Home Theatre System:Best for watching movies/listening to music. HiFi System:Best for listening music. Soundbar:Best for replacing tv speakers for audio.
Thank you for this wonderful piece of info. This came just in time I'm about to change my home sound system. Now I can make a better decision. Thumbs up bro
This is a good video for sure. You explain the differences pretty good! The thing is, what you call "Audio Set" is something that wants to be a bridge between a PA system and and a Hifi System without making one fo those parts good. I mean it seems that such Sony or LG or what ever system are popular in other countries. I'm from germany btw. At the end what makes you happy is the best. It is just... PA Systems are not as shiny looking or easy to use but give you so much more audio for your money. I had an LG cm4441 system and Sony Shake X3D as a kid. You don't get much bigger systems of this kind in germany because they are unpopular here. But the videos and even when you use them you really think that they have the claimed 2000Watts. They are loud and get stuff to shake. Seems cool, till you really get to know what music can sound like. My shake x3d claims to have about 2000Watts RMS. In germany they have to write the max power input on the back side by law. Guess what stands there... 220 Watts maximum power input. So it can't have more than that. Don't get me wrong, it can get loud. But why? Because efficiency and EQ. They use small "motors" on the drivers and cut off all the real low end. The higher mid kick bass doesn't need so much power and the thin enclosures and realitve big drivers make them boomy and loud. The rest gets lost. Even my small 6.5" 30 Watt Pioneer Sub had way more low end then my shake X3D... But didn't get as loud. A friend of mine has an PA system called "dB Technologies ES602" which has one 10" sub and one mid and high driver. Here a link but it is german (www.thomann.de/de/db_technologies_es602.htm). So it is mono but costs about half what I paid for my X3D and has real 800Watt of RMS power. I can tell you that my X3D is a total joke against this thing and you can even get 2 of them for the money of my X3D and pair them to stereo. Sure you still need a mixer for Connection and it doesn't look as "cool" but it sounds so much better and has more low end and is way louder. It will easy outperform any of the Sony, LG, Panasonic, ... System by far for less money. But then again, I don't know how much market there is in other countries for PA systems and they aren't as easy to use. For my part I have build myself an Surround system which is as well my Hifi System. Quality Audio is something so wonderful and still my SVS PB 2000 Pro Sub with real 550Watts RMS has more power and by far more low end and I can tell you, accurate and low bass is so much better and it still shakes the whole house if you want. Okay, my sub is alone is more expensive the most of these "Audio Sets" but hey there are less expensive options in Hifi as well. At the End, if you are happy with what you have, then it is fine. Like I said, if you buy such an LG system or like I had Sony shake X3D, they are easy to use and look "cool". I can give them that for sure. But for sound alone, there are way better options for less money. At least in the german market. As an example: "Teufel Rockster". It is a massive Bluetooth speaker with an 15" driver and real 500 Watts of RMS power. It as well will outperform most of this stuff. It is easy to use and still relativ good looking and portable. It is expensive as well with about 1000 Euros but then again I think Teufel mostly just sells in germany. A similar box would be Soundboks but I don't have experience with that.
Great video 👌 all I'd say is maybe turn the background music down a bit, sometimes the music was a little loud (even though I know the video is about music/sound)
Great content have been looking for this for a long while. Sold my Hifi system the Sony Shake X7D and bought a Samsung Q990C soundbar hometheatre hybrid
Nope, audio sets don't offer sorround effect for movies, and some don't support video DVD. I'd suggest any of the rule breakers. Sony HT line up or LG LHD line up. Check for at least 500W and above for a good bass.
great insight man... I am looking to purchase the LG body guard maybe 687 or 677. My question is regards the connectivity. I don't like wires lying around, is it possible to achieve connection via bluetooth?
If you have a smart TV, you can go wireless from the TV to the home theatre DVD, but from the DVD to the speakers, you have to do wires... The only good news is that the speaker wires on the LHD are usually with transparent coating that makes it look like its invisible... Other than that, the Bluetooth on your tv is the best way to minimise the wires. 😁
