Had to stop the video ... the guy is fucking annoying.

"I found A Computer" - 0:28
He says while sitting in front of a computer...
Think he's trying to say most people have laptops now but he seems off so might be wrong
This guy sounds like he can't wait to poop
Tim He no likes goofy😂
He probably already did!
It's all that coke.
Holy crap :o
*SNARF* I think I just pooped laughing at this comment.
*I love how he said "Fruity Loops" and waved his hands lmao*
I took that personally
I feel offended, but probably for good reasons 😅
Laptop and headphones. Done.
K100 that is complete bulshit.
no its not :P its all you NEED it might not be fun but its true
K100 same
Yeah I’ll see you guys on the big stage
You'll get frustrated with the latencies, unless you use an external audio interface that complies with ASIO on windows (no need on OSX)
"And it does that... because thats what it does."
xD
this guy has more energy than ill ever experiance in my whole life aha I love this dude
Audio Interface make much more sense for inputs; odd that you totally skipped the idea of recording external instruments/synths/vocals etc....
Dude is a total Idiot really... that it's nothing but a big studio-trolling video..total disgrace..
His posts dont have much informational value - he says in a 5 minutes what he could say in 3 sentences. Still he kinda says whats in the title. Somebody could like his wacky style.
JiggyWig: Good point. Al least he sholdve point out he doesnt use it that way. Apparantely he produces dance music. So do i so i dont care.;)
software is shit nothing works except for computer keyboard, dns errors on all support contact and no live chat support dont buy this
Exactly what I was thinking. He basically uses a 150 dollar interface as a fancy, red headphone jack...
garry phillips what software?
"Imagine i can talk" Made my day.
Thanks bro. You may wanna switch from coffee to a chamomile tea...lol. Good comedy. Very useful info.
he's a master at making 10 minute long videos
So you need a compyuta
underrated
I have ADHD, and I also bounce a lot,
but you show me all the corners of the room.
I even totally destroyed my PC, while seeing your video. LOL
Thank you friend, for this speed course.
You go with the speed of light through your explanation.
But it's good that I can follow you, because I'm relaxed like you. LOL
Tony
i wish you were my teacher for every subject in my school, i would actually like studying in school
If you could keep up woth his speed of course :DD
@YOU WERE BORN TO SING zero chill
In case anyone needs it, here's a couple notes just for clarification, since I was also really confused the first time I started reading into this stuff:
> That Ableton Push 2, for anyone who's wondering, is what's commonly referred to as a "Control Surface." Definitely not absolutely necessary, as Mult already said, but it's considered a good *workflow* option for those of us who find moving a mouse around to be a tedious waste of time. If you don't wanna constantly move the cursor around to select or solo or arm tracks, change volumes/levels, move virtual knobs with your mouse, etc etc, this is basically what a control surface does. It's a hardware extension of your "in-the-box" (software) controls. They come in a ridiculous variety of forms, and choosing one seems to generally depend on your DAW of choice.
--> Some keyboards or midi controllers also have some functionality like this, a-la the knobs at the top of that Native Instruments keyboard shown at around 6:00.
"Workflow" is the key word here. It's really more about convenience than anything else.
> The audio interface is also useful for getting sounds *into* the box. (into the computer.) Notice those XLR inputs on the front of the focusrite? That's where you'd throw in a decent microphone, turn on the phantom power if you need it, and get sound in that way as well. (I'm pretty sure there are also a couple 1/4" in/out jacks on the back, too.)
These also come in ridiculous variety, and your control surface or even midi keyboard/controller might even have some interface functionality, depending on the SKU. Midi ins-outs, onboard mixing, etc.
A midi interface falls under this category as well, if you need an alternative way to hook up a (compatible) keyboard/controller or offboard modular synths, etc, but that's something I'm still reading into and can't really say too much about just yet.
Audio production is a wild world....the functionality on all these devices overlap in so many ways it's almost impossible to tell the difference sometimes.
Actually an audio interface makes a big difference considering audio latency. I'd say that piece is even more important than a MIDI device like a keyboard or so, because as you said, there is already a way to input MIDI data using the computer keyboard. Velocity can still be changed afterwards. About the layout: asdfg and so on are white keys, we-tyu-op are black keys. So the layout is basically the same as on some small MIDI keyboard.
headphones? Pfft, I use the built in laptop speaker 😎
I actually like this guy
Why are you gay?
Bro when the homie was tossing that audio interface around in his hands 😂😂😂 best video ever. You should do book reviews.
I loved how he was twirling the audio interface around and said oh it’s ok this is broken! Lol I wonder how it got that way. You are funny dude
You forgot about a mouse (;
trackpad (;
deadmouse
haha the best reply i ever heard XD 😂😂😂
Here is the best music production software online: hootsong.blogspot.com
***** :p 😂😂😂
so much broken equipment
Great video dude, finally someone with energy that talks about what you really need to make music, and doesn't make it look like you need to be rich to even start making music.
I really wanted to stop watching this but I couldn’t. Kept on getting better and better. Made my day.
instead of describing the keyboard that you're blocking from view in great detail, you COULD just kinda move a little outta the way lol
Just found your video, and I like you already.
