  • In 2010 Tinie Tempah took over the world with “Pass Out” and follow up debut album ‘Disc-Overy’, changing the game in the UK forever and having a lasting impact on a generation of music fans - like me - growing up at the time.
    But in 2021 what does Tinie Tempah’s legacy stand for and is “Passout” going to be what defines him forever?
    Join me, Johno Ramsay, as I go back to 2010 and reminisce about the ‘good times’ like a proper old geezer in this video.

    hey man, been watching a few of your vids. just one thing i noticed that would make your videos better from a "youtube standpoint" would be to look straight into the camera at all times, instead of at screen/recording (which i presume is what youre doing now). obviously not the biggest thing in the world, but i feel it actually makes a huge difference, specially on youtube and with commentary vids or whatever. gives it a more personal feel.

    • @xXMattyXGoesXRawrXx
      @xXMattyXGoesXRawrXx 3 года назад +1

      @@RIDEMusicYT I think balance will be key. Covering newer stuff keeps your appeal wide to newer audiences, keeping in touch with your own nostalgia will mean you're always making content you feel a connection to, and that connection will turn into views because other people have them as well, the hood films idea was a great place to go. Tbf there's a number of artists from that scene that probably have cool stories to tell, Lethal B (from More Fire threw fire camp to pow and beyond), the story of Pay As U Go (where Wiley emerged from, among other well known MCs that moved to Roll Deep like Flowdan and Breeze, godsgift) and their involvement in the grimey-garage era, vs. So Solid Crew/Heartless Crew, acts like Oxide And Neutrino making moves from garage to grime at the time. I'm big on the progression of the actual music, as a story. I'm sure there's plenty of great era's in Wiley's career worth talking about, Dizzee vs. Asher D- and lastly Flirta D, the most original grime MC of all time, great topic for a video, definitely been done, but could always be done better.

    • @xXMattyXGoesXRawrXx
      @xXMattyXGoesXRawrXx 3 года назад

      that era of 2009-2013, where grime was totally dead, but a number of it's stars were rising, leaving the sound behind and generally just embarassing itself before the resurgance in 2014 starting with German Whip into That's not Me- The Tinie Tempah/n dubz pop era, lethal B crossing over, chipmunk blowing up after Wiley took him to Westwood with Icekid, gwarning pop and then trying to 360 around back into grime scene.
      Hell the Pepper Riddim Saga should definitely be it's own video. Chip vs. tinie, chip vs. bugzy, chip vs. narstie, chip vs. chip, narstie, jammer, devilman, skepta vs devilman 2, the whole 2013/4/5 clash saga. Maybe even all the way up to yungen, I'm not sure, covered way too much there haha
