People say you don't take music to the beach, but Sade is perfect at the beach. The waves on the shore feel like they could have been part of the song all along.
I don't know. One of those sayings. Something about missing the point of going to the beach. But there are very few occasions where I don't want music. Even when my mother passed, I listened to classical music for about a week (can't explain that either).
My favorite female singer...I eat, drink and sleep Sade...This is one of my top three songs by her, but I love all of her songs...And for me, this is one of the classiest videos ever....I saw her twice back in the day...She`s even better in concert than most.
She is beyond unique ! Her voice is the epitome of one of a kind ! The song writing is one of a kind , The music/instrumentals are one of a kind ! When you put all that together she is at the top of the list of being the most unique artist ever ! And then I can't leave out how stunningly beautiful she is !

Saw her in concert several years ago and John Legend opened for her. She was dancing barefoot on the stage. It was a beautiful and memorizing performance. She doesn't technically sound like Billie Holiday - but Sade has her own very unique sound that nobody else has and that is what Billie Holiday was so great at. Very few artists could pull off a cover a Sade song because it's SO uniquely her, and she writes music to fit her style. She's a vibe and she doesn't sing big, she's minimal and pulls the listener in - which is the other aspect that's absolutely like Holiday. Sade is the freaking all time QUEEN of sophistication. No other can even come close. It's also not surprising that she came to London from Nigeria to go to fashion school, because of course! Obviously she gave it up for music.

There was no one else there but the two of us, then right before we left, Sade and her son came walking down. When I walked away, I looked at her and smiled at her. She has been one of my favorite since she came out! ❤️

Songs with ‘cherish’: Cherish, by Kool and the Gang, was a great hit for them in the 80’s along with tunes like Joanna & Emergency, the album that Cherish is from. Cherish, by Madonna, maybe my fav of Madonna, along with La Isla Bonita. Cherish, by The Association. Probably the 1st I can recall of a song using that word, real mello vibe with nice harmonies, from ‘60’s.
