Stage 1 remap, 204hp, but that was with dpf on which was pretty much toasted.
In this video DPF is removed from its case, perhaps has few more HP then before, DPF casing remade as perforated exhaust muffler.
Barely noticable howl noise, pretty much quiet as stock. So far no check engine code, both egr and dpf are NOT turned off via software.
Crazy to see how much more powerful the manual version is
It does not loose that much power, this car is remapped, not stock horsepower...
Nice bro pretty quick 👍
How come you did not use 6th gear ? Power drops after 4000rpm. You loose 60hp.
I have same car. 320d xdrive auto 1600kg 184hp 280lbs. Full emmission delete (cat egr dpf) unblocked. Remap gives about 240hp and 350lbs. Unblocking all the filters gives you more turbo boost about 400 rpm lower. And better engine sound.
In stock trim 184hp mine got to over 220 kph 5th gear but close to 230kph in 6th gear. With 240hp it pulled past 244 kph.
Best gain was fuel consumption. Stock was mid 50s mpg on highway and mid 30s mpg in town. Now its mid 60s mpg and 40s mpg.
Hi!
Well, I can tell you that this car does not slow down at higher revs, shifting it in 6th gear would not make a big change... We can try and see if it makes better time shifting at 4000 RPM.
However, look at this dyno. postimg.cc/WqGVYSVp
Dont mind "F10" written bellow, its a mistake, its a dyno of this car.
There is no indication of power drop even at 4200rpm. Shifting it later felt like a sweet spot to me.
This is not my car, my friend owns it. He decided to leave all the emission components on, despite my advice to remove it prior to remap :P
Can you record 0-200 time like this? And stay safe at the same time :P
Cheers
@@TomoReso yeah sure next time im on the german autobahn i can time the 0 to 200. Whats your time ?
Its not just power that drops off above 4000rpm it more about the torque collapse. Torque is good from 2300rpm to 3800rpm. Above 180 kph use 6th gear.
@@hungrysurfer9471 It was about 27 seconds.
@@TomoReso thats quick. Like a 330d
Im thinking about getting a 330d rwd next. About £15k buys a low mileage minter. They do 60s mpg on the highway but can remap to over 300 hp.
After unblocking the filters and remapping, im hoping for 70s mpg with over 250 kph top speed and 0 to 60 in 4.8 secs.
Good map what company you,re using ?
tunerc from slovenia.
We had 3 cars remapped there, f10 525d f30 320d and f30 316d. Its been almost a year since remap, no smoke, no problems what so ever. Would recommend.
@@arcziit777 116d came to 168hp, its a lot faster then stock. Stock is nearly not driveable haha
There is no problem with the mileage that this car have with the remap ?
No. It is still driving, no black smoke, not spending oil, no weird noises. And to make it better, He is going on a track day today with that car :) .
How much ps?
204
@@TomoReso 184 stock? These 20d engines go from 163/184hp to 220-225hp with stage 1 as far as I know.
@@ThenameisOskar They usually go about 220hp you are correct... however this car had pretty bad, clogged dpf. First run on dyno before remap showed 172hp (184 stock)... Also reading the codes on the car it shows that it wanted to do dpf regeneration 50+ times... That is the reason for lower hp after the remap.
@@TomoReso Why would you remap a car which has DPF issues? Unless you removed the DPF or atleast the stuff inside and removed DPF regeneration in the ECU.
@@ThenameisOskar This is not my car. The owner found it out during the remap, and by his own decision he wanted to remap anyways. It wasnt fully clogged, but it became restrictive enough to hurt horsepower.
How is clutch holding?
Recently changed due to owners wish, along with dual mass flywheel. Flywheel was at the end of its life, it had just enough play to have it replaced, while clutch disc itself was still doing good. It had 300 000Km when it was changed, no problems what so ever, never slipped. (Original clutch, never changed before)
I mapped my 420d. it currently has 120,000 km. 6 speed manual gearbox as well. it happened to me 2 times that in 4th gear at full throttle the revs jump from 2500 to 2700 revs and return in a fraction of a second and then nothing again no matter how rough I am with the clutch, so I'm afraid that it might not be a sign that the clutch is started to slip 🤷♂️
@@156corse It might be on its way out, yes.
@@TomoReso we'll see, maybe it just overheated a bit at that moment because since that last time the clutch grabs like new regardless of driving style 🖖
my 316d chip is exactly as fast as yours