How I miss Play School.
Just listening to you brings back memory’s. “This is one I made earlier”
this helped alot man thanks so much your awesome 🔥💯
I need Mr. Giraffe the most right now
jep, I wonder where I can grab my own Mr. Giraffe. Have you already found a shop that sells 'em?
wauwsestrauses multiplier you are the best! i have 7€ headphones and they have done the job well 8months. only you have to know your equipment how they have balanced the sound and you can mix that whole crap whit it.
I like the way you break everything down man, this vid will really help out some beginners. keep doing your thing dude.
love your energy! this was really helpful and easy to follow. i'm a total beginner and only grew an interest for learning how to produce music a few months ago. cheers
I literally have that same Mac and a pair of headphones for my setup 😂
Sonny Jennings yeah, thats all that u need.. but if you want more, then get an audio interface, and a midi keyboard (if you make melodic stuff) :)
I have the same mac, headphones, and midi keyboard lol
Sonny Jennings what kind of Mac is it?
Gera Escobedo 13 inch mid 2009 macbook pro
Is this good for my first setup?:
HP i5 6GBRAM Laptop
Akai MPK Mini MkII
Beats Solo³
FL Studio 20 Prod.
Better than mine so yuh
Boris Simeonov aren't Beats pretty heavy on the low end?
@Boris Simeonov wow 😂😂they're not even that bad
@@logannordhoff5583yeah they are, I think people overhate on beats but I think its mostly due to the build quality for the price which I get
JΛMΛ yeah, they aren't bad, but you can get much better for the same price.
In terms of MIDI controllers, technically you don't NEED Amy hardware. You could draw your notes and automations all with a mouse.
what hardware do you need for music production?
-a computer
-a way to listen to that computer
-a way to control that computer
that's it
ha ableton push 2 is 700 bucks
yeah maybe later
XPeanuhBudderX rrrrrrrrrrh
Downloading the pro version of FL20 from PirateBay is free
American musical supply my friend. You can make payments with no credit check
I have a launch pad does that work?
Found a second handed one for 250 lol
He sounds like he is bullshitting his way thru a tutorial without having any idea whats going on, yet this is very informative...
cool
= charisma
What I do on every presentation😂😂
This video was too fun to watch. You're a natural comedian. 😁
Hearing him talk, makes me feel less alone. I'm a mess. But yes thank you for providing this useful information. ^___^
I thought it was funny and informative, 🤣🤷♂️
Whys half of all your shit broken lmao
Look at the way he handles it lol
This made me laugh how you explained made me watch through the whole video 😂😂 I’m satisfied with the information you gave
Dude this is my first time watching you and damn!! I already love you man, you make it easy to learn (for me) the other audio people here on youtube are quite boring thanks for your awesomeness mate :D
I have a M-audio prokeys Sono 61, is that a good midi keyboard? And are the parrot zik 2 good headphones? And i have a 13 inch mid 2015 macbook pro is that good? and i have the M-audio studiophile AV 20 speakers (im not a cool kid) is that good?
PierreCam's Playlists yes that is ok. :)
How is he still breathing !! haha
2:05 "Oh wow this is an Aspen, you can tell that it's an Aspen tree because of the way it is. Wow!"
Love your mic, mate. When i move I'm getting one like it.
Thought it was Markiplier 😂
same lmao
U clearly don’t take care of ur gear if u just shake ur Mac laptop wen there’s somethin loose in it that’s probly important
Puddy
don't know why everyone's trying to give this lad a hard time. He was in depth and repeated and phrased things for everyone to understand. He's passionate and clearly very good at what he does, this video helped a lot, thanks :)
Bless you for this!
Don't use HD25 headphone for making music those are made for dj needs they are very good at it but just not accurate at all to produce music .
Manyfold is that a brand of headphones or type and what should we aim for
aaron withthehoodie get monitor headphones. They're specifically designed to give you the audio that you're creating in its exact form.
Marmalade forsure
5 seconds in... *subscribe*
this guy is fuckin awesome. as someone with a very high paced thought process it was actually really easy for me to understand what this guy was communicating and funny as hell. thanks guy
This is one of the funnies videos i have watched on youtube. Love the enthusiasm. After reading the comments it just made it even funnier while watching. I had to check to see if everyone was thinking what i was thinking.
I use my Apple earbuds lol
Akg headphones are really good the ear buds make ur 808s sound so good
Jesus christ so difficult to listen to this that was a very frustrating video to watch, very poorly communicated
I know right. I almost clicked away. He spent like 30 seconds on the fact that the audio interface is broken. Im just sitting here like " i get it!!! its broken! please move on!!!!"
I agree with your opinion. But I realized almost at the end that he was trying to be funny while teaching.
yet you watched it you ungrateful twat
love how you keep it all real!! mad love
The point of an external sound card is to eliminate electro static interference that's produced by the components in your computer and provide your vocals or MIDIs a clearer and higher end result free of static noise.
