@@meghanmacqueen5157 Yeah I feel you, I’ve heard a lot (especially newer) fans describe their sound as making them “feel nostalgic for a time they didn’t experience” lol. They have a lot of beautiful songs but this is one of their very best, IMO. It also reminds me of my mom, so it’s very dear to me.
This tune sounds like a song that I've been waiting my whole life to hear....

I was lucky enough to see Alvvays in Manchester U.K a couple of weeks ago. They were amazing live! Took me back to all the times I've watched them on KEXP ❤
These KEXP live versions are absolute gold. I loved the album version but this is just as amazing.
When she smiles, she's having a melt up with the tune. Me too every time she hits that falsetto.

This is a live performance...? It's phenomenal. I woke up with a thousand problems to bring me down, but listening to this first thing makes it all a little easier to bear.

This is where it all started for me. This song. This clip. I discovered Alvvays one night about 4 or 5 years ago with this beautiful rendition of this amazing song....and it still gives me chills. I had never heard of Alvvays before, but that night, I became a huge fan. That outro kills me. Every. time.

+FRIED CHICKEN The rising finish at the end of the song is perfect, adds just a little bit of country twang and style to an otherwise fantastic performance.
Yes - infinitely better than the album. I love it. It doesn't beat seeing Harriet Wheeler and The Sundays live in a small club over two decades ago, but it's still awesome.
