Happy to see you react to Dhaka Brahka. They are Ukrainian. Their music incorporates folk, blues, jazz, rock and even hip hop. Hopefully you continue the journey
@Vladimir Sereda No problem. I'm dying to see channels like this react to less traditional or familiar things. One of my favorite artists is Joe Jackson. It often amazes me to catch reactions to his 'hits' when I find his most interesting songs aren't them. "On Your Radio" was a minor one, but it's the Ultimate Revenge song. "One More Time" is an ultimate break-up song. "Shanghai Sky" is utterly unique & "The Man in the Street" is possibly The Ultimate Rebel Rock & Roll song without sounding like any other R&R song. "Trying to Cry" would likely yield exactly that reaction no matter how much one prepares due to the title. & someone made a Great Video ruclips.net/video/PeJMuEKF3wc/видео.html for this other more folk-like Ultimate Protest song. Ode to Joy, The Invisible Man, the live version of "Sunday Papers he did in '84 contrasted with the album version, the groove set by the string quartet he used on "Just Because... a lot of music students would be served well by studying just this One Guy, same as with Dacha Bracha because even though I don't _what_ they're doing, I know that they have an excellent grasp of form.
Dakhabrakha are a truly remarkable group of Talented Individuals, who can make complex blends of tempo, harmony, and tone that will steal your face. The indication that the Drum provides a consistent and enticing sound...... As the Masculine tome of the Cello introduces another character to the scene they paint. They are a perfect blend of a great Rhythm section. The song is about three Young Girls who are stuck in the Garden on a warm afternoon, babysitting their Infant Brother. Two of the Girls speculate on the Guy passing on the road. ( that Cello Tone implies) They offer comments about his virility and how they could entice the Guy to look their way. Lena and Iryna lay down a rhythm that draws your attention and like someone rocking a Baby, lulls you into a comfy location that is just not prepared for the wail of Teen Hormone Anguish that Nina slices through the rocking of the rhythm with Her cries of lost love. The words upon interpretation, appear to have Russian as well as Ukraine influences. Marco provides a blend of Herb Khuary and Brian Wilson understanding of harmony and tempo as He plays the Baby Bro. But Olena appears to assume it is Her Band, just like Jack Parnell Band was a great blend of talent. She will smile when they provide a perfect performance. I have seen a lot of talent blend their voices and understanding of Musical Knowledge, this assembly of talented Humans is about as good as it gets. After 20 years of working together, the blend becomes a version of perfection.

Looove Dakha Brakha! I first saw them live at a music festival and had a similar reaction like- whaaa? Am I hearing? Their musicianship and chemistry and the way they bring so many different elements together and connect with the audience is just so amazing. Seen them live twice more and it's always a moving experience. Even though I don't understand a lot of the lyrics, I feel like they speak to everyone! Thanks for checking them out!
Kudos to you for reacting to DakhaBrakha! Everything they do is exquisite; they are truly amazing artists. Their music is like no other and they have the best hats.
Baby, show me your love... Baby, show me your love... Baby, show me your love...
Show me your love...
Baby, show me your love... Baby, show me your love... Baby, show me your love...
Baby, show me your love...
