Vaccine Equity & Access Program: New Horizons

In Mississippi, a faith-based organization is prioritizing partnership and community outreach and finding new ways to care for their community. New Horizons Ministries, Inc. is the outreach arm of New Horizon Church International (NHCI) - a faith-based organization based in Jackson, Mississippi. During the pandemic, they began hosting events, including community health and wellness fairs -- where they would distribute free services like vaccinations, health and wellness screenings, and food giveaways to engage local community members. These touchpoints created opportunities for New Horizons to develop and build relationships with community leaders, business owners, and health and wellness providers while maintaining a strong reputation within the communities they serve.
