Enjoy your vlogs very much. None more than this one. I rode the original Nemesis in 1994. Before that, I have fond memories of Alton Towers & my many visits throughout the 1980s & 90s. Particularly remember riding Thunder Looper with my late brother. Our favourite ride back then. Just turned 66 & have heart problems now, so my days on rides are sadly over. Living & riding vicariously through yourself & Charlotte now. Thanks for your enthusiasm & the love and care you put into your wonderful vlogs.😊
I've never ridden nemesis as I live in California but this level of theming is a whole new field for Alton Towers. It's very impressive. Hopefully we see many MANY projects like this in the future because this park needs it desperately
Was a pleasure to have waited with you both before the park opened yesterday morning. The atmosphere was incredible! It wasn’t great how to fastrack and main queue merged at once, probably wasn’t the fairest of decisions but I’m glad you both still had a good day! Hopefully will see you soon! - Michael

It was a once in a lifetime experience! I was on the first train on row 7 and honestly the day was like a dream me and my friends started the nemesis chant and meeting u made it 10 times better! Thank you so much we love you all!
Hi guys! Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to speak to me and take a photo! I absolutely loved what they did with Nemesis and had a great time with the all the atmosphere. However, we tried to get on 4 rides yesterday (Nemesis twice, Curse and Wicker Man) and all 4 times the ride broke down while we were queueing, not a great look for the park. I was near the front of the queue when Nemesis went down in the evening and we were told to leave. Absolutely gutted to see that it reopened! Hopefully I can get a night ride later in the year.
Sadly that's what spoils parks. In 2024 shouldn't be happening. You pay hundreds or parents do for the tickets and you should be able to get 10 rides easily
Unreal. I used to visit Alton Towers a lot back in the 90s, when Gloomy Wood opened and Nemesis. The Log Flume and Corkscrew were still there and stuff like the Magic Carpet. Later it was things like the River Rapids, Mine train etc. And there were never any breakdowns of any sort. All rides open all day. All safe. And there had never been an accident. The place was spotless, well maintained and well looked after. It was not cheap for a ticket, but you could get a 2 day pass for about £20 as I recall. And more or less get on everything at least once in those two days. Just. One year I went for a week! Got two pairs of two day passes and stayed in a local B n B in the village and spent four days with the girlfriend charging round the park going on everything over and over again. By the time we left we had got the coaster bug out of our systems! The only time anything stopped was the cable car to let older or disabled people on or off at the stations. When you are paying whatever the price is now for the premium Theme Park in Europe, the place should be maximum up time, all the time and safe. Proper training for staff etc. Part of the problem now is there are too many people in the Uk. Back when I used to go the population was not 70million plus. It would have been 50 million or less. And we used to go outside of holidays, so we would miss Easter and go a few weeks later, round May or June. Place would be a lot less crowded. Then the other time of year was a few weeks after the School holidays at the end of September when the weather was till mild.

The operator was advising people to try other attractions over the PA system, however this was optional and anyone was allowed to wait. Sadly the staff in the queue didn’t realise this which caused a huge amount of confusion and leaving many people without a night ride.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide I agree, a real shame about the miscommunication towards the end. In this instance, I suspect that the staff who were clearing the queue didn't want to have to be there longer than necessary and so were purposely trying to clear the queue? About a year go, we were queuing for Smiler at the end of the day, and it broke down, and they told us that it wouldn't be operating again that evening, but they reopened Oblivion so that people who had been queuing could get a last ride if they wanted. Which I thought was very good of them!
Hearing the excitement in Shawn's voice is so awesome! You can tell he is particularly excited about this one hes like a kid again riding Nemesis for the first time! So pure

