Gareth, Your mom was truly beautiful inside and out. She actively participated on Community Hall, the social media part of the Miss America website years ago, updating all of us on her journey. Suzanne's Climb for the Cure was fantastic in raising cancer awareness. She will always be fondly remembered as a fighter and warrior against cancer and one of the most well rounded state representatives ever at Miss America.
She was Miss Humble-Kingwood when I first met her at our church. She captured my daughter's heart then and later she became one of the inspirations as a Miss Texas sister. A truly wonderful woman.
Suzanne was one of the sweetest persons I know. We performed together with Perry Wood in 94 in Dallas, Texas. Suzanne was so independent with your responsibility as a beauty queen and we were all so impressed with her. RIP
RIP Suzanne Lawrence...I got to meet her when she was Miss Grapevine-Colleyville. She was so sweet and beautiful.
