In this video I've got a some tips to help you land big drops on your snowboard. Doing drops into powder is one one of my favourite things to do in snowboarding. It allows you to ride some more difficult terrain and can help you add more freestyle elements to your snowboarding. If you have any questions about cliff drops of powder snowboarding let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching!

I don’t know if you do it, but something that really helps is working out your legs. Strong legs enable you to stomp much bigger drops.

Thanks for the tips! Id love to see a more detailed breakdown on achieving the correct speed for jumps/step downs etc... sort of a beginners guide. How to judge, what the correct speed should feel like and consequences of over shooting vs under cooking it.

One thing that helps me on steep drops is landing almost in a squatting position as it helps mitigate being too far forward or back

A simple grab (Indy) helps me keep my balance

Do you want to land with a little more pressure toe side like with kickers? Or more mid foot?

Can you share the brand and model of your yellow jacket. We are unable to open your bergfreunde website in Europe.

Take a couple of lessons. You'll still eat dirt for a couple of days but it will be worth it in the long run.

Get out there and be patient with yourself because once it starts to click its some of the most fun you can have

If it's REALLY deep a cambered board is probably not your best bet

I like a combo with a camber tail and rocker nose. What do you prefer?

@@SnowboardProCamp My current "powder" board is a Custom Flying V with the bindings set back. It actually works pretty well in terms on not depending primarily on my rear leg for support. This year I'm hoping to get a true pow board though.
