May I suggest - remove the pilot's earphones. Glider pilots don't fly with earphones. We listen to the wind over our canopy as a means of attitude correction. Even with the FES turned on we still don't wear earphones. NOW the rest is simply amazing. Well done.
That's exactly what I said!!! I was like... "Damn, he might actually make it as a review channel as well as an epic trailer channel!" LOL this review was actually 🔥 📛 👩🚒
Nice video. If you want climb you have to fly near the ridge, not in the middle of the valley like all GA pilots do. Speedbrakes must be used in final, set 50% and then you adjust, more or less, according to the ideal landing path.
Slipping is kind of pointless in a discus and most modern gliders. A) the spoilers provide more effective drag in coordinated flight. The boards are bigger than the fuselage. B) The discus won't do this, in the sim or in real life, but in some older ships like the Janus you can slip and induce alot of turbulence over the tail and it will act like a tail stall If you want to get down faster, just accelerate with the boards all the way out. The spoilers are so large and effective that you will dump energy quickly and only be left with an extra 20kts or so thats hard to scrub, which is fine as long as you decelerate above ground effect.
The external 3D model looks worryingly bad for a payware. Like a high poly general model stuffed into MFS engine. I hope this doesn't become a trend... devs buying assets from turbosquid or whatever and just code on top of them. Look from 2:20 to 2:35. If you can't see What I mean disregard the battery lid and look at the trailing edge on the wing root. If you don't see it... you be happy :) .
@@JonxSimulations Meaning is build in house or by your self? If so... Are those artefacts planned to be corrected? My comment is just based on the impression devs are just throwing everything inside MFS engine and stand amazed how it shines but at some point with so much stuff it will blow up. I wish models would be cleaner so they stand the test of time better. Also they look more professional when you can do a walk around and can't spot round shapes made of 7 sides cylinders and areas with a ton of subdivisions and carelessly messed up normals. I wish everyone would develop for MFS like they would for DCS. :) my 2c ofc...
Don't worry mate, we've all been too high on finals before haha

Enjoyed your preview. Well done mate!
Great job! Really looking forward to this one!

What about the flarm ? How to turn on
looks amazing :)
ah yes "MeGeV" it sounds like "mejeve"
Does this thing actually stay in the air? I thought Microsoft Flight Simulator doesn't support gliders!? 🤔
Not officially no, that doesn’t stop others coding solutions for thermals. Helicopters ain’t officially supported either but they are available too.
@@WhiteHawk77 hmmm, yes, that's very good to know!
@@JonxSimulations you can do slope soaring on good hills and mountains easily, and there are some thermal add ons
@@chipwillis I don't think thermals are working in the game.
@@JonxSimulations look up kinetic assist! They work with this add on
Show in the next video how to adjust the brightness of all analog instruments and dashboards at night.
You can adjust brightness of all of that using the Top Left Knob on the LX Bezel. Shown at 5:19

This is custom modeled, not bought.
