I just bought my second To 1080p camera and the set up stated it would cost me $15 per month to add the second camera! What a rip off! Nowhere was this mentioned in the lit I researched. It's going back!

I don’t see how the cameras say wireless but you have to have a 10ft usb cable to give it power. I’m not trying to figure out how to wire the camera to a power outlet.

Hi, I'm a little late to the game. I just bought this camera from Amazon and didn't think about how long it's been out prior to buying it. Oooops, I hope age doesn't matter. 🤔 Anyway, I'm hoping you can answer a question for me before I decide if I'm going to keep it. Does this camera always need a power source? I assumed that I only had to charge the battery/camera occasionally. Now I'm second guessing that and wondering if it needs to be plugged in all of the time. My 1070p cameras now say incompatible with 5G. I GM have written the company, looked on sites for help. All the Company said was while connecting to camera to change to 2.4 I am completely lost. Any helpful advice?
I am trying since 2 hours in and it still does not work. Easy setup? No, except if you have got a "review" version of the camera. "Wifi password error" I went through all the steps. The last one is manually installing the firmware. Without manual... I figured out that a micro SD is required to do so, but none is provided. The camera is therefore not in working order when delivered.

This is a Chinese device and I am skeptical of connecting it to my wifi, and then downloading an app in my phone to setup. I don't want to connect to a chinese ran website/app that I also have my personal computer on. Is this a risk that the Chinese Communist Gov't, which is authoritative and totalitarian in its ruling of country (including businesses), could possibly impose on my privacy? either monitoring or hacking? (TIkTok has been banned in many countries, and maybe US, for this reason). I only want to use the SD Card, which is what sold me, and set-up should be accomplished thru connecting a device USB direct to computer (or just use default settings) -standard in most devices but not this one which makes me more skeptical . I have the same exact camera, had it for a year already. I use it as a baby monitor. I always used the "baby crying detection" but it has suddenly disappeared entirely from my "smart detection" options. Now it only allows for motion detection. I'm a bit baffled and frustrated by this. Im wondering if it's all cameras or just something weird that happen to mine. It defeats the entire purpose if it took away that capability.

I received my camera a few days ago and have been running it since Thursday....I do like the fact that it was easy to install the app as well as the camera itself, however at night the camera seems to have a lot of distortion. I tried to adjust the distortion according to the directions on google but did not see in my settings anything referring to distortion detection ...am I doing something wrong...this is pretty simple to use.....I also ordered two cameras to put in the front and one in the back but I could not figure out how to connect both cameras to my devices so that I have dual coverage.

When these worked I loved them. I bought four of these after a few weeks they locked me out until I purchase their cloud account $79-$129. If you don't purchase the $129cloud the camera will snap a pic then shut down for a 10 minute cool off? 😂 Truthful.. if there's movement after the 10 min cool off it will start again ..I really want my security to continuously roll when some creep is creeping around. Oh I forgot it turns itself on and off I always turn it to the wall for that reason. Do not buy unless you can afford the $129 cloud..

I just bought my second To 1080p camera and the set up stated it would cost me $15 per month to add the second camera! What a rip off! Nowhere was this mentioned in the lit I researched. It's going back!
Lol it's definitely a crooked company. I'm trying to return the 4cams I bought last Xmas. I haven't bought their cloud account I refuse to pay a service that snaps a pic then shuts down for 10 minutes unless I purchased the premium that continue to roll

I don’t see how the cameras say wireless but you have to have a 10ft usb cable to give it power. I’m not trying to figure out how to wire the camera to a power outlet.

Does this camera always need a power source? I assumed that I only had to charge the battery/camera occasionally. Now I'm second guessing that and wondering if it needs to be plugged in all of the time. That is really going to limit where I can place it.

Kinda late reply, but make sure you don't use a VPN on your phone. It wont connect to the camera if you use that.

"Wifi password error" I went through all the steps. The last one is manually installing the firmware. Without manual... I figured out that a micro SD is required to do so, but none is provided. The camera is therefore not in working order when delivered.

This camera does need to be plugged in to work. This does not have a chargeable battery, therefore you cannot use it without it being plugged in.

halfway thru the video and so far nothing about the mounting and pivot to be able to see if we can mount and point the camera to our areas of concern.
It's a webcam with alerts, I dont want or need integration with corporate spyware. I want to know if some weasel lurking trying to jimmy my patio door open. No facial recognition required. I just need to know I can get the camera pointed at the right place for gods sake.

I have the very first YI 720p camera. I’m looking for something that can provide a better app streaming picture quality
This is a Chinese device and I am skeptical of connecting it to my wifi, and then downloading an app in my phone to setup. I don't want to connect to a chinese ran website/app that I also have my personal computer on. Is this a risk that the Chinese Communist Gov't, which is authoritative and totalitarian in its ruling of country (including businesses), could possibly impose on my privacy? either monitoring or hacking? (TIkTok has been banned in many countries, and maybe US, for this reason). I only want to use the SD Card, which is what sold me, and set-up should be accomplished thru connecting a device USB direct to computer (or just use default settings) -standard in most devices but not this one which makes me more skeptical .

I have the same exact camera, had it for a year already. I use it as a baby monitor. I always used the "baby crying detection" but it has suddenly disappeared entirely from my "smart detection" options. Now it only allows for motion detection. I'm a bit baffled and frustrated by this. Im wondering if it's all cameras or just something weird that happen to mine. It defeats the entire purpose if it took away that capability.

I received my camera a few days ago and have been running it since Thursday....I do like the fact that it was easy to install the app as well as the camera itself, however at night the camera seems to have a lot of distortion. I tried to adjust the distortion according to the directions on google but did not see in my settings anything referring to distortion detection ...am I doing something wrong...this is pretty simple to use.....I also ordered two cameras to put in the front and one in the back but I could not figure out how to connect both cameras to my devices so that I have dual coverage.
So u down load an app to make it work n also connect to home internet?

Pam I bought four of these after a few weeks they locked me out until I purchase their cloud account. If you don't purchase the premium set your camera will take a pic then shut down for a 10 minute cool off if there's movement after the 10 min cool off it will start again ..I really want my security to continuously roll when some creep is creeping around. Oh I forgot it turns itself on and off I always turn it to the wall for that reason. Last but not least you'll be swamped w ads of their products
Good overview. But, with no "SMART" functionality, small viewing angle and no facial recognition - I will pass on this product. A 4 pack of these for less than $85.00, now I understand why these are cheap.

Réglez le problème de mise a jour pour les Y I HOM cam. 7020 et 1080 leur connection avec wifi n est pas facile..merci d éclairer nos lanternes...

I bought 4 camer package and was told to buy Alexa echo 5. One camera works. Trying to work others it says I need to upgrade to their $129 I cloud package. Is it a rip off?

Purchased a 4 pack. One works wonderfull. However my dog moves from one room to another. Spent hours trying to pair other 3 cameras. 😡😡😡😡😡technician could not get it to work.
