They are known to havethe occasional spring failure..but usually left rear...that has been my experience...best to go with STOCK OEM parts...whether a regular suspension or sport....you probably drove about on that for quite aspell
Can I ask which coilovers you purchased. I bought the stance ultra and when attempting to fit them they appear to be incorrect. Yours is the second video I’ve seen with the stance coilovers and both sets look different to the ones I’ve been sent. Just trying to work out what I my set should look like before I reach out to the company to try get them swapped.
it was these ones.. www.stanceduk.com/products/stance-street-coilover-suspension-kit-bmw-z4-e85-03-09-2-5i-3-0i-3-0si-1?_pos=1&_sid=f9365ef3f&_ss=r But remember you also need wheel spacers as the front coils foul the wheels. Pindex Car Wheel Spacers 5 x 120 these are what we used. amzn.to/3YkTrKf
Sits really nice now, I'd be interested in a review after a few months to see how they feel/hold up. My 2.5 is on 19's with a bigger offset and I've looked at this kit so hopefully for me, spacers won't be required.
Hi Richard. Quite possibly! There was no info in the kit regarding this, but then I don't believe it mentioned needing the wheel spacers either. That was just discovered by chance on a forum. That said, once we done one side, the other drop link was easy to get into position.
my z4 is dropped about the same speed bumps are a nightmare I'm on H&R springs. even one wheel at a time didn't stop some underside scrapes.
Yeah its pretty bad in uk but Poland is even worse. I damaged the exhaust on my 2.2 Z4 in a previous video due to speed bumps.

Thanks for sharing and your probably correct👍
I subscribed at 6:36. Sooo funny.
Is it not a normal drop link setup with a dual flat sided part on the drop link side where you hold it with a spanner to undo?
Yeah I mention that in the video with a pointy arrow and some text. We didnt realise at the time until we put it back together though :(
@Bryano DeSilva ah, apologies, must of missed that as I was sneakily watching at work.
Ha ha nice one I used to do that too😝
Do you have an update as to have these have been doing since you installed them?
They have been absolutely perfect. No issues at all. Well worth the money.

thats some tight fitment right there! and indeed greasing up the coilover threads wouldve helped haha. preferably aluminium grease
Yeah the worst was we didnt realise we needed the spacers until we tried to drive it. Damage was minimum but a real pain!
