Not sure about the TR4, but I do know someone who fitted a Stag engine in a TR6, he called it a TR6V8 mk1! He did have to modify the n/s inner wing to fit the alternator high up on the left as it wouldn't fit in the usual place or access would have been too restrictive, I can't remember which. It drove and handled very well.

Hi I have never heard of anyone fitting one, its quite a big engine so doubt it would fit without major alterations.