I feel like Old Alton Towers is back with this level of standards and feeling around the park. I know it is too soon yet to tell however from just Nemesis reborn alone I feel like it is going to be a good year.
This whole ride looks amazing! Alton Towers have done such a amazing job, Merlin should be very proud of this ride. I really hope they build a park in Australia, because if this is the quality of theming and ride that we could see here... They could be the top park here.
We were so disappointed at having to leave the queue after waiting for over an hour for a night ride. Unfortunately we missed out along with the other 500 odd people. Well done for covering it in the VLOG.
I feel a sense of relief after watching this. Alton Towers seems back on track after a few lackluster years. And people were clearly very happy to be there and were willing to wait more than 4(!) hours for a ride. Nemesis and the whole area just look amazing. Way above expectations.
Looked awesome, sadly i couldnt make it due to me living over in the philippines, but it was great to see it through your eyes, looked fab, and i got goosbumps!

AHH! The vlog I've been waiting for. So excited to see you guys back in this incredible park. Nemesis is still one of my top coasters even after last riding it over 20 years ago.
There’s just no other ride like this, and for its unique layout and original theme it’s firmly my number one rollercoaster. Best coaster experience in the world. Loved the energy on opening day.
This was fantastic and great to see Alton Towers regaining it's old spirit once again! I've always loved visiting Alton Towers since it became a real Theme Park in 1980. On a school trip to have the same excitement for the then new ride - the Corkscrew! Great memories, and the first Nemesis ofcourse. Superb coaster. So with a mate I'll be re-visting this year to give the new version of Nemesis a go. I really can't believe it's been that many years since we all queued-up for this fantastic inverted coaster! Much older now, but still riding when I get time, but there's always Theme Park Worldwide vlogging if I can't be there in person. Cheers guys.
I was 9 when Nemesis opened, I remember my mom taking me on Opening day & waiting 3 hours. This was my first thrill coaster so holds a special place in my heart will always hold a place as one of my favourite coasters. Cannot wait until my daughter who is 5 is tall enough to ride. She already has a coaster count of around 25 & is fearless when it comes to rides now, can handle some flats better than me 😂. Love your content, cannot wait for some future vlogs especially Japan, cannot wait to see Charlotte's reaction to some of the crazy rides at Fuji Q. Keep up the great work.
This Ride looks Amazing!!! Even better than before The Theming looks Incredible. This is my favourite ride out of all of them at Alton Towers. To tell you the truth watching this I wish I was there the atmosphere in the ride and Station was Spectacular and cannot wait to go there myself with a bunch of mates and ride it again Hi Shaun and Charlotte great to see you again on RUclips after all these months I wish one time when I'm at Alton Towers I get to meet you in person like some other have when they've gone fingers crossed that may happen but neverthless great to see you back doing what you do best showing and filming different places and giving advice. Appreciate just how much you captured the atmosphere of the opening, I think I can understand why people brave such huge crowds and queues for a ride opening now, it’s like a convention for coaster enthusiasts
Ive noticed a lot of the new B&Ms seem to have a rattle (mandrill mayhem does apparently the wing coaster at legoland billund also has)And now Nemesis does aswell.
Great to see Nemesis is back. I was fortunate to ride original Nemesis when it first opened in ‘94. Must have rode it a hundred times over the years. One of my all time favourite coaster
Yesturday was a phenomenal day overall. The ride was amazing and the themeing was fantastic. I left my house just before 4am and I got there at 7am and when they lifted up the barrier infront of one section of turnstiles (NOT opening the turnstiles) everyone charged through the bag search and straight to the turnstiles which was hectic and a few people started having panic attacks so Alton towers didn’t want the normal guest to get there any earlier then hotel guests. But everyone at the normal gate just charged forward! Then the rest was amazing until it got to the night when we were on the other side of the fence to you guys and then got evaded out and forced out. Not great missing our night ride BUT the one ride we did get was front row!!! Great vlog as always from you guys keep up the amazing work!

