A piece of our childhood died this afternoon. RIP Bob
DAVID LETTERMAN IS DEAD??!!
Rip Robert William Barker, you will be missed
@@ThatOpalGuyLOLOLOL
Bob Barker, a part of so many of our childhoods. 😢😢😢
Why do you have to make everything about you?
A joke heard elsewhere that Bob Barker would have appreciated, "Bob Barker closest to 100 without going over."
BETTY WHITE missed 100 too! I sure thought he'd outdo her, but at 99 came up almost exactly short as well. He had careful veggie diet, exercise fanatic, Bette White ate whatever, not so much exercise. : (
Yeah I only heard that joke 1,265 times yesterday, but who's counting?
@@David_USF It's kind of inevitable and obligatory.
Betty White was actually a couple of months closer, but I wouldn’t interfere with a good joke.
@@lindaf4836do you have the copy of people where it said she made it to 100?
99 well lived years. Rest well Bob. Thanks for the hour of smiles on every sick day in my childhood. 💙
BB Forever ♾️🕊️🐐
I don't know about well-lived. We can agree he lived 99 years, and perhaps that he enjoyed himself for most or all of them. But when you make other people's lives miserable through your harassment, I don't think people should say you lived your entire life well.
@@DoratheMysterySnail-dw8iiyep, somehow he gets a pass.
To me there's that and he was rude to contestants at times.
@@DoratheMysterySnail-dw8ii funny that he treated animals well but sexually harassed women.
@@DoratheMysterySnail-dw8ii no I got it was sarcasm. People give him a pass because it was "Be Kind to Animals Week" every day.
Too bad he didn't have the same compassion for his female co-workers.
That was my point. 😊
I've loved Bob Barker my whole life. Childhood sick days on the couch watching him on TPIR and drinking ginger ale. His love and dedication to animals was amazing. RIP Kind Sir.....
Never underestimate the healing power of TPIR and ginger ale.
I go back even further - Truth or Consequences, back in the '60s and '70s.
I love how Paul Schaefer and the band played TPIR theme during his entrance here!
Childhood sicks days:1949in St Paul)=ginger ale...a treat w/ 11 in 🏠
First Betty White, now Bob Barker; the animals have lost two amazing advocates! 😭
I remember watching Bob Barker when I was a little kid...and I'm 70 years old❗️ He had a great life.
And a great smile! 💵
Lol 😂
Bob was worth $70 million... Not too shabby.
R.I.P. to a game show legend who also knew his way around comedy.
He lived as close to 100 years as possible without going over.
Rest in peace, Bob.
He did? Seems to me that to do that, he would have to have died December 11th, not August 26th...
HAHAHA! If you wrote that, you need to be a writer for whatever late night show. THAT is something worthy of a gravestone! Brilliant!
I have a feeling Bob would love that line!!!
@@manofthehour6856they literally copied that idea from someone elses comment.
Incorrect. That would be 100, not 99.
RIP to an absolute legend. 99 years old is a good ride. Thanks Bob....
Still a short life, human's don't live long
Watching TPIR 40 years ago was part of my childhood, it was automatic and what people almost took for granted. R.I.P. to Bob Barker.. there won't ever be another game show host like him. Legend.
Hearing Bob say “slip daddy some cash” was the best! 😂
R.I.P. Bob - this is one guy who always had a great sense of humor about himself. Only 3.5 months shy of 100 😢
99.75 years of a life lived extremely well. We should ALL be so lucky to have such a life and come up 3.5 months shy. ☺️
THANKS Bob for sharing yourself with the rest of us! You’ll live on in our memories.
He'd probably appreciate the fact that Bob "Barker" died on National Dog Day.
I still think about him when I think about Happy Gilmore. That scene was one of the funniest ever.
@@shawnuel Or Bob got close to 100 with out going over!!!
H e and Betty White
“Slip daddy some cash …” 😂🤣😂
Thank you Bob for making my sick days go by faster. Rest in Peace.
