I love your drawings and designs! How did you find out about crayons doing that? Did u find out by accident, or did you just know?! Thanks for sharing. 💖🌸😊
Hi Vonalda! So sorry I missed your question before! I usually print on drawing/sketchpaper (200 gr). My favourite is a white paper that comes in a pad that I can buy at the corner store. So it's nothing fancy and I can easily get a replacement pad when I run out ;-). The crayon brand does not matter as long as it isn't a water-soluble kind. You can even make it work with a candle! Have fun gel printing!
I spent about two hours experimenting with glossy and mat magazine pages and I didn’t get one successful transfer. That said I wiped back, with baby wipes, the paint covered mag pages and got some very nice abstract pages with a bit of the images and colours emerging through the paint (dark colours as recommended). Moody pages that could come in handy down the road.
I had a try this afternoon, the frontage worked really well, pleased with the results. Any clues, tips how to improve on the ghost print? I didn't get a print to do the second go.
Catherine Peddel Do you mean step 1 and step 2? If yes: the ghost print can improve by trying a different kind of crayon or a different paint consistency. A combo of oil pastel for the rubbing and a heavier body paint (I used Talens Amsterdam) for printing gave me the boldest results, but you might prefer a different combo. Experiment with the supplies you have in your stash to find out!
Yvonne M, it's also called chipboard. She's using a light- or medium-weight chipboard. Really, you don't need to buy it unless you want a lot of it (check out Amazon or Uline). Seems like it's everywhere in packaging and notepads, etc.
Love this. Did not see this coming. Woah! Multiple prints from the grey board! This changes a lot. Bitch! This keeps stunning me as I keep watching. No need to reverse the writing?! Holy moly. Exciting.
Hi Donna, I'm sorry to hear it wasn't successful for you. Please contact me if you want any help. I'm sure we'll be able to figure out why it didn't work for you!

marsha valk.
I applied oil pastels on the paper. Paper types 120gsm and 250gsm. I am not getting the pattern from the stencil.
Just wow!
Excellent
Wow amazing
Awesome!
Nice ! What is gray paper?
It's like the backing to paper pads or the stuff used to make cereal boxes.
What Topaz Dragon said!
