VivaCity 125 to 180cc big bore build

Using my 3D printed tool I show you how I managed to bore out the GY6 125cc to take a 180cc cylinder. Is it genius or a disaster? Sorry about the music at the beginning. RUclips decided it was copyrighted material and replaced it. But it didn't stop it where it should have and wiped out my audio! I was probably talking rubbish, so you didn't miss much.

I’ve a friend that’s had 126 for the last 15 years, it hasn’t driven in 12, broke down every time he drove it in the other 3 years. Fun little car but desperately needs disk brakes and an engine conversion Vw 1.8t or a 1.9 pd would be my choice 😂
Yeah i do have plans for the engine, not a swap initially but i want to investigate other ideas i have first. Brakes deffo, once bodywork is in good condition certainly discs on the front. I kinda want to keep car as close to stock as possible, but who knows!
Another class vid! You’re right, more subscribers means more tools and more content! Gan on the grey George Clarke
Thankyou very much 👍 George is from my neck of the woods 😁

Good afternoon just found you on here and yes my maluch is misbehaving, I'm in a place near koszalin been here for about 2 years now , brought the 126 for something to do near finished it great vids enjoying watching you
I am pleased your enjoying the vids. Im back over xmas time so hopefully more content to come

I'll keep that in mind for my next project. In fact i already have my eye on a 2 stroke
Will the police do anything if the stop you?

Purchased a 2000 126 a couple months ago and restoration time has began. Your videos have been a life savour in the smaller items like valve clearances. Much love from the UK!
Fantastic pleased to hear and thankyou very much. Keep us updated on your progress and share your knowledge, as will help others keep their 126 Maluch on the road 👍
If you ever need to do this again, try spraying the sensor only with freezer spray,if you have enough access with a warm engine. Then you should have a better chance due to thermal difference ref expansion and contraction. Due to the temp differential
Good tip 👍 But im not going to try this again. Next time mechanic. Thanks.
@@desilva68 I understand why you say this, but my comment is more for the people who view your video of this nightmare
Excellent work sir . Good wee tutorial on British shed mechanics . 👍 going to set about mine now, was worried I would break it . Thank you 😅
Thanks 👍
Nice i love ❤Habana 😊👍
Cool! Wow!
hi and what welder you using please
Its a Clarke pro 90 mig welder
Hello, i have a vivacity 2013 and i was curious what type of engine i can switch to i can t find the original one , if you can help me:)
Do you not have an engine at all ? If you do there is a serial number near the head. If you google it it should tell you which one you have.
beast
Hi mate, do you only need to put the copper ring on the bottom? There are 2 neoprene o rings that are exactly the same size as well with the gasket kits and the handbook never mentions where these are meant to fit. I found the remains of some kind of seal under my cylinder sleeve so I'm wondering if that's a neoprene o ring
I think i only had the copper rings. one on each cylinder.
Also did you go for a like for like sensor from Audi or an after market one ?
Aftermarket from ebay
Great video mate good to see one that unfortunately gives you issues as I was going to attempt this on my own but seeing how difficult it could be I’ll let a mechanic do it 👍
Defo get a mechanic. This had my pants down 😫
Yeah I’ve seen a couple of vids saying the nut can sheer or break so better off with a pro doing it also been told to go for like for like replacement but they can vary in price from £45-£150 🫣
@@davidwalker4800 £54.99 it cost me from ebay. It works so not bad. I think the main problem was the nut is made from stainless steel and its soft. So most of the threads stripped inside exhaust when trying to get it off. I did actually think if this does'nt work then i will cut exhaust on either side and weld some sort of connector to slide it back on. Then some exhaust clamps to hold in place. But so far its worked great.
How is the Stamos a year on. Any problems with it?
To be honest I haven't tried it for a while. Do you suspect it's not very good by any chance? Im hoping to be using it again in the next couple of months for a new project im working on, so ill see then.
@@desilva68 No idea really, just curious if you have had any problems as it will be Chinese made but Stamos may have required additional quality control or design mods. Some Chinese based welders get a poor rep, others seem ok.
Did swapping the nanoplex help? Were you able to find a blue module or did you replace with a red module?
Hi, yes I bought a secondhand blue module for about £50 that did the trick. I suspected the one in car was faulty as a screw was missing from mounting plate and the heat sink separated as i took it off the car. Best £50 spent I would say!
@@desilva68 awesome, good to know. They're hard to find but I'm getting something out of Poland.
I got mine from Facebook marketplace when in Poland. Set my settings to Wroclaw and there is a place where he has loads and posts. Maybe he only posts inside Poland but i got it while I was there. Good luck hope it works 👍
Thanks for the advice I have a friend in Poland who sources hard to find parts. He found a unit and will hopefully get it early next week. Not sure if from the same seller as yours
Thanks bro
What wheel size you have and what’s the size of the spacer for the front ?
18" wheels with 225 tires. Front spacer is 15mm rear spacer 10mm. Hope this helps.
I’ve never seen anything so gangster in all my life. Ghetto love. ❤️
Ha ha cheers man👍

@@desilva68 no worries it's not about the criticism it's the journey that matters bud, still a nice bike.
I can’t for the life of me free the gear pedal from the spindle at all :/
It was tough but should come. Maybe it had been painted and just a tight fit. You could try heat if not WD40. but do the heat before you do the wd, otherwise you may loose your eyebrows😂. Keep going and let me know how it goes.
How did it get through MOT with the delete?
Hasnt been for MOT yet. But plan is to put original back on and maybe leave it, its too loud🤣
That seemed to go very well. Genius 😅 and modest too
Very modest. its a bit like shy bairns get nowt.... i think?
I know your pain mate. I’m on side 2 of sills, floor and arches. My floor was worse nut your rails were further gone than mine.

Who needs quiet when you can have the Mad Max vibe, right? Thanks for checking out my other content! There will be more updates on this bike soon. Currently trying out a headlight cowl painted in the gulf colours and a new GPS speedo also in gulf colours. Maybe too much but we will soon see how it all looks. Thanks @Brian07900
Very interesting video : ) Its nice to see whats involved in taking a scooter engine apart
Glad you enjoyed it!
I also own a 2004 BMW Z4 E85 2.5L, all I can say is you never think this car is a 20-year-old car! Great performance, great out looking, and outstanding drivability compared to all sporty cars today. Look forward to having a sunny day to do a Z4 car meeting later, I am in London.
Couldn't agree more!👍
While scrolling RUclips, I saw your RUclips channel, its a very professional channel, your content is very amazing and you have huge amount of subscribers, but you didn't do full SEO in your videos and didn't use attractive thumbnails. As a result, your videos don't reach the target audience and your views don't come. If you observe these things, your RUclips channel will grow big in few days.
what are the size of the nuts and bolts?
Hi, not 100% sure as its been a while but i think they were a 17mm head, so probably 10mm thread.