One of the all-time greats. RIP
He's the GOAT of game show hosts in my book. Rest In Peace Mr Barker. you will be missed.
Nope Monty Hall was
@@m42037 Yes well your GOAT is Monty, mine is Bob Barker. Thanks anyway.
@@scottym3 No my GOAT is the same as 99% of the world, Jordan. And no Monty was better , LMAD in the 70s was a lot better and exciting
he outlived millions of others, like Betty White also at 99, it Was his time.
Absolute greatness. RIP Bob
Happy Gilmore always brought out the red in Bobby Barker.
*“The price is wrong, betch”*
Haha, Adam Sandler got his a$$ kicked by a 70 year old vegetarian! 🤣
Thanks for posting. These clips with Dave are classic and such great writing! Bob appeared to be a quality guy, willing to play along, read what was written, and not ham it up. A life well-lived. RIP Mr. Barker.
I used to watch Bob Barker every morning in the 70s while my grandmother was babysitting us. Bob has been around a very long time. What a great life he had. Thanks foe the memories. R.I.P.
He said he would live to be 100…
That was a pretty good bid. RIP Bob
108 days short, so close.
Better to stop at 99 than to risk going over.
4:17 in a cruel twist of irony, even though neither one of us are with us now, Regis still ended up going before Bob. In any case, they were both amazing, and rest in peace to them both.
Regis was still alive and well in 2007! In fact, Philbin set a Guinness World Record for "Most Hours on Camera" on his August 20, 2004, Live show (surpassing Hugh Downs), which gave him a total of 15,188 hours on television.
@@KT72273 Yes, he was still alive in 2007. But he passed before Bob Barker did.
And Regis passed Hugh Downs for that record and it's ironic they both died in 2020.
RIP, Mr. Barker. TV and American icon.
Bob was an American Indian. Registered member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. Hoka Hey Bob. It is a good day to die. We will miss you !! ❤
R.I.P. to the true star of Happy Gilmore 😢
The absolute best scene in that movie is watching Bob Barker beat up Adam Sandler 😂
@@rays7437 I think you've had enough!
"When Happy Gilmore tells me the Price is Wrong". You were a legend Bob. rip
Thank you for the memories Bob. You did a great job. RIP
There goes another TV legend
Yes luv.
And another sexual predator, allegedly
@@ThatOpalGuy😲😲 seriously when can u explain
@@ThatOpalGuyhe definitely terminated a few specific models for other unlawful causes.
In 1994, his inappropriate sexual involvement with one of his subordinates came to light when she sued for harassment. While she did eventually drop the suit due to the hefty legal expense of moving forward, that didn't undo the damage of the parts he _did_ acknowledge, nor the implications of her further allegations that he denied. Further, another model stated that while he supposedly fired her for gaining weight when she took a prescription medication - a bad enough look for him - in actuality he had fired her for not backing him up with regard to the allegations by the other model. He started out suing the second model for libel and slander, but after he dropped the suit, the court found him liable for her legal expenses. She also came out ahead in her countersuit against him for discrimination, wrongful termination and malicious prosecution; she should have gotten more in the settlement, but he wanted to hold her to a hush clause that would prevent her from speaking up about him in future.
He may have been a good guy in other ways. It's also possible that when his wife died, his sexual morals may have declined or his desperation for other women may have increased. Either way, I consider him someone who was fun to watch on TV but probably hell for some women to be around behind the scenes.
RIP Robert William Barker
to be fair, who could have known Bob would outlive Regis?
And Donahue
Phil is still alive as of August 26, 2023.
Jerry Springer
Rest in Peace 🙏
“Help control the animal population, have your pet spayed or neutered.” RIP, Bob.
As a kid I thought he said sprayed, so I'd grab the hose and soak our cat
One of the good deeds that isn't undone by knowledge of his bad ones. 🐈🐶
Today it would be, "Help control the nut job population. Have all MAGA hat wearers spayed or neutered."