You know those ain't Hi-Fi systems right? Hi-Fi stands for High Fidelity, and what you described is a High Output Stereo sound system. A Hi-Fi system is calibrando to every possible variable that existe in your setup and often the room itself is also calibrated to the sound blueprint of the system with sound treatment in the walls, ceiling, floor and corners. A soundbar is meant to replace the tv crappy speakers using a slick and minimalist appereance. There are many types of soundbars, from those that are soundbar only (cheap and bad but better than the tv built in speakers), those with a built in subwoofer like a JBL cinema sb510, some with dedicated subwoofer like a JBL cinema sb550, some with dedicated surround channels (separate enclosures) and you can even find soundbar based modular systems that go all the way into the surround home theatre systems and fall barely shy of a base line Hi-Fi system. (There are systems that include a dedicated soundbar, 2 main front channels, 2 side surround channels, a subwoofer, an optional second subwoofer and the optional back channels for a full surround setup). Home theaters are surround system based setups. They include the stereo front channels, a subwoofer and the side/back surround channels as a baseline. It is very common to also find a central channel in them, being a 5.1 channel system but they can go all the way to 7.2 or 9.2 systems (first number is the ammount of midrange speakers and the one after the dot is the ammount of subwoofers in the system). They are meant to focus their sound inside a speciphic área in a room, providing a great experience for multiple vienes through a clear, detailed and rich sound. They can get preety loud as you go up in price, size and number of channels. Now, HO stereo systems (High Output Stereo sound systems) are either 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2 type systems. They are meant to be loud and clear enough for people to enjoy music. They are way better than cheap soundbars but they are often too poorly made and tuned to even compete with mildly decent 2.1 or 3.1 soundbar systems (soundbar and subwoofer), so they rely on pure loudness to be attractive (High output is in their name). They tend to blow themselves, sound muddy, unbalanced and are prone to be abused by their owners due to their marketing being badet out of loudness and power (yeah, this ones are the ones you see with crazy and fake numbers of watts p.m.p.o). Their proper equivalent is a mobile DJ setup with 2 cabinets and 2 subwoofers meant to be played outdoors with tons of people. If you are looking for an indoor setup to enjoy content, móviles, tv shows and music in family I recomment to get a good Soundbar system. If you want a cinema dedicated system that will only reproduce movie audio and tv shows, get a home theatre. If you want the system to perform outdoors for parties in your garden with more than 30 people and allow you to dance and have a great club-like experience at home, then get dedicated speakers like the ones Mobile djs use (JBL EON series, QSC K series, EV ZLX series...). Those ain't cheap, but they are cheaper than buying and blowing a stereo system every year for your birthday
I have a home theater connected with my tv for movies n is good but, I need a music boom thing that throws extra bass and hits harder... So I think if lg ck57 hifi. What could u recommend?
@naimasam4031 it's really loud i have coustom EQ with all the settings on max and the bass on -4 with MEGA BASS and it's rattling my whole house at volume 30 only
I should have seen this before buyiny my soundbar 😢😢😢....I made a mistake I want to party with my peers and family not indoors.
This is what I have been looking for all this while, I haven't seen this kind of enlightenment anywhere
Thanks for the encouragement😄

I have a old Sony home speaker. Also have an Atmos soundbar from Sony. That home audio speaker sounds better with aux in. Like there is no comparison.
Excellent observation ... There are no losses, its like plugging in a headphone
I have neighbors I hate 😈…..it’s bouta get loud af in here 😂
Lol😅
Great content
Thanks a bunch 🙏

Detail enough, nice one...
I’m a lover of bass, but I love simple looks , idk if the sound bar will serve me in my room
A sound bar with sub woofer would do just fine🤠🤠
Excellent video!
😇🤠🤗...
Thank you for this explanation
You are welcome 🤠
How can I connect Hi Fi to a Smart TV. Do they come in ARC
Bluetooth is the best way, aux and optical can also go.
For the Sony shake series, HDMI is available
Would you recommend the Sony Ht Rt3?
Yes, definitely a good system...😁🤠♥️
@@hardware_house Thank you

It depends... Are you a music lover or a movie lover?