Theme Park Worldwide, I want to give a big massive thank you for what you have done on this channel way Nemesis has been shut it's been in my opinion the best coverage on RUclips. From it being closed and rebuilt to Nemesis Reborn what a absolutely fantastic time you have given your fans.
In all seriousness, I absolutely adore the screen/eye and the moving teeth, some of the best bits of theme park special fix/steaming I’ve seen!😁 For me, that is the highest compliment, I can possibly give🙂 I just hope Bianca can convince the money man to keep up the maintenance of stuff like this!🤞🙏
Hope they look after all the effects. Does feel like by the end of the season the smoke won't be working and the eye will just be a black screen 😂 hopefully AT have turned a corner and will look after their investments going forward
I have lost count how many times I've riden nemesis. First time being not long after it opened. It will always be my fav ride. I just love the roar, can't wait to visit later this year
I was there yesterday Monday as I could,nt make it on Saturday.Still the best coaster ever.Still as powerful and Phenomenal.Only a five mins wait,I rode it 20 times.Staff told me the most intence place to sit is second from the back.Yes I noticed the rattle aswell,worst on the final banked turn into the brakes.
I agree with others sentiments that Shawn and Charlotte are such decent people, who are genuine and down to earth. Was lucky enough to be a part of the event at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park a few years ago. Also can't believe that Sean from Lift Hills and Thrills was behind you in the queue 😂

Fantastic vlog Shaun & Charlotte, we were gutted that we never saw you as we really wanted to say hello and thank you for all the fab updates, but hopefully we’ll see you on park one day in the future. We had an unbelievably great day, loved the atmosphere and was just overjoyed by the outpouring of love that so many people still have for this incredible rollercoaster. I wish I could still ride coasters, I’d love to be able to experience nemesis again. 6 year old me would ride it over and over again, I loved every second of it back in the day! It looks incredible, it’s amazing to see Alton Towers putting effort into the park with the new management. I truly hope they bring back the magic that it used to have - it’s desperately needed!
I personally prefer shorter vlogs (20-40 minutes), however I really enjoyed this one. I was really shocked and suprised by this insanely long wait Nemesis Reborn had yesterday. I was not here because I live in Austria, but I would love to go to the UK Theme Parks in the future. You captured the atmosphere really well and it was a very enjoyable video😊😊

It's honestly so impressive how much effort and work they have put into Nemesis. I knew already that they were planning to do something big but this has really blown my expectations. And honestly it is incredible to see the amount of subtle detail they have added and all the extra bits of theming. I cannot wait to get my ride on it! I'm so excited for my September trip.

I love this ride.my dad did original construction on the original ride. I don't understand why everyone is going nuts. Its the same ride. My friends father has operated it since it opened too

IMO the park should’ve used the old gray track for the theming around the the ride, I think it’d have made more sense in that it’d look as though the creature molted and shed its old “skin” so to speak but it looks amazing & TYSM for sharing your experience and, although I’m a lifelong enthusiast, I really appreciate the backstory because I was unaware of it as I’ve never been to this park as of yet.
Back row is for RAP users apparently. All times they attempted to put us on the back but my partner needed the bigger seat on row 4. We ended up back at towers yesterday with my daughter. She loved Nemesis. It was great to see you both again opening day x

it's been ages since i was in the splash landings hotel and seeing you two walk down the path to the galactica entrance reminded me of it when i was so young.
It's actually fascinating to see the hype for this. Shows that parks don't always need the newest / fastest / tallest to get people hyped and to have a great time. I'd love it... JUST LOVE IT if they did a Corkscrew reborn. Wouldn't have to be exactly the same layout but designers could have a lot of fun with that - mixing nostalgic elements with modern technology and fresh ideas.
I was wondering, after all the years of you doing this channel and visiting theme parks around the world for special events, how high is this in the pecking order. What a great day and video you made of this. This must be something very special for you both and all your fans to remember.

What an emotional watch already 11:33 remember that queue line route from opening year, I was 10 and on tip toes tall enough to ride. Took my dad and brother on, great times! Bringing my 13 year old this year and we are both so excited for this! Glad you had a great day!