When he died instead of rip. I posted a quote.
Bob spent more than 12,000 hours on public television. That means in order to binge watch Bob Barker, you'd have to spend 500 continuous days in front of the TV, or 1.4 years.
50 years ago, when Bob Barker had Truth or Consequences, he always asked the contestant a question first. When the contestant couldn't answer the question after a few seconds, a buzzer went off, then they would have to pay the consequences. One time Bob asked the contestant, "What do you have when you pick up the phone, and hear people laughing, loud music playing, and dancing going on?" The man answered, "A party line." Bob shocked yelled,
"THAT"S RIGHT! In all the years of doing Truth or Consequences, no one has EVER answered the question correctly." Bob went on to say, "But, that was the first part of a two part question." Everyone laughed. So he asked another question, and the buzzer went off immediately so the guy did not have the time to answer the second question. It was the funniest thing I ever saw. (For those who don't know, a party line was a land line telephone that was used by several households. If you picked up the phone and heard someone talking, you couldn't make your call until they were done. It was a very inexpensive way to have a phone that wasn't used too much 50 years ago.
"Slip Daddy some cash and the Showcase Showdown wheel lands wherever you want." LOL.
I hadn't heard the news, but when I saw this video post I had a feeling and checked.
no long skinny mic? who overlooked that gem?
Old enough to remember him before PIR, watched him host Truth or Consequences as a kid. Thanks for lots of good memories :)
Rest in peace Bob you are and always will be the GOAT when it comes to game show hosts
RIP, Bob. It's so strange to see him holding a "regular" microphone and not the long handled one he always used.
Childhood memories- a legendary game show host, greatness
I grew up on the Price is Right and am a lifelong fan of Bob Barker. His resignation from the Ms. Universe pageant to protest the continued use of fur coats as prizes raised the consciousness of animal rights to great heights. RIP, Bob Barker. Heaven is calling, “ Bob Barker COME ON DOWN!”
Um, wouldn't Heaven call Bob saying "Bob Barker COME ON UP!' ?
Great to see these Bob Barker clips and remember what he had to give us, thanks Dave and crew!
RIP Bob. Thanks for the memories.
Kept me company when I was home sick from school.
My god, there goes my childhood again,it's slipping away BOB BARKER the great original host of the PRICE IS RIGHT.has left us.R.I.PBob.
Bob Barker was my favorite host for The Price is Right and not one day goes where I don't miss watching that guy daily. His love for animals was awesome! We will never forget you Bob!
Thanks for all the memories!
Seeing this makes me see that Bob Barker had a sense of humor I was never aware of. This got me laughing and smiling. I've been hearing about Bob Barker for years and I did give his game show a gander and it looked fun. My mom at one time wanted to actually be on the game show and be like getting a new car but my mom did say that it was just a thought. I've talked to a lot of people about Bob Barker and The Price Is Right and nearly everyone I talked to are familiar with him. A lot of love and dedication to animals was probably the best-known thing about him. He lived to be 99 years old and was months away of becoming 100. He at least got to grow old as I heard he passed on from natural causes. I may not have been with him in his final days but after living for so long, a lot to look back on from his life, done a lot with his life. But even as he lived a life well lived. I know that during his life when he was living the best and now that he's up there with God. I know that his spirit and his soul is flying and his heart is open.
My grandmother had the biggest crush on him. I watched his show with her since I was 5. Absolutely love him. RIP Bob ❤🙏
Thanks 4 uploading this today, RIP Bob
A celebrity who used his platform not for self-promotion but to try to reduce the suffering of unwanted and stray pets… seems like a genuine person who doesn’t take himself too seriously and had a great sense of humor. Rest in peace.
Wow the second one was so much funnier and better lmao
Sick days
Summer days
Holidays
These were the ways
Of my Bob Barker days
RIP Bob. He used to baby sit me when I was home from school.
I'm sad that he's gone but moreso grateful that we had him for almost an entire century. Now he's happily reunited with his wife.
