For a popstar. In terms of grime levels he is toilet, which us why no one took his 'serious' stuff serious 😅 his fans were kids and not interested in that. Grime wasn't interested cos he was way off the top levels.
I went to St Aloysius school in Highgate and Dappys older bro Sypros was in my class. I met, his dad Byron, his mum Zoe and I also met Dappy numerous times, he was a small lil kid wid curtains and id left before he started and eventually got expelled. Dappy was quiet, well spoken and both brothers were into their Karate religiously, Spyros was a spitting image of Byron, really into his drums and used to always drum beats on the table constantly during lessons, I think he's a personal trainer now but as far as I knew, Dappy and his family were cool. I was quite saddened when I heard his dad passed but I'm proud of what he's achieved and I wish the family all the best.
He's been smashing it since 2018, this isn't a comback lol he's been back.
Was in my twenties when N Dubz exploded, i liked a few of their tracks but all the drama behind the group kind of put me off them. Since Dappy went solo i think he's grown up and blossomed. Can't get enough of his music now and i actually like him as a person. I wish him nothing but well and hope he gets all the recognition he deserves. Glad there's other folk out there that feel the same as be great to see him feeling some love for a change with all he's done for the music industry.

I feel sorry for the guy,I think he’s been treated bad. My niece was only 3yrs old when she ran to Dappy after recognising him at a fair in Birmingham when he just famous. He was brill with her and spent an hr with her n her mum n dad. He took her on rides and also put his big chain round her neck n had photos with her. Lovely guy n I wish him all the best xx

People forget N dubs were pop. No matter how many bad freestyles dappy puts out trying to tell people he was grime he wasn't. He was a singer in a pop band for kids.
N dubs had mad following but no one over 14 fucked with em and they didn't get any real respect in the grime scene. Dropping some 'hot bars' to teenagers on a pop song nothing like putting out heat for the streets. Tarzan etc were just soooo bad and it's like he is oblivious to what lane he should be in.
Daps took grime stars collabing for that pop bag as giving him street recognition as a grime artist. Then when the pop shit fell off he felt like he was qualified to kill that scene. Obvs didn't happen cos why would it? Common sense said failure was inevitable. Dappy will never be on the level of ghetto, goodz, diz, trim etc but he behaved like he was one of them and at their level. He isn't.
His freestyles compared to any grime OG are awful tbh. Even discounting the hate for his fake tan and golf glove 😅

I remember back when I started Secondary school I used to love I N-Dubz and I used to dress just like Dappy I had the hats and everything I had all the albums posters and everything I was a massive fan. Thouse where better days everything was just so chill back then.... I've always been a fan of dappys music even his new stuff is really good it's shame that the media have to tear him down just no need for it! Also I wonder what Fazer is doing these days? 🤔
