  • Short series of videos about the history of the Wagyu cattle in America. Dr. Jerry Reeves was part of a small team from Washington State University to travel to Japan in the late '80s to learn about Wagyu cattle and find a way for the United States to legally import Wagyu cattle from Japan. It wasn't until Mad Cow Disease (BSE) hit the United States in 2003 when the growing American Wagyu export market was shut off from the world, and Wagyu meat was forced into the American market for the first time.