It’s Fantastic what they have done Nemesis Reborn Station looks amazing waiting a whole year has been worth it.The Queue was massive shows people have missed it.
We were walking through the car park at 0900 and heard the countdown! The queue at the main gate even then was really long so by the time we got to the back of the Nemesis queue it was 0945 and we started at Pizza & Pasta! Soooo long. We're still there smiling in your video around the 30 minute mark though haha. Later on in the evening we got some luck back though by deciding to jump on Smiler when it was at 55mins, but there was NO ONE in the ride queue until you got inside so we were on in about 8 mins!! No idea why, we couldn't believe our luck haha. People queuing in the fast track we looking at us and weren't happy 😄
Alton Towers have just exceeded every expectation I had for this! I'm getting thousands of photos around that brand new eye for sure. I think it makes sense if the blood rivers don't come back tbh, since Nemesis isn't bleeding anymore. Not certain if that was the Original idea behind that but hopefully the bloodless waterfalls at least start flowing again. Other than that and a few unfinished things, this looks incredible and I'm looking forward for an april visit!

Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones who were told to leave at the end. Wow Shawn and Charlotte what a vlog. Nemesis reborn looks fantastic. That atmosphere got to go down in as the best in history for the park.I unfortunately could not get there as it was fully booked was looking forward to seeing you both there. I remember when it opened in 94 the atmosphere was no where near what it was Saturday. What a moment . In my opinion the best ride at Alton towers in it's history. Great vlog Shawn and Charlotte, brilliant coverage and Nemesis looked awesome. The queue was sooooo long though - you passed my son Paul and his friend Rob 29:19 (sitting down). They were staying at the Park overnight and spoke with you both later on. They really enjoyed the ride and went back later when it got dark. They stayed in the queue when the ride had difficulties and everyone was being asked to leave so were very lucky to experience another ride on it and see it lit up at night, think they bagged front row seats too. The Nemesis Reborn model was fab and the merch looked good. Some things quite pricey but pleased they are doing more embroided motifs, the peaked cap was cool x

I feel like Old Alton Towers is back with this level of standards and feeling around the park. I know it is too soon yet to tell however from just Nemesis reborn alone I feel like it is going to be a good year.
It has really brought some magic back. Lovely to see. Well done to Merlin for investing in this ride for the future.

This whole ride looks amazing! Alton Towers have done such a amazing job, Merlin should be very proud of this ride. I really hope they build a park in Australia, because if this is the quality of theming and ride that we could see here... They could be the top park here.

We were so disappointed at having to leave the queue after waiting for over an hour for a night ride. Unfortunately we missed out along with the other 500 odd people. Well done for covering it in the VLOG.

Loved ,loved ,loved this vlog ,seeing how excited you both were to get on nemesis reborn ,that atmosphere must have been electric .
I feel a sense of relief after watching this. Alton Towers seems back on track after a few lackluster years. And people were clearly very happy to be there and were willing to wait more than 4(!) hours for a ride. Nemesis and the whole area just look amazing. Way above expectations.
Looked awesome, sadly i couldnt make it due to me living over in the philippines, but it was great to see it through your eyes, looked fab, and i got goosbumps!

There’s just no other ride like this, and for its unique layout and original theme it’s firmly my number one rollercoaster. Best coaster experience in the world. Loved the energy on opening day.
This was fantastic and great to see Alton Towers regaining it's old spirit once again! I've always loved visiting Alton Towers since it became a real Theme Park in 1980. On a school trip to have the same excitement for the then new ride - the Corkscrew! Great memories, and the first Nemesis ofcourse. Superb coaster. So with a mate I'll be re-visting this year to give the new version of Nemesis a go. I really can't believe it's been that many years since we all queued-up for this fantastic inverted coaster! Much older now, but still riding when I get time, but there's always Theme Park Worldwide vlogging if I can't be there in person. Cheers guys.
I was 9 when Nemesis opened, I remember my mom taking me on Opening day & waiting 3 hours. This was my first thrill coaster so holds a special place in my heart will always hold a place as one of my favourite coasters. Cannot wait until my daughter who is 5 is tall enough to ride. She already has a coaster count of around 25 & is fearless when it comes to rides now, can handle some flats better than me 😂. Love your content, cannot wait for some future vlogs especially Japan, cannot wait to see Charlotte's reaction to some of the crazy rides at Fuji Q. Keep up the great work.