Most people who buy a soundcard really have that written in stone but to be honest mobos are pretty good at eliminating noise on their own. I have midrange mobo and tbh I hear practically nothing different when i have a card vs when i dont. If you're tight on cash or just bedroom producing, soundcards really arent that big of a deal.
not at all. The main point of External sound card in music production is all about latency. Of course high quality audio interface (from focusrite scarlett and up) will help with the electrically induced noise (if you plug a guitar make sure you use top quality cables, that actually are shielded to cut off noise).
Thanks so much. The sound for your voice is fantastic! So clear and crisp. I need a pro mic like that, I just got the Nokia 8, it's mics are good, but can you suggest a better mic that will work with the Nokia 8, please...thanks so much, great demo! :)
Thanks! If you make another video, would you consider demonstrating some of the features? For instance, on the Ableton Push I would have loved to hear how the buttons play a minor blues scale when you set it up for that. It's all completely new for me. Cheers!
Dude you are just f****** crazy. As classic mail said below this will long 5 minutes. But you know what, I watched the whole damn thing and you covered the topic with no mouse. Cheers Man.
Ngl, fuck the haters 😭😅 I have ADHD and the way you explain this kept me entertained and I actually learned what I wanted to learn. Thanks man! Peace n love
I loved every second of this. Thanks for the info.
Clear and simple tutorial easy to understand. Thank you. If it wasn't illegal I would have post you a pack of hash.👍👌
Thank you
This was a great video, thanks for making it.
I'm currently on the fence of if I want to start making music or not. I mean, I do want to start but this is a pretty expensive thing to get into- or no- from your video it's not expensive to get into but to get all the sounds you want so you have the option to make music with more variety, then it gets more expensive. Either way I've played piano all my life so I've got one ready and waiting for this- just have a converter cable on the way. Also I used to work in video production so my computer is up-to-snuff since I believe rendering out complex VFX and the like would be more taxing than making music, but maybe not?
I don't know, hopefully when my wire gets here I have a good first experience with FL studio and am able to actually do what I'm looking to do with it. I'm kinda glad you said all you really need is a mouse and keyboard though, I was legit going through amazon for some of the stuff you were talking about here. I still need a good mic though for samples of me booty clapping as a base line, I hear that red box you dropped makes the biggest difference in audio inputs rather than what it gives back to your headphones.
having monitors as well as headphones is that monitors give you a better dynamic feel for your stereo seperation and panning its alot more noticable hearing from monitors.
Absolutely brilliant video! Great info but the energy is unparalleled
Thanks for the help man
useful info thanks alot. and your hilarious man!! this video had me laughing all the way through lol
Thanks, useful info!
I mean no mattter what anyone says about this dudes hyperactivity, you can't lie; it was an entertaining and useful video...
This helped a lot!
This is so helpful thank you
u r crazy man i really liked ur video it was funny and useful thank u :)
very well done, you explained everything a beginner needs to know
I ain’t gonna lie but I laugh a lot while I was watching this tutorial this guy it’s mental he should do a stand up comedy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Btw people are hating on you for how you present your information, but I don't care cause you really did help me understand the true work to be put in and what's needed
Awesome video, really useful information. I'm looking to start learning production! Thanks :D
Thx Mate!,Helped Me Out Alot. You're Really Funny btw, idk what the comment section are on about. But uh Yeah :) Keep Goin :)
Hey! Nice video! Since you spoke about essential hardware, what kind of software do you think is necessary?
Highly caffeinated, but good information! Cheers for putting this up!
i don't know why i started laughing so much at 3:40 when you said like this. it was just funny somehow
helpful and fun to watch, thanks guy
Sorry how do you use the headphones again? I dont have a masters so i need some clarification Thank you and please proceed with the wonderfull lecture!!
thanks pal, the important thing is to know the hardware that we need , thanks
Your way of teaching is awesome I got a lot of information out of that
You miss out on a very important fact about audio interfaces: They let you connect input sources like microphones, guitars and synthesizers.
i get chu. but your explanation is so freaking hilarious 💀💀💀💀😂😂😂
Your energy makes your videos so much more interesting good info too 👍👍
Audio interfaces are also designed to operate with lower latency (lag) than the soundcard you have in your computer. When you're layering tracks in a DAW, or listening to the output as you play, audio interfaces can make that a better experience. Better audio interfaces have lower latency in general.
cute vid but just wanted to mention that I use the focusrite for my guitar interface as well as live recordings...the monitor is a secondary function....absolutely need it for recording digitally.
great video, better advice.
Thanks a lot!
I would recommend for people who have no idea where to start 👍
good vid! useful info
You are this month's RUclips minimum time bearable 0.06 seconds. Congratulations "Yayyy"
Multiplier, do you know of or use any hardware synth + sampler combos? Like a software-less version of a midi keyboard?
If you're okay with mono synths, I'd say Arturia MicroBrute is a nice way to get into the synth game.
the microbrute is a great little synth, but im wondering if theres a synth out there that plays notes /has presets AND can trigger samples (i.e an MPC or Octatrack). does that exist?
This guy is classic .... loved this video
