Cool topic! I made lots of albums in the 80s and 90s and kinda always knew what the order has to be. But it's a fun idea to change the order with not your taste but the other ones taste in mind 🙂 . Found the SummersDay album, cool tracks in it. It's now in my playlist. . Thumbs up + subscribed.
Thank you! Yeah I guess it’s one of those things that can be done so many ways you just have to feel it in the end. Thank you so much for subscribing and the play listing! Means a lot 😊
Cool vid! I would recommend releasing Green Toyota, if it is one that you really believe in, as a single ahead of the rest of the album, then putting it toward the end, as the story would like. This pulls double duty, as you get a chance to give the song a shot at the limelight as a single, but you also get to stay true to the narrative. Not only that, but if people hear the single and like it, they may listen to the final album longer, as they will want to get back to the single they recognize and already like toward the end. I just saw that this video is like a year old, so this probably doesn't matter anymore, but I'll comment it anyway, in case it helps in the future. Good luck!
Hey! Thanks for the advice. I think I ended up releasing almost all of the tracks as singles first and then the album. It definitely helped get myself out there a bit more before releasing the whole thing. I didn’t put Green Toyota at the end but I like the reasoning. Things to think about for the next one…
@@jaymoussamann hmm good question. I think the first thing that comes to mind for me is creating an online portfolio of my art. I've been meaning to get around to making a personal website where I can direct people to my artwork and show 'the best' of what I create. When I do get around to making this portfolio, I will definitely try and put not only what I think is my best work, but also what other people have told me is my best work. That way I have a better chance of someone sticking around on my site for a bit longer and further exploring what I create. But similar to what you were talking about in your video, showing what is deemed as 'my best work' first, doesn't really allow me to experiment with other ways that I could showcase my art (such as attempting to tell a story, or showing some kind of chronological order). I feel like I'm rambling but I hope that makes sense? 😂

Been looking for this ✌️✌️✌️
Hope it was helpful. Still not sure what’s the best approach tbh

This was the struggle I would go through back in 2005 making mix CD's for my friends 😂
The struggle is real! 😁
Love the style and editing of this video! Really interesting topic as well, there's just so many considerations to make!
Thanks Anna! Do you have any similar debates that come up in art?