This Ride looks Amazing!!! Even better than before The Theming looks Incredible. This is my favourite ride out of all of them at Alton Towers. To tell you the truth watching this I wish I was there the atmosphere in the ride and Station was Spectacular and cannot wait to go there myself with a bunch of mates and ride it again Hi Shaun and Charlotte great to see you again on RUclips after all these months I wish one time when I'm at Alton Towers I get to meet you in person like some other have when they've gone fingers crossed that may happen but neverthless great to see you back doing what you do best showing and filming different places and giving advice. Appreciate just how much you captured the atmosphere of the opening, I think I can understand why people brave such huge crowds and queues for a ride opening now, it’s like a convention for coaster enthusiasts

Ive noticed a lot of the new B&Ms seem to have a rattle (mandrill mayhem does apparently the wing coaster at legoland billund also has)And now Nemesis does aswell.
The new B&M surf coaster in Sea World Orlando has a rattle too.
Sadly so. Not 100% sure what is causing it, possibly the wheels!
Great to see Nemesis is back. I was fortunate to ride original Nemesis when it first opened in ‘94. Must have rode it a hundred times over the years. One of my all time favourite coaster
Yesturday was a phenomenal day overall. The ride was amazing and the themeing was fantastic. I left my house just before 4am and I got there at 7am and when they lifted up the barrier infront of one section of turnstiles (NOT opening the turnstiles) everyone charged through the bag search and straight to the turnstiles which was hectic and a few people started having panic attacks so Alton towers didn’t want the normal guest to get there any earlier then hotel guests. But everyone at the normal gate just charged forward! Then the rest was amazing until it got to the night when we were on the other side of the fence to you guys and then got evaded out and forced out. Not great missing our night ride BUT the one ride we did get was front row!!! Great vlog as always from you guys keep up the amazing work!
Thank you for sharing! The communication was very poor from the staff members that entered the queue-line telling people to leave. The operator was advising people to try other attractions over the PA system, however this was optional and anyone was allowed to wait. Sadly the staff in the queue didn’t realise this which caused a huge amount of confusion and leaving many people without a night ride.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide yeah it’s a great shame but I’ve managed to get a ticket for this Saturday so bring on the night rides!!!!

I have lost count how many times I've riden nemesis. First time being not long after it opened. It will always be my fav ride. I just love the roar, can't wait to visit later this year
I was there yesterday Monday as I could,nt make it on Saturday.Still the best coaster ever.Still as powerful and Phenomenal.Only a five mins wait,I rode it 20 times.Staff told me the most intence place to sit is second from the back.Yes I noticed the rattle aswell,worst on the final banked turn into the brakes.
I agree with others sentiments that Shawn and Charlotte are such decent people, who are genuine and down to earth. Was lucky enough to be a part of the event at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park a few years ago. Also can't believe that Sean from Lift Hills and Thrills was behind you in the queue 😂

Fantastic vlog Shaun & Charlotte, we were gutted that we never saw you as we really wanted to say hello and thank you for all the fab updates, but hopefully we’ll see you on park one day in the future. We had an unbelievably great day, loved the atmosphere and was just overjoyed by the outpouring of love that so many people still have for this incredible rollercoaster. I wish I could still ride coasters, I’d love to be able to experience nemesis again. 6 year old me would ride it over and over again, I loved every second of it back in the day! It looks incredible, it’s amazing to see Alton Towers putting effort into the park with the new management. I truly hope they bring back the magic that it used to have - it’s desperately needed!

