- Watch how an asparagus growing from a bare-root to crowns and young plant in this time lapse. The root was planting in a pot with soil and grow lights. It took about 10 days to see 2 crowns shot up from ground and quickly developed leaves and flowers. After that, the plant kept growing more crowns.
This is one of the crazy fast growing plants, we have ever experienced. This could grow into one foot tall in a single day. It reaches over 4-feet and was out-grown of our studio for just over 60 days.

The shoots grow ridiculously fast. If I forget to pick them in the morning, they might have grown beyond picking point the next day

I once saw one in the woods that was at least 3 meters high. Never saw another one like that.

Yes but dont. It needs sunlight to develop the roots so it can eventually produce real asparagus
