You may knock him all you want but Newsted left Metallica with his integrity intact, still believing in the music that fueled him all of his life. This effort by him only proves that! Metallica on the other hand has tried to recapture what they lost all these years ago, and never succeeded! Newsted still has the drive, and they should have listened to his input more, as it might just have saved them in the end instead of putting them on the course to self-destruction as evident with their extremely lackluster recent efforts.
Metallica created so many great songs after Jason left, what did Jason create by leaving? Few decent songs like this. Although I can agree about his drive and attitude, but it does not mean his decision was more successful music wise or metal wise.
Death Magnetic and Hardwired were both solid albums. What you on about? With that said, Jason Newsted is probably the greatest metal bassist alive now.
Too bad the musical result and his bitch attitude amounted to nothing. He can't follow through...metallica.voivod.hisnown solo shit. Echobrain and dv8 with Devin Townsend. Demo tracks is all he can do. Pathetic
