I still remember this night so clearly. I was a sophomore in college in North Carolina at a friends watch party. Myself and one oner friend were the only Philadelphia fans there. That final play I couldn’t even let myself celebrate until I saw the broadcast turn to the sidelines and the celebrations. I still have a video of someone recording me sitting there for a moment crying taking it all in. I went outside and called my brother who was back home with my family. The yelling and cheering in the background told me the party was just starting. I sure hope the eagles and other Philadelphia teams can bring home more championships in my lifetime, but I’m certain none will ever be as good as getting to witness that first super bowl win.

@Robert Watt - I can honestly say that I've been alive long enough to see all 4 Philly sports teams win a championship in their respective sport. I was 4 years old in 1974 when the Flyers won their 1st Cup, and it was wild! My father took me round to Bridge & Pratt El stop (Frankford born & raised ❤️💙💛) and that is where I saw a naked man for the first time ever. He was wearing nothing but black high-top Chucks & a smile 😃. Didn't stop in 75 either. I hope we get to see a year like 1980 again but all 4 teams win instead of 1. Take care and Go Birds 💚🦅🏈
