The one on the order of application you could simply use BODMAS (Brackets of Division Multiplication Addiction Subtraction) easier to remember and calculate instead of the whole ‘right to left thing’
I know your teacher probably taught you BODMAS, but using BODMAS has a fundamental problem. I have seen so many students get questions wrong because of that. BODMAS assumes you always do DIVISION before MULTIPLICATION. That is not true. There are times you have to do MULTIPLICATION before DIVISION.

Thank you so much for this video; I learned a lot! Could you possibly further break down the last problem, and explain the "why" behind how you combined the numbers and structured it that way?
Great set and explanations. A very useful review of GED math. Thank you! (One small thing I noticed was that the units in No. 26 (volume of a cube) were listed as units squared, instead of cubed.)
Because 2 * 2 is 4 and then 6 * 6 is 36 it's mostly asking you what number times itself can you cross out or times another number to cross out since 2 * 2 equals 4 it was changed to a two
That's why we explained it with -2 in the video. It's a very common mistake. (-1)^2 is positive 1, here we are seeing as -1 x -1. -1^2 is -1, here we are seeing as 1 x 1, which is 1, then bringing the negative to get -1. For the first one we are squaring the negative and the one. For the second one we are just squaring the one, so the negative remains

Hi there. I'm confused why in questions 1 and 2 you used the same formula, but you multiplied the 1st question by 300 on each side. And in question 2, you cross multiplied. Can you explain why?
no bc it was already -1 so u basically ignore the fact that its squared bc u cant do - -1 lol but if it was + at first then yes it would have been -1 after but u would still get same answer
-2squared was in ( ) so u do that first u dont worry about the 3x yet, u would drag it down so it would be (-2)squared would be 4 bc -2 squared would be -2 x -2 and a negative and a negative is a positive so then its 4 then u do the 3, 3 x 4 is 12 then 12 + 2 -1 is 13... dont worry u got this i am also a dropout man just gonna take alot of work but dont give up

so are these some of the questions on the math ged test?
It’s possible. But I doubt it. I have taken it twice and it’s ALWAYS DIFFERENT
How is there any difference between negative 2 squared and negative 2 squared
Need to pass my math on the Tassc test (GED) ughhh i passed everything Elsa. I failed math 3 times only by 4 points smh. Let me take notes 📝 This time i will PASS!!! 🙏🏽
If you pass a test do Hebert have to retake that test? Can u just keep taking the ones you failed until you pass etc?
City Angels Candles And Creations you just take the subject you fail. You don’t have to do the whole test over.
Thank you so much for this video; I learned a lot! Could you possibly further break down the last problem, and explain the "why" behind how you combined the numbers and structured it that way?
Anne Sophie Math Antics Algebra with exponents/square roots
In 16:56 could you also solve for less than/greater than by converting the improper fraction to a mixxed number instead of cross multiplying???
What is question number 4 called? Like math term? That's what I want to practice more
Great set and explanations. A very useful review of GED math. Thank you!
(One small thing I noticed was that the units in No. 26 (volume of a cube) were listed as units squared, instead of cubed.)
Thank you for pointing it out.
Pls what is the difference in question 4. I can't write out the values because I'm using my phone.
I understand some. Thanks
Thanks for the GED Video!
Thanks great video I've learned so much
Do you have any videos for those that do not quite process math unless it concerns their income?
question 8. why do you have to replace the 4 with 2 squared, same with 36 to 6 squared? how do you know when and if to do that? thanks
Because 2 * 2 is 4 and then 6 * 6 is 36 it's mostly asking you what number times itself can you cross out or times another number to cross out since 2 * 2 equals 4 it was changed to a two
Im having trouble on question 4. on the second step 3(-2)^2 instead of getting 3.4 im getting 12 or -12?
I got 49.99 for the 2 question will that still be marked as correct? I did 100:30=3.333... Then 3.333..times 15 and got 49.9999
A lot of this math especially those fractions are from like 5th grade I swear tho these math videos are soo helpful
For question 4, doesn't -1 squared become a positive 1 since its a negative 1 x negative 1?
That's why we explained it with -2 in the video. It's a very common mistake. (-1)^2 is positive 1, here we are seeing as -1 x -1.
-1^2 is -1, here we are seeing as 1 x 1, which is 1, then bringing the negative to get -1.
For the first one we are squaring the negative and the one.
For the second one we are just squaring the one, so the negative remains
You videos are very helpful.
why are negative numbers with an exponent treated differently without parentheses?
also do you have any videos with practice questions like these?
This video is good but I understand better when someone explains why is it that answer in details.
nevermind think I got it,do you do any personal tutoring?
In the problem 26 the answer is 36m3 right? Why is m2 if we are taking about a cube.
Yes, It's cubed not squared
I wrote my GED and got 67% because I couldn't find x
But right now am good 1 to 6 was super easy
I m 39 n i want to pass my GED test .
I hv som queries like we hv to gv all subjects’s exam together or one by one??
Whts the passing marks??
Whts the time period to pass all these exams??
Im so scared im 16 and my parents pulled me out of school to help work for the family long story short i have to take my ged in less then a year i need all the help i can get and this was very helpful thank you
awwalexgirl36 awesome you’ll do fine, I’m 16 too and will be taking the ged and I’m nervous too, but just believe in yourself and study and you’ll be fine! Also you’re beautiful 😎
I need to get my GED where do I start
In question 32 how is 19/15=1 4/15 ?😕 not even in my calculator I get that.
If you could please explain, it’ll be very appreciated.
Got 147 in preexam and after weeks I did it again u got 142 :)
Thanks for everything i passed on my first try with a 150
Yaayyy!!! I'm so happy for you. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! Definitely helpful :)
Great channel. Just subscribed!
Thank you
@@UltimateAlgebra ❤️
I watched this 3times and pass my ged
Yay!!! Congratulations!
Excelent! Thank you very much
Thank you.
Hi there. I'm confused why in questions 1 and 2 you used the same formula, but you multiplied the 1st question by 300 on each side. And in question 2, you cross multiplied. Can you explain why?
On problem #48 the -3 added to the 2 is not -1 WHY? I am confused
Are the formulas given in the GED test or do we have to memorise all of them?
There is a formula sheet in the top left or right corner if I can remember
On the test
This is so helpful, thanks
How did you get the answer for 7 and 8
Thanks
The 75 looks like 15 that's why i got it wrong..😖😖😖😖
Would the 4th question equal 15 because you have to tack on the negative when you square 1?
no bc it was already -1 so u basically ignore the fact that its squared bc u cant do - -1 lol but if it was + at first then yes it would have been -1 after but u would still get same answer
Anything on the workers math
The easiest way is to divide 30by15=0.5 then multiply by 100 works for all
It works till the question is twisted.
Thanks! I hope I pass
I'm so happy for you. Thanks for sharing.
On question 4 Did you multiply 3(-2 squared ) to get 4, ( 3.4 )
-2squared was in ( ) so u do that first u dont worry about the 3x yet, u would drag it down so it would be (-2)squared would be 4 bc -2 squared would be -2 x -2 and a negative and a negative is a positive so then its 4 then u do the 3, 3 x 4 is 12 then 12 + 2 -1 is 13... dont worry u got this i am also a dropout man just gonna take alot of work but dont give up
Question-11/
I just did 25% of 100, being(25) then add a multiplier of (2) in this case, for the end result of 50....
For 7 how did you compute x-5 and x+5?
in this video where did that 3.4 came from
on the first one, just change the percent to a decimal and multiply. Thats what i always do.
Please explain question number 11
