Is it weird that this is my biggest issue with Formula E?
I don't mind the sound, the cars, the drivers, hell I can even look past the fanboost thing. But godamn the circuits make me wanna torque steer myself into the nearest tree.
Pescara Productions me too, I understand that they’re done like that in purpose because they suit this cars better, but if FE raced on permanent classic tracks it would be much better in my view
Georgexx 13 I wouldn't even mind new tracks myself just want ones that have the width to pass and turns that don't eliminate everyones fake aero in one lap lol.
jamie 711711 oh I know that's the reason they run tiny tracks the length isn't my problem with it. Plenty of better short tracks they could create with city layouts and countries aren't exactly at a loss when it comes to little conventional circuits. Just look at brands Indy, Mallory, lydden, etc. The London eprix's idea to run it around one of their countless parks was a great idea . Just a shame they chose a PATH to run it on and nobody wanted it there. Just pure location cockup.
Nah...it's the combination of all of things that makes Formula E suck (except the drivers). I've even heard EVs that sound cool with their "warp drive" noise, but Formula E cars sound like I'm having a root canal. It all wreaks of a "greenwashing" gimmick with more insufferable buzzwords than substance.

hey jimmy, can you make a video about how to approach a new track? like how to memorize it and how to find your breaking points and the way you approach the corners. what is the difference in taking a corner with a mustang oder a gt car for example. would be really nice, thank you
hugo balder Basically you just need to put in many hours, start slow and raise the pace when you're feeling comfortable. Many tracks have those meter marks or other solid points to mark your braking points.

What I can’t stand about *Formula E* are the circuits... they are too narrow and don’t allow for overtaking. I’d much rather see them on proper tracks like *F1* uses...
well how about this...they only have all season tires. They only do short street tracks. Their cars look good [imo if you hate dont care]. They are just a fun little moto thing...hell f1 is losing fans because of the halo and look at indycar with a windshield
UniSylveKitty - if people leave *F1* because of the halo then they’re *_idiots._** F1* is the pinnacle of motorsport engineering, not a coliseum of gladiators... if the danger of death was what brought someone in there are other types of racing to satiate their bloodlust (dirt flat tracks come to mind). I really don’t see why people are freaking out to the point of “leaving *F1”...* sure, it’s ugly and won’t protect the drivers from small debris, but it will protect them from everything else and it’s the rules and you’ll get used to seeing it by *P2* in Australia... far more important things to worry about than this...
Well indycar had the right idea of safety...a windshield can deflect but the halo cant stop small things...it'll only maybe stop a tire but thats it....plus the halo looks awful and they should try things like windshield like indycar did...f1 is boring because you dont get to see full races only just small overtake videos here and there and indycar is just well...better....overtakes and competition and f1 is like what? Restricted to fia?
There's some fans leaving F1 simply because of the new logo as well...how petty can some fans get?
UniSylveKitty if people are angry about the halo so what its protection it's different than before but not much different besides you can watch full F1 races with the same excitement even more as your more protected so you can push harder

I'm waiting for the day they they simulate driving modern F1 cars on all the old F1 circuits, I.E. (the original entire Monza layout with the highbank) and ones that are no longer used. Perhaps as a bonus in racing games.

That was because that the HK circuit IS an all street circuit. All the road are open roads as with heavy daily usage.

The formula E cars and race setup are powered off glucose genns, which is its 100% renewable.

Formula E uses very low emission generators to produce all power used by the cars. They are diesel generators modified to run on glycerine, a by-product of biofuel production. They also plan the race schedule to minimize the need for air transportation of equipment including these generators, instead encouraging the use of land and sea-based shipping to reduce emissions.

4:58 Electricity comes mostly from burning fossil fuels and gas, and most efficiently, nuclear energy - if people don't know how electricity is generated I'd recommend you look into it, it's interesting that pretty much everything other than enviromentally clean methods involve using the fuel to heat water to steam, turning a turbine and harnessing that mechanical energy
Much more efficiently than any ICE, though.
@@tl8211 ICE's are much, much more efficient than electric motors on the same amount of energy, but ICE's emit carbon back out, plus a chunk of the energy is wasted on heat and noise.
If you didn't already know, 99.5% of the fuel that makes cars go is the oxygen in the air; the other 0.5% is fuel used to ignite the oxygen, most commonly refined oil (petrol or diesel), since it's the most abundant and available fuel source that is suited to ICE's. Technically, you can run most engines on any flammable liquid such as vegetable oil (with a few adjustments to the engine)
@@CamoDrako No, they really aren't. The best they can do in terms of efficiency with perfect thermodynamics is still far from what an electric powertrain can do. Motor generators commonly have 90%+ efficiency, no thermal engine can even come close to that. Of course, a lot of energy is produce by thermal engines primaries, but they can be more efficient (thanks to economies of scale) than all but the best ICEs, and renewable sources are super efficient.
Wasting energy on heat and noise is exactly what inefficiency is. All energy that is consumed needs to go somewhere, what isn't going to powering the vehicle goes to heat and noise.