RIP Bob Barker. Between this and Happy Gilmore, Bob had a good sense of humor.
Great morning memories for all of us. Its the morning game show everyone watched and played. Thank you Bob.
The first list was good, but the second list was laugh out loud, fall on the floor funny. Respect to Bob Barker for being such a good sport! He'll be missed.
You never see Bob without a smile.
Wow, I remember watching this in ‘94. RIP Bob Barker, I spent many summer mornings watching The Price is Right. The guy certainly had stage presence, for sure.
my halloween costume 2006 was Bob Barker. just to have a totally random costume. worked on the costume for a couple of days - getting a white wig and making one of his microphones. halloween 2006 was the day he announced his retirement and suddenly my costume was no longer so random.
R.I.P. Bob
Rest in Peace Bob Barker, you have lived for 99 years, may God bless your soul and your commitment of game show excellence as host on The Price is Right!!
Rest in peace to the greatest game show host that ever lived. Bob Barker and the Price is Right are and always will be legends
He missed the $1.00 by one cent.
Bob barker knew the price of the prize and I love it when he stalls to show the price
RIP Mr. Barker 🙏❤
R.I.P Bob Barker. You were such a big part of my childhood and will surely be missed. 😔
Johnny Olson in heaven is saying, "C'mon up!" RIP Mr. Barker.
The retirement ones were way funnier, in my humble opinion. "Slip Daddy some cash." 🤣
Every day in the summer at 10 AM... Legend.
R.I.P + Never Forget + Great Personalities
Bob Barker had some seriously good comedic timing
RIP Mr Barker!
He got a standing ovation from me when he cam out and after the number one thing. RIP.
I remember watching him when getting ready for Jr High School, I'm 60 now, RIP Mr. Barker.
Awesome post and what a way to celebrate one of TVs best game show hosts...and Letterman. The Price Was Right Bob RIP!

RIP to a GOAT! I dedicate every day that I was sick and home from school...or skipped school period...to Bob Barker! :)
#4 was hilarious. God, we miss you, Bob. I became an accountant as a result of watching your show as a kid.
Sad how much of these have actually happened now... like the one about Regis being dead when he was alive at the time (RIP) and the one at the end about Letterman retiring.
RIP
RIP Bob Barker! Now how did you manage to get that close to 100 without going over?😀
During my childhood whether it's b4 I started school or not being in school whether it's being sick holiday breaks or summer vacations n later years not going 2 work I've enjoyed watching THE PRICE IS RIGHT WITH BOB BARKER. It was a dream 2 b on there n even though it didn't come true I still enjoyed watching him on TV. R.I.P Mr Bob Barker & God bless u
I didn't see this, when it, originally, aired; glad, I got to view it. R.I.P., Mr. Barker.
R.I.P. Bob Barker a true legend and great man u are missed and loved forever rest easy brother peace 😎👊🤘🤟🤘🤟❤❤❤
Sweet man. I had the privilege of photographing him at his home back in the 80's. Super gracious.
Have your pets spayed or neutered in his memory.
Bob finally got to go on down
It’s fun to know I wasn’t the only one with fond memories of staying home sick and watching The Price is Right! I feel like it gave me a realistic sense of product pricing and the need to spay and neuter pets.
RIP Bob Barker you were a class act!
Actually no, he wasn't. Look into his scandals involving Barker's Beauties.
On screen, maybe.
I remember the TPIR episode that Bob Barker voiced over at the beginning "I have decided to let my hair go gray". It was such a fitting way to ease the shock that all of us surely felt that day.
RIP Bob! Watching on sick days and before going to bowling league as a kid - great memories of that show.
We miss you! Bob Barker and the world won't be the same without you!
Just the ridiculous premise of this list makes us smile. Thanks Bob for the smiles.
RIP Bob Barker 💜
Mr. Barker came as close to reaching 100 with out going over... RIP Sir! come on UP!
