If you like cats, id recommend a RUclips channel called Michael Jameson. He's got lots of animals, including about a dozen dogs, a few dozen cats and kittens, several monkeys and two Tigers.
I can't believe that it is the first time you are in Istanbul because you travel a lot. Istanbul is an amazing city and I think everyone should visit it
By the way the reason the guys laugh to your name might be that “erik” in turkish is plum 😂 that might be the reason haha
Wonder what my name is lol
@@Matthewgriffiths18 There is no translation of Matthew in Turkish lol.
@@rachael4512 Bible mentions Matthew? So there would be a trans for it.
@@TuAFFalcon I don't think Matthew is mentioned by name in the Qu'ran. It mentions Jesus's disciples but not by name. (As far as I can tell).
And the word Matthew definitely isn't used as a word for anything in Turkish, which is what I meant to say.
@@rachael4512 you sound like you have turkish relatives :)
I am a new subscriber, and I was so happy to see a whole series on Turkey! I went to Istanbul several years ago, and I loved it!! When I was there, I stayed in the Besitas area. It was amazing. The hotel I stayed at way just up a short hill from the Straight and my room had an amazing view!
Istanbul is a great city - if you like it, go back in the late spring when everything is green, and eating outside is fab (I particularly liked the courtyard at the Yesil Ev).
You guys both make my day! I've been stuck in hospital for weeks. Watched (I think) all your vids! You make recovery better! Keep up the travels! Maybe someday, I can join y'all!
Allison's poncho is really growing on me. It's so multi-useful.
Mexican style.
I just booked a week there in February next year, can't wait
Amazing! You’ll love Turkey 👍
@@Theendlessadventure next time you're near Stonehenge in England let me know, I live 20 minutes away and have been following you guys for a long time.
Istanbul is amazing.
The scenes you guys make while in train/buses/cars is one of my favorites because it really gives me the feeling I have when I'm traveling to a new place.
This has to one of the destinations that I want to visit most. Love the videos guys. Best travel channel on RUclips. The place you guys are staying at is perfect.
Enjoy Istanbul, guys! One of my favourite cities in the World. Pro-tip, visit big Camlica Hill!!! It’s one of the highest view points in Istanbul, there’s a huge tea garden up there, for the best sunset views over the whole city!!! 👌🏻
Turkey is a wonderful country I have never had a bad holiday there The food is fantastic BUT do not buy any food or drinks at an airport especially Dalaman they are astronomically expensive !!!!!!
turkish ppl never buy food or something at airport... yes you right they selling very expensive.
Love your poncho Allison, looks super warm and cute 😊
Love all the cat footage guys! tip: the cafe name is pronounced like 'juma' and means 'Friday.'
4:10 - Ahh, the laughing might be because there is a Turkish word "erik" which means plum.
9:46 - I recommend you taste some "kestane" if you haven't eaten any.
One of my favourite cities.
I watch all of your commercials. I never skip them.
My coffee intake has gone up since watching you! Your coffee's always look great.
While you are in Istanbul try Turkish breakfast in one of the traditional cafe
Ack!!!! Just as you changed from night to day in the air BnB, aState Farm commercial popped up. Then you say “We’re back!”. Was just really funny to me, “perfectly timed”. Love your videos and it makes my day to see you both, especially with kitties! Tammy and my kitty Clark from Springfield IL 🇺🇸. Wishing continued safe and fun travels.😻🥰😸
Very beautiful old city
Good job you did fly. When I went to Icmeler it took two hours on a bus from the airport and we went over some scary mountains with massive vertical drops. Turkish bus divers don't use the brake.
Well come to Turkey guys👍🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Enjoy!
2:14 looks so good
Watching another travel video I heard that you can buy a 48-hr Museum/Transportation pass. It saves waiting on ticket lines or walking.
First! Hahah istanbul will be greaaat! 😄
An overweight friend of mine who lived in Istambul until recently was forever startled when out and about, everybody was shouting at him or so he thought. Then it was explained to him that Fatteh is a very popular Turkish name and he thought they were shouting fatty!
We took the tram to the west and changed to a train perhaps or walked and ended up at a modern shopping Mall. Guess what, they had the best wood grilled Chicken, in a mall!!!!. My wife said KFC is history.
I would say come to Cyprus but can be expensive in summer so should go in winter and visit both the north and the south as there is a divide! Cyprus is just beautiful on both sides
Gosh guys you videos are so fun to watch!!!! If you want some recommendations about Israel I would love to give some ❤️
In love with Instabul & not just cuz of the 🐱's but now that I'm mentioning it....it's *Now* cuz of the 🐱's! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻
Welcome to Turkey ♥️
i hope you have a good time😊
I hope you like the Turkey. 🤗
Türkçe yazsana olm
in australia we have a 7kg limit on carryon bags and they weigh them at the gate and make you pay if there over.
I wonder if tourists from Eastern Europe like say Turkey, comment on the price of almonds in the US, you know where a pack of Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds will cost you 8-10 USD
I m from Turkey . Good country . We are love people. Türkler nerdesiniz çevirin ingilizcem yetmiyor yorumlara kötü yazan olmuş muuu
Come to cyprusss !! ILY ❤️
You guys used to be one of my favourite travel channels but now you are the only ones I follow. All the best
inci pastanesi for its profiterole. don't miss it guys. every time I visit Istanbul I find myself there. it is just around the corner: Şehit Muhtar Mahallesi, Mis Sk. 18/A, 34435 Beyoğlu/İstanbul
If your liked your area in Istanbul you will love Belgrade
Belgrade is awesome!!! Definitely the most vivid city in the Balkans. Serbia does not get the attention it deserves. Greetings to Serbia from Germany.
