the US is asking for help
Did you watch the review? You can shut the screen off. Who in their right mind would buy a 15 year old vehicle from a buy here pay here?
two words - porn. it is two words if you do it right
Like it, but it's $15k too expensive to be designed and built in China. At $82k, who would ever buy this over a BMW x5?
It's $69K FWIW
Big screen just to hide how good it doesn't handle! Screen is impressive but that's it! Small steering wheel sucks! Then they got the navigator and took the rear light from here and put them on the big boyyy! Navigator looks nice in the front but the back is garbage and the inside screens are crap!!
👎👎👎
I drove one and it has crazy turbo lag and somethings were rattling when braking. also something was shaking in the side panel. made in China. Also,, an hour earlier I drove a new mazda cx70, it was nice, so I had something to compare with the lincoln.
This had little to no lag and not one squeak or rattle.
Troll
@@peteharris556um no, not a troll. I test drove this and it was horrible. do you always leave lame comments? did you drive or own one?
80 thousand dollars for a Lincoln? 80 thousand dollars for a Lincoln made in China?! You can shove it, screen and all!
but... but... but... say the apologists. this is why fomoco sucks. four cylinder in something this size is not luxury, sorry!
90% of what you own, wear and use is made there. Calm down
Not sure how many they can sell at this price. Wait for employee price with 30% off price
It's built in China and exported to the US
As soon as you said china it was a no go
Why?
@@RoguePlanetStudio same. I don't reward companies who refuse to hire and support citizens in their origin country. Cut exec salaries and positions first before you outsource.
@@Alex-se3uythe nautilus was built in canada before this 😂. They're building in China for now because canada factory is being rebuilt for electric vehicle support.
@yejoonyang9552 Naive to think they'd only build in China "for now".
@@Alex-se3uy they've expressed plans on transitioning to full ev at some point like many other brands, manufacturing in China is becoming less and less profitable due to tariffs and ev tax credit deals only apply for vehicles manufactured in the US. Is it so naive to think they won't jump at this opportunity to stop building in China? Also this nautilus is technically not new for 2024, it's been around since 2023 as a China only model and it seems probable they started shipping the China model overseas because the US version Nautilus cannot be even assembled right now. All of this points at a temporary manufacturing plan for China capped at the end of this generation of Nautilus.
That’s a hideous dashboard.
ugh, drony four, good luck with luxury feeling. was that a single hood latch I saw? POS ford build quality. enjoy the fancy stuff before it breaks. and on a bronco sport platform. wth?!?
This much screen should be illegal
Why?
just think, it could get a tariff and add extra cost that shouldn't be there in the first place.
two words - porn
Toyota fan girl🤓
Ok gramps
While mounting the rear window wiper at the top cleans up the look, it doesn't clean much of the window. That's why most manufacturers mount it at the bottom of the window, much more efficient with the better view. The car is just too expensive and underpowered for a wannabe luxury brand.
I don't care how good it is, I'm not buying a Chinese subscription car
yea yea yea ...
actually, problem is it's a fomoco product, regardless of country of origin
Blah blah blah… if you own a smart phone you already pay for the same technology
Stay in the past then.
No TikTok either. Or Temu.
The previous President wanted Ford to close its factory in Mexico. Ford now ships vehicles from China instead of Mexico. American workers, rejoice! You've been taken care of.
I'm only sticking to top Japanese cars, not throwing my money away on repairs.
Made in China!?!? Are you kidding me!!?!? Seriously, they're having this built in China and STILL charging these prices?!? Screw that noise! Ford/Lincoln just lost a HUGE amount of respect and potentially any future business from me.
Sadly the exterior is the most plain, boring, unassuming, and non-luxury looking SUV I have ever seen. No wonder I don't see them on the road. The Aviator looks much better. They should but the 48 inch display in that.
I could get ticketed for distracted driving with a screen that big.
think how it'd be watching porn!
$69,000 for a 4 cylinder Ford Bronco Sport oh my bad a Ford Escape
Really good looking vehicle, inside and out. But it is an American luxury brand built in China. You just have to laugh. 🤣
is this a glorified Ford Edge?
No. Just chinese crap. 💩
not as much as it used to be. I'm sure there are Edge bits, but the chassis is its own
Is the RX a glorified Venza?
nope, glorified bronco sport
@@DrivenCarReviews glorified venza > glorified anything fomoco
So dumb
A Chinese-built 2000cc four popper yoked to a CVT.
This is a glorified rickshaw lmao
where do you think most stuff is made?nintendo included! but I get your point!
Not a cvt
@@peteharris556 Hybrid is CVT, 2.0T is 8-speed. Still a glorified rickshaw. Should definitely buy one.
1750 pounds of towing capacity. Pitiful.
we need more crap in a car to distract us from driving yeah lets hit the next tree