I personally prefer shorter vlogs (20-40 minutes), however I really enjoyed this one. I was really shocked and suprised by this insanely long wait Nemesis Reborn had yesterday. I was not here because I live in Austria, but I would love to go to the UK Theme Parks in the future. You captured the atmosphere really well and it was a very enjoyable video😊😊

It's honestly so impressive how much effort and work they have put into Nemesis. I knew already that they were planning to do something big but this has really blown my expectations. And honestly it is incredible to see the amount of subtle detail they have added and all the extra bits of theming. I cannot wait to get my ride on it! I'm so excited for my September trip.

IMO the park should’ve used the old gray track for the theming around the the ride, I think it’d have made more sense in that it’d look as though the creature molted and shed its old “skin” so to speak but it looks amazing & TYSM for sharing your experience and, although I’m a lifelong enthusiast, I really appreciate the backstory because I was unaware of it as I’ve never been to this park as of yet.
It was so crazy at the end of the day. We were on the same train as you for the last ride of the night, so happy we did not leave that queue!

it's been ages since i was in the splash landings hotel and seeing you two walk down the path to the galactica entrance reminded me of it when i was so young.
It's actually fascinating to see the hype for this.
Shows that parks don't always need the newest / fastest / tallest to get people hyped and to have a great time.
I'd love it... JUST LOVE IT if they did a Corkscrew reborn. Wouldn't have to be exactly the same layout but designers could have a lot of fun with that - mixing nostalgic elements with modern technology and fresh ideas.

What an emotional watch already 11:33 remember that queue line route from opening year, I was 10 and on tip toes tall enough to ride. Took my dad and brother on, great times! Bringing my 13 year old this year and we are both so excited for this! Glad you had a great day!

It’s Fantastic what they have done Nemesis Reborn Station looks amazing waiting a whole year has been worth it.The Queue was massive shows people have missed it.
We were walking through the car park at 0900 and heard the countdown! The queue at the main gate even then was really long so by the time we got to the back of the Nemesis queue it was 0945 and we started at Pizza & Pasta! Soooo long. We're still there smiling in your video around the 30 minute mark though haha.
Later on in the evening we got some luck back though by deciding to jump on Smiler when it was at 55mins, but there was NO ONE in the ride queue until you got inside so we were on in about 8 mins!! No idea why, we couldn't believe our luck haha. People queuing in the fast track we looking at us and weren't happy 😄

Alton Towers have just exceeded every expectation I had for this! I'm getting thousands of photos around that brand new eye for sure. I think it makes sense if the blood rivers don't come back tbh, since Nemesis isn't bleeding anymore. Not certain if that was the Original idea behind that but hopefully the bloodless waterfalls at least start flowing again. Other than that and a few unfinished things, this looks incredible and I'm looking forward for an april visit!

Absolutely blown away by the effort AT have put in for Nemesis Reborn! The theming and ride experience is unreal and the atmosphere yesterday was incredible.
Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones who were told to leave at the end. Absolutely gutted that if we had stayed we could have got the night ride we had waited for for months 😢 Didn’t ruin the day, but a real dampener

Wow Shawn and Charlotte what a vlog. Nemesis reborn looks fantastic. That atmosphere got to go down in as the best in history for the park.I unfortunately could not get there as it was fully booked was looking forward to seeing you both there. I remember when it opened in 94 the atmosphere was no where near what it was Saturday. What a moment . In my opinion the best ride at Alton towers in it's history. Great vlog Shawn and Charlotte, brilliant coverage and Nemesis looked awesome. The queue was sooooo long though - you passed my son Paul and his friend Rob 29:19 (sitting down). They were staying at the Park overnight and spoke with you both later on. They really enjoyed the ride and went back later when it got dark. They stayed in the queue when the ride had difficulties and everyone was being asked to leave so were very lucky to experience another ride on it and see it lit up at night, think they bagged front row seats too. The Nemesis Reborn model was fab and the merch looked good. Some things quite pricey but pleased they are doing more embroided motifs, the peaked cap was cool x