Welcome the our country.
Another awesome video...come back to Portland, Oregon.
try palace food at the restaurant nxt to the Chora museum good to visit too as are the city walls. the Noah's dessert at the Sultans Palace and Lakmajum anywhere. The stuffed mussels are amazing as are grilled anchovies. Enjoy also 2000 years of Christian history.
The apartment looks like a pretty sweet set up. How long are you guys in Turkey?
that was nice thanks
Thanks for the cats!
Kayseri
I will arrive 15 dec next week.. how about weather at turkey? How many celcius °c...

Come to South America guys
Welcome 👍
There is not istanbul but Nevsehir ( cappadocia )
Great video. Looking forward to the rest of your adventure in Istanbul. Are the Turks friendly to Americans? Just curious. Looks like a wonderful city to visit.
Dennis Brown p
if you are tourist yes but if you say you are canadian they would be more friendly haha
Hi Guys. A very different question. What was that card game you hunted down and bought recently? It sounded great and I did google it afterwards but can't remember the name now. I can't remember which city you were in. Want to get it for a card loving player friend for Christmas. Thanks. Much love.
Hei
I have been following you for some time now and I hope i know what kind of places do you like to visit
I really recommend you Madeira, hope to read about this place and add it to your list for next months
Hold on hold on .. those are Gözlemes! Not Crepes. What are you? Americans? Just kidding with you guys 😂 loved your editing!
6:40 ............ eric why do u wiggle ur toes while u talk?? hahaha!!
Hey guys,
I just stayed in an AirBnB with a friend last month in L.A. and was wondering, since you guys seem to use them like 90% of the time, do you tend to avoid it in cities where AirBnB has caused more problems for the locals ? It's not my go-to option, but I see how convenient it is for eg. for families and long-term travellers, but I'm also quite aware that it's illegal or problematic in a lot of places. Would love to know your opinion on this !
ghanwin it’s common sense that you don’t use AirBnB is places that it’s illegal.
@@Caswell19 Nope, I'm part of a few travel groups and there's discussion on this matter every now and then, with people getting messages from hosts in various cities, telling them to be very quiet in the apartment and not mention to the neighbours that they're renting through AirBnB. This happens in cities where AirBnB is highly regulated and hosts have to adhere to strict laws and permits.
my goodness my husband and i are older he is 71 have you had any issues with illness or the water ? Do you reccommend this for our ages?
İStanbul little could right now. you should visit 1-2 month later
I love your work.. go to Antayla
Antalya*
Visit Romania again! 😍
welcome :D
👏🙏
AT 9:46 very nice hot chestnuts on cold day very christmassy . thank you both 🍷☕️🍰
If you are Protestants Nicea is interesting.
Total confusion. Whence? Where? The title says "Istanbul"!
Please come to China.
As bayrakları
Go to a turkish football match
its not possible belive me... you need passo lig card.. which one take too much time
@@kayacenk4164 no non turkish citizens have some other prosedure. I mean its easier
5:05 for example you earn 1500 dollars for a month and we earn 1500 turkish lira's for a month. Moneys value are same. But we pay like 20-21 turkish liras for that snack and you pay only 4 dollars. I hope you understand what i am saying. Sad for my poor country and my poor people.
😆🤘👊🍻🍺
Great video. You two watch out for each other , its a crazy world out there . They just found the body of a woman from Tampa Florida. She was staying at an Airbnb in Costa Rica. Maybe you should do a video on safety while traveling? Just a thought...Be safe .
11:02 how much did you pay for that? maybe 10 dollars for each person? it's 50 turkish liras for us and it's too expensive for a meal. We can buy only bread and chicken doner with same prizes. :D I think every person in the europe must visit to Turkey. Cheap country i promise.
Well cheap know due the problems in thr economy.
I liked you two&your original content but your just cashing in now
A dangerous place to be a pigeon.
Not really man these are all domestic cats they can catch mouse, birds can be hard. The African cat can catch all :) Besides they are all fed by the community and store owners. In Istanbul they are all tagged (the dogs) and cats have houses built for them in reserve areas.
Petting dirty animals all the time.
Be aware - Last month a UK resident died of rabies caught from a cat bite in Morocco. Feral cats in Turkey can also be infected.
so for you morocco and istanbul same quality? thats show you know nothing about turkey or istanbul
kaya cenk I did not intend to offend. A fact is a fact. You cannot deny that rabies is is a serious issue and is to be found in cats in Turkey as well as other places and care should be taken.
@@AfterTheRains i live in istanbul and i havent seen a cat or dog with rabies.stray animals are being vaccinated in turkey
Stepan Razin: I am pleased to hear of the vaccinations but currently rabies is an issue in feral animals in Turkey. You may not have seen it but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. Even TripAdvisor warns of this in Turkey not to mention the World Health Organisation. I only mentioned a ‘be aware’ message as a warning not to pet animals you don’t know.
Come to Israel! 🇮🇱
