I watched this vid a few weeks back and took the tips - keeping arms closer to the body and cover the shot with my chest. I've hit some of my best 55 and 60 degree shots since. Great tip Matt and thanks

Thank u Matt u r the only person I am listening to I don’t want to overwhelm myself so you are my teacher.. I must say I have definitely slimmed down my wildness to landing in the fairway more often because of you. I don’t want to get everybody’s opinion and make it too complicated. You’re my guy because of your great humor and enthusiasm. I will keep following and love golf Hollacks also!!!!

You talked about Tip 3: staying down to keep elbow in. I just saw this video today but out of nowhere, I was doing that all day yesterday and pureing my irions all over the place. 18 holes of wow. I have been doing that with all clubs and i don't have the spine that backs away at impact any more. I found about 15 extra yards with eACH CLUB DUE TO THE LAG THIS GENERATES. SPANKING THE BALL... ON TARGET. HITTING GREENS AND FAIRWAYS NOW A BAZILLION MORE TIMES, MORE BIRDIE OPS.. A FEW EAGLE OPS ON PAR 5''s... DANG.
and I shot an 81 yesterday. Best round ever. I got 5 birdies on the day. Three birdies to finish out the back. all because of the TIP #3 that I just seemed to start doing. I played today and I was at it again. very good ball striking. Can't wait to practice my wedges now. Thanks!

I went to Golf Galaxy last year for a driver fitting. They gave me 2 or 3 different brands to try and I kept hitting weak fades. As soon as the ball starts moving right I know I’m losing distance. The guy helping me with the fitting said to try to keep my right elbow in. That’s all he said. And like magic I started hitting straight balls and 20 yards longer. No BS. Now that’s my main swing thought all the way through the bag and I’ve been hitting my most on target shots ever since. Might not work for everyone, or there might be technical reasons for not always doing it, I don’t know, but it’s a simple fix and this is golf and the game is tough to play well. When you find something that works stick with it.

Totally agree with this comment. Loved the video and instruction from Matt as always. But having that second camera up by the green to show the results would have been very helpful and made the video just a little more interesting and complete. Regardless, just great tips and fun to watch as always.

Clean wedges, keep the grooves sharp, no divot, sweep the grass and good follow through. Always get good backspin, no problem. The key is to make good contact with the ball without taking a divot.

One of the best thing about the sport is that it is good for people of all ages especially for mature people and families. Looks like a skill for a professional athlete in the PGA. I think some people prefer to do a flopshot. Its hard to make it stop quickly especially at that distance in the golf course. Its worth trying in the future

Add in opening the clubface to expose more bounce. You will still flight it down even with the open clubface, but you will add a ton more spin. It's all about nipping it off the turf. I personally prefer no divot, just nip it. I can flat out spin my wedges a ridiculous amount. 50 yards oh yeah I can suck it back from that range if I wanted too.
