- Today I dive into my 2010 HHR SS to see if I can activate the secret boost gauge that has wiring hidden behind the pillar...
This isn't totally a secret, as I hear this will work, but you never know. If your HHR SS does not have the Autometer boost gauge, let's see how easy it is to add.... - Авто/Мото
I am so happy you posted this, I just purchased today a 2010 HHR SS in maroon with the RPD. Mine is an automatic as well, going to make a great daily, I’m tired of shifting
That’s Awesome! Congratulations! I love mine and daily it as well. Enjoy!
So can I add gauges like oil pressure and voltage and or does a air intake have gauge for it I have a bone stock 08hhr but I want it to look cool is there any for that to happen or will I have to update to an ss I do want one because where I live I believe I'm 100% sure theres no one around here with any year of the Chevy HHR ss's
So the factory boost gauge plugs in. You could always do an interceptor gauge which covers lots of parameters through the obd port.
Any gauge is possible, just depends how far you want to go.
Hey great vid!
I have a 2010 SS automatic with no Pillar boost gauge.
I want to instal one like you did but I can’t find any.
Any ideas where o can get one ? I just need the pillar not the actual gauge
I found my on an HHR Facebook group. I’ve seen them pop up from time to time.
@@RubberCityMotoringthanks , still no luck lol. Hard piece to find.
Any other suggestions?
Dose anyone have a link to buy the pillar with the gauge, I have been looking but can’t find one

@@chicano562 do you still have Phillip post engage
My question is can the 2010 display be installed on a 2009?
From my reading, you can add it. Not sure if it’s a direct plug-in or something needs to be ‘activated’ in the pcm. Only other negative would be the cost - they’re not cheap on the used market.
As far as I know, the wiring is there from 2009 on... It's not there in the 08 SS.
I got one for sale👍
Gm part # for the 2008 pillar like rubbermotor guy put on his 10 is 25811764 . While gm lists the part # for 09 & 10 as 25799244 and it's 50 $ more. But I think if it worked for him I might order the 08 to put on my 09 and save 50 bucks. I hope if there is a reason not to someone would chime in. ( Maybe an update from city of motors made of rubber guy ? )
I just got a random used one. Not sure of the year it was off of.
