He should be given projects and supported on every level, this science is greater than space science, and making this planet lively is better than wasting a single penny on space exploration missions.

No problem if govt is not responding or delaying, private agencies, NGOs must come forward and start working right away under their guidance. Govt response takes time. When I was growing up in a village in Kerala, most houses were of one to two acres of land. In each house, there was a pond. Then there were bigger ponds attached to temples where people went to take bath. The village then always had water. Now things are different. Houses are in small plots. Ponds are not there anywhere. Water problems have started despite the fact that Kerala has two monsoons. In June July and in November.

    2- the understanding of old and traditional methods of life can save the world a lot of money and resources
    3- they need to grow fish in those ponds as I imagine the mosquito would be a problem with such large water bodies and fish eliminates this problem while giving them extra food to harvest .
    4- the spirit of initiative and leadership is soooo important those people would've been a group of poor thirsty starving bunch today 2021 if it wasn't for God's mercy then one mans initiative and thoughts .

    People don't know that deserts are also very important. The monsoon of India is dependent on Our Thar Desert.
    So It's a very bad idea to eliminate desert.
    Although we should do efforts to stop desertification. We should plants more trees around the desert not in the desert.

    • @irmar
      @irmar 5 дней назад

      Yes but there is much more desert now than there was a century or two ago, because people cut trees and overgrazed land and built concrete cities. The useful deserts are a much smaller area than what exists today, So it's not only about stopping at our current situation, but going back a century or two, when green coverage was optimum.
      More trees equal more rain, because of the moisture they release into the atmosphere.

    This is awesome, great stuff. I've always wondered why rain harvesting isn't more common. Here they cut the water off for hours sometimes during the summertime, but yet we have HUGE rainfall in the rainy season. I'll we'd need is a reservoir to harvest water from regular rainwater.
