They are banned because instead of using fidgets for their reasons (ADD etc.) kids use them for "Trends" and it's distracting Children from their work, meaning you need a doctors note instead of just bringing them

1. most of these toys were specifically made and marketed towards kids, 2. in the 1950's smoking was a very commonplace thing so a kid to think it was cool wasn't because they felt ''bad'' but grown up. 3. you forgot to mention that in the 50's $50 was worth more, 4. partically no one is using a fidget spinner, 5. it would be pretty fuckin hard for a small child to romove the bearings and small ball bearings inside.

Kids these days are so dumb that they can turn any harmless toy like a fidget spinner into something that can cause injuries.
I've heard of a ten year old who put her's in her mouth and choked on one of the pieces.
that's not really the fault of the company, so much as poor parenting and not teaching a kid to not put everything in your mouth. besides, you'd have to work to get a piece of a spinner to come of into your mouth.
