I love that you brought some history receipts… Some people swear in 2024, one female brought the most viewership to the women’s basketball as if to say no other women had ever done this… Thank you for your countless hours of hard work you put in to speak the TRUTH on Women’s Sports! Jemele you are such an inspiration! I’m so proud of your success, Sis! 🫂 if i can give you a hug 🫂! 💚✨💚🙌🏽
Well yes, without that one woman we wouldn’t even be taking about the wnba right now. Don’t get me wrong, there were great (and better) players before CC but the reason the viewership went way up was because of CC. I know it’s hard for people like Jemele and you to admit a white girl saved your league 😂
Wow?!? This is interesting, Jemele. I never knew that women played 3 on 3 offense and defense sides of court with a total of six players on both sides the court❓️💯🤔😊
That's right. The WNBA should function as a standalone business. Rather than depend on the NBA subsidizing the league, let's see how it does on its own just like every other sports league. Show and prove!

I agree. It will fail if it can't leech off of the NBA and have to be shut down. I'm sure all 6 fans will be disappointed though.
When you look at the youth girls soccer softball and volleyball markets you will see that there is an enormous investment in our young girls on the part of the families and we support them and take them to some of the most off the wall places to compete. As out young girls grow into young women somewhere the wheels fall off and I can say that part of it is due to lack of overall support and marketing by the powers that be. Yes things are better from when I was taking my daughter to her tournaments nearly 20yrs ago but hell when you look at the money that's generated at the youth level it's only right to continue that as they reach the collegiate levels
This is an excellent video. I would point out at Sedona Prince (on my all-time favorite college player list b/c of the attention she brought to the disparities) b/is still playing. She's at TCU this year.

Thanks for sliding Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill in there.

Jemele Hill... Thank you SO much for this knowledge
Great information 👍🏾
I'm glad it's finally arrived that women's sports is experiencing notariety and financial rewards.

Actually, Sedona Prince is still playing-she is on the same TCU team with Hailey Van Lith!
Well, that was exciting, informative and infuriating. Thanks for the reporting.
