Just recently came across Helen's pre and post warmups and they are really good! I feel great after doing the stretches and really appreciate that she goes through the whole routine with us rather than just telling us what exercises to do before moving onto talking about the next exercise. These have helped so much that I even do at least one of the routines on my off days when I'm not cycling.
No matter what workout I’m doing, I always go to this pre and post stretch video. Have been for the past year or so. Such a game changer. I kinda know the routine by heart, but still follow along so I’m not rushing through my stretches. Thanks so much Helen!
I've watched this video for the past few years before most bike rides and it's a game changer! I love watching it slowed down to .5 speed for a quick morning routine after waking to wake up my body, too :)
There are literally just 2 videos in my stretch playlist both for Helen pre and post cycling stretches... I don't know how many time have I watched these videos, there's never a better stretch videos I have found online... Everytime before/after biking I do not literally feel the stress in muscles and feel so so active. Thank you so very much for these videos!!
Do you warm up before you go out for a ride? Make sure you like this video so you can come back and watch each time you need to warm up, before you head out on the bike!
just started cycling about a week ago and kept forgetting to warm up. This will be my to-go warm up video. Hopefully I will have built a habit and I can update later! For now, Thank you!
Bro!!! I felt Stiff this morning, I’m 50 and never stretched before a ride, well…I did this exact routine and I got 8 PRs (personal records) on a local trail today. Coincidence???? I THINK NOT!!! Thanks for this video
I'm 49 and just back on the bike after many years. I will use this as my goto warm up. That last one will take a bit of practice. Lol.. thanks for the upload 😃
Funny thing is about a month ago I came across your post ride stretches and I’ve been using them for both my pre and post, they are very much effective and THANK YOU.
Thanks Diane! Glad you enjoyed! Make sure you subscribe - we have some awesome new videos from Helen coming up over the next number of weeks, one of which is live now :) ruclips.net/video/6dMCVHPhXPY/видео.html
I enjoyed these stretches. I added side to side stretches during cat and camel, a piriformis stretch and Childs pose stretch moving my hands to the left then the right to stretch my Quadratus muscles at the end. Thanks for this video.
Ultimate warm up? Might be! Dynamic stretching and short static as well as cardio, good stuff! For beginners? Might not be ideal! If you don't have the same mobility don't go as far. Get warm and don't overdo.
I just started cycling not too long ago and noticing some of the benefits of it. Doing about 10 miles a day. What are the disadvantages of not doing these stretches. I haven’t done them at all but I feel as I should now. Just curious as what purpose it serves?
Start slow, .. work your way into it..you CAN do it and It IS WORTH it to try. The benefits of increased flexibility, mobility etc. pay huge dividends as we age.. Esp. with the risks of health issues from falling as we get old.. freekin' age doesn't kill ya after 70,... it's the random some times serious injuries from stupid falls that can tho.... Try taking a hot shower or soak before you start stretching beyond your regular range of motion, to make things move a bit easier, the rest is just working at it a little bit every other day, if not daily. You will see improvements and benefits if you stay consistent and push your self a little bit each time. You got this. ;-)
I have used this video hundreds of times now so I feel I must give thanks. It has helped me enormously with back pain. Thank you SO much.
feeling this. I use this before every ride, and the corresponding warm down video after a long one - it's amazing
This is fabulous. Thank you to Helen and Chain Reaction Cycles.

This is the perfect mix of movements to start my day of skateboarding, a bike ride or even before I go to work! Thanks!

Hi, its a warm up which activates the muscle groups you are going to use on your bike so hopefully afterwards, your body feels more ready to ride!
Looking good Helen
I’m not flexible enough for the last sequence at the mo think I need to find a warm up that’s calls for less flexibility.
Oh to be young and bendy again. I'd do myself a mischief if I did some of these stretches.

Fit
But you didn't warm up for warming up!?!?
We were born ready for this video 🤣 When will you let us know how you got on with this video Ivan? We hope you enjoy it and find it very useful!
@@chainreactioncycles I like back pain better :D
This is stretching, not warm up.
Dynamic stretching is part of a complete warm up but this video does provide more than just stretching!
i wish this video had no voice
You can watch without the sound 😂
Doing some yoga should be the title..
Good video
Thanks! 🔥
