This is currently the longest what if series on this channel. Surpassed Ash winning the Sinnoh League by a few hours. Great job, Ronin Charizard & all members involved.
I really hope we get a continuation of this amazing what if. I don't care if this version of Ash realistically doesn't go to Hoenn next. The next hypothetical season can start in Paldea for all I care.
I still wished that Giovanni's son Silver was introduced in this version of the anime. Having his ace Pokémon be a stolen Totodile. Thus giving Croconaw & Feraligatr more screen time.
They both could have been rivals like Ash's Infernape & Paul's Electivire. And Ash probably could have gotten Magmortar by the time he's at the Sinnoh League.
This will be my overall retrospective of the series, just going over my general thoughts of it. The episode count on this series far outsceeds anything else on the channel, which really gave it the time to flesh out the story you wanted to tell. Both main plotlines felt like they both got ampel amount of screentime and made me care about each group of characters. and made it feel really cool when they would both tie in together like the whirl cup for example. Ash's team i really enjoyed, feeling really diverse compared to his canon team with each member feeling like it had a role on the team, it made the Johto squad feel like it was able to stand up on their own. (And not having to relay on the Kanto Squad for more tougher battles) Gary's team i found abit less interesting but i still enjoyed the new members of it, Esp Houndour. overall abit less memoriable but still enjoyable. Ethan and Vincent were great additions, both of their arcs worked really well and were great foils for both Ash and Gary respectively, I felt as if Marina didn't really have much to do for this series, She was nice to have, but felt abit underutilised, expect in certian parts of the story. The Pokemon was agruabley one of the best Conculsions to any series on your channel, it took it's time and didn't rush through anything. Sence Team rocket had already been destroyed by then we fully got to focus on the battles. (Something that What if ash and paul travled to unova had a hard time doing, aleast at the end) each battle was really enjoyable and felt in character for the both battling. Ash losing the leauge was perfecetly ok in my eyes. and I'm proud of Ritchie for being able to pull the win! Overall i really enjoyed my time with this series! i do hope for a continuation in the future that follows the same Dual POV format this series had. as it really made it feel unique amongest the other series on this channel! S1 = 8/10 S2 = 9/10 Total = 8.5 / 10 Keep up the great work!
If Ronin decides to continue to explore this series I definitely see it as a possibility and would not complain in the slightest, although I also understand that these projects take effort and time so I wouldn’t hold it against him if he decided not to.

Its kinda dumb for Ash to lose to Ritchie, Ash also using his Champion level team against someone that is Elite 4 level is just silly and dumb. Sorry to say it but its true, and giving Ash a CHAMPION some GOOD Johto and didn't use it against Ritchies Pokémon beast of a team is sad and a bruh moment, and also making Ash over confident over and over again is just mediocre writing at this point. I thought Ash would be more smart and mature and much stronger but eh I guess not, also you could of evolved Magby like one of the comments say it could of been a counter to Garys Electivire.

I still can't believe that Ash's Magby didn't evolve in this version. Could have been a nice counterpart to Gary's Electabuzz.
