      Also recently upgraded to 1 tb 990 pro - faster is better. Though I am looking forward to when the storage sizes of NVME drives are more capacity and cheaper so i can completely do away with the standard traditional hard drives used in my 10 gb NAS

    You can find both versions with heatsink; however, I didn't need one since my motherboard already has heatsinks, and it works just fine.

    Is it better to have an integrated heat sink if you gonna use it on a laptop ?

    • @techlinkzone
      @techlinkzone  2 года назад

      Yes, a heat sink, and a channel of moving air to remove heat from the processor and other devices that can be damaged from overheating.

    Hi i am thinking to buy this nvme ssd for my pc.
    Asus prime z690 motherboard. Which has 4 m.2 slots 3 of them is with heat sink on the motherboard and one is without heatsink.
    I am think to use this nvme on the m.2 slot without heat sink.
    My question is the m.2 slot which is without heat is connected to chipset not the cpu
    Will it effect the performance of mp600 pro lxp 1tb connected to chipset slot.
    Also have a option to buy the Mp600 pro xt nvme ssd 1tb.
    Which is also with larger heatsink.
    Thank u

    I have the WD SN 750 and even with the heatsink that comes with this and it still gets hella hot so could you recommend a better heatsink that can cool my drive down.

    Hey guys, I need to learn if WD Black SN850 Ram's heatsink can be removed completely to be used for laptops? Has anyone tried to remove it completely safely? Thanks..
