      Wilt had 2 injured wrist vs Bucks 1971 but in '72 Wilt had 35 age , and both knee injured. Fun fact 1of best season in hustory 1972 had Jabbar prime 24 age...and Wilt took his ring. Btw Jerry West is little older than Oscar. Baylor did not play. There is no xcuse cause Bob Dandrige was incredible for Bucks and old Wilt had role player Pat Riley. The only xcuse is Jabbar average more ppg 1972 but RPB, SPG, BPG and even APG likewise triple double goes to Wilt. Fun fact 2, Wilt blocked 4x skyhook that year and his age and knee vs prime Alcindor proved that if Jabbar ever faced 1962 prime best Wilt he would not stood chance if he couldnt score on him. I think in game 3 Wilt broke defensive record vs Kareem he keep him under 30% fg whenever he was direct defender. 35 old guy vs best MVP prime Jabbar.

      @@CapitanHarlockisback if he managed to took his ring at age 35, and both knee injured 11 years older vs the best version of Kareem who waa mvp best scorer in nba those years, u know what 1962 Wilt would do to him. Remember jabbar only had more ppg Wilt had 4 stats better than him. Fun fact ppl say Wilt has supwe team. Not true causeJerry was never better than oscar and both were same age. Baylor never played that year and Dandridge was better than Gail Goodrich. Bucks gad prime Alcindor Oscar and Dandridge, while only help Wilt had in his old 35 years, is Goodridge who wasnt even first ballot or 50 member. Jerry and Oscar cancel each although Robertson is by mile more complete than jerry ever was.

    The further we get from his time, the less we remember that the things he did were real. 100pts in a game. Widening the lane, changes to how free throws could be attempted, how balls could be in-bounded.. offensive goal tending was created because of Wilt.. It was and still is mind blowing.

    While Wilt wasn't in his prime when he faced Kareem, Kareem averaged 31.8 ppg to Wilt's 16.3 ppg in 17 games, I wouldn't say that Wilt dominated him. He out rebounded Kareem, but did not dominate him. Yes he blocked some of Kareem's shots, something not many people ever did. The video carefully left out all of Kareem's points just to make their argument.
    With that said, Wilt is a great player and in his prime would have gotten the better of Jabbar, although he didn't really have to face anyone like Jabbar in his 20s.. Spare me Bill Russell, Russell was great defensively, great rebounder and passer, but pedestrian numbers offensively. When Wilt entered the league, there were just 8 teams in the league, not a lot of dominant Big guys back in the day, plus the free throw lane was 12 foot,, and later went to 16 feet to hinder big men (Because of Wilt)
    Today's NBA is unwatchable. It's been ruined by the 3 pt shot. That needs to be moved to at least 28 feet out, and eliminate the corner 3's, then take the lane from 16 feet back 12. I don't know about you, but watching the Celtics launch 50 threes a game is boring. Give me the 80s Celtics style of play, or showtime. This league is garbage now.

    • @erics9754
      @erics9754 6 дней назад

      I agree with most of what you said except with less teams it would mean you would only get the best of the best with less spots to fill and your also wrong about big men their were actually more back then. Their were at least 10 centres listed at 6 ft 11 but in todays league all of them would be listed at 7 ft or 7 ft one. Their was also a 7 ft 4 center Swede Halbrook who would be listed at 7ft 6 in today league and their were quite a few back then k=listed at 7ft who would be listed as 7ft2 today. You can check this out for yourself the information is available that's why i can not understand why people believe this myths the average height is only 1 inch different and that is because they measured players barefoot if they measured in shoes like today the average heights would be the same or even shorter.

      You need to understand that Wilt is on the downside of his athletic prowess. He and Kareem ONLY had a *19-game encounter, so he couldn't have scored that much of his career points against him. If Kareem faces peek Wilt .. NO CONTEST !! .. Wilt was faster and had a higher vertical than Alcindor/Abdul-Jabbar. Kareem was a finesse type of player .. Wilt was finesse & power. The only player in NBA history that at times is discussed like he is a myth. That should tell you something.

    Let's get to the facts Kareem Scored more points than wilt Is True.
    He played six more years And in 1967 will stop scoring as much and concentrated on defense and rebounding. That's why he is the greatest rebounder in NB.A history and will never be surpassed in That category Chamberlain scored more points in his first 6 years. That most players scored in their entire careers. If he would have kept on scoring and played longer Kareem Would have never passed him Kareem play six more years And was still 5000 rebounds, short of wilt There are Not enough room.
    Or time To present all of Chamberlains Accomplish He is now and forever the goat

    Kareem was a better free throw shooter than Wilt but other than that, I can't think of one skill that he did better than Wilt. Wilt held his own with Kareem at the end of his career, bad knee and all. If it was prime Sixers Wilt, he would have destroyed Kareem, as great as KAJ was. Kareem had the best college career of all time so if you unclude that he has a legit argument for best big man of all time but if you are just looking at the NBA, it's Wilt! As for Shaq, his peak was short. The Shaq of the Lakers three-peat could compete with Wilt in his prime but Wilt had a much better career overall, leading the league in rebounds & field goal percentage in his last couple years in the league. Of the 108 games they tracked his blocked shots in Philly, he averaged 8.8/game and if you look at this video he might have averaged more than that later while with the Lakers. Who else does that?

    This is terrible basketball and why you can’t ever say Wilt, Kareem or Russell is the GOAT. I can’t imagine how much Nikola Jokic, a big man that actually has skills from the paint all the way out to the 3pt line, would dominate in this era. Wilt and Kareem literally only operated within 5 feet of the rim, with their backs to the basket, taking unathletic baby dribbles trying to muscle to the basket. That's not skill. Kareem can't shoot anything but a goddamn hook and Wilt can't score unless it's a layup or dunk.
