Maybe your next video can be about how to correct muscle imbalances. i can see from the mirror that my left shoulder is smaller than my right, therefore naturally my right arm is stronger than the left. i believe many people have the same condition and will benefit from learning how to correct the imbalance properly. thank you very much again and do keep up the excellent work bro ! :) cheers!

    Great stuff in here, I've done a similar thing for the bicep but with chin ups.
    It's called 21, you do 7 bottom half, 7 upper half, 7 full motion.
    It's a killer, but if you can do 1-2 sets towards the end of your session it's amazing. I would recommend to most people that can rep 10-12 standard pull-ups

    I love your videos and have no doubt you know exactly what you’re on about. I just have one question about the killer biceps exercise, all i’ve ever seen/heard is that it’s better to have a heavier weight and lower reps to build muscle rather than the latter, wouldn’t the killer biceps exercise be doing the latter hence not building muscle as effectively but rather focusing on muscle endurance?? please correct me if i’m wrong I just can’t wrap my head around this stuff haha

    • @Caliversity
      @Caliversity  10 месяцев назад

      There is no one way to training. A heavy weight with low reps is as effective as a light weight with high reps. However, many people dive into training with zero knowledge on what they're doing, which is why I recommend doing both.

      The important thing is to feel the muscle. Do the exercise in a slow and controlled manner. Don't aim for high reps. Aim for quality reps, I myself fell for this trap before as well. It took me a month of doing something wrongly before I adjusted my sets and started doing it right. I saw growth in less than 2 weeks afterwards

    • @xx-----------xx873
      @xx-----------xx873 Год назад +3

      Both work about the same, callisthenics requires you to have lower body fat so you’ll not need to cut
      Just start with pull-ups, if you go to the gym you’ll be doing them anyways.

    • @Caliversity
      @Caliversity  Год назад +7

      For size wise, gym for sure.
      The gym allows you to adjust the weights so hypertrophy is constantly within your means.
      Your bodyweight stays the same in Calisthenics so you'll inevitably build strength first and then muscle later once your body is used to repping it's own weight

    Where did you see the information about reducing rest time as being one of the fastest ways to build muscle? From what I've seen, reducing rest time as a form of prog overload just reduces your capacity in the next set, and therefore it would be more efficient to keep rest times longer and prog overload through adding weight?

    • @Caliversity
      @Caliversity  9 месяцев назад

      At a certain point in bodyweight training, the weight pushed and pulled stays the same. So once it becomes easy, thats where rest time should be reduced to make ot more intense

    1. If you want to grow big triceps or biceps in the gym, focus more on isolations, not compounds, compounds will fatigue the main muscle (chest/back) faster than the secondary muscle (bicep/tricep)
    2. 5 sets is WAY too much volume for compound lifts, especially at that high of a rep range.
