- Shadow Mania Plus (aka. One More Shadow) is a Character Modification created by sinnombre.
This mod continues the old Shadow Mania Revamped project. The continuation is based on multiple old and current versions of Shadow such as Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the version of Hortinus, and the current version of Megamix.
This project takes ideas from some sprites of the previously mentioned Shadow versions and adapting them to the Shadow of this project, making it clear that not all the sprites are from the project, but some are from AsuharaMoon and Megamix.

Shadow Mania Plus is back now with a new update, which adds more sprites to the character, now at about 95% for progress on the mod. Keep in mind only a couple of sprites haven't been finished (one of those being the cutscene at the start of Chemical Plant), but the next update will not only be 100% complete, but will also be potentially replacing Ray in the process (curious myself on how that might turn out).

I love the switch from running to skating in the special stages when you hit Mach 3. So satisfying!
This is INSANELY underrated. I just wanna know how long it took the creator of this mod to create all the sprites and everything else cuz MAN this is INCREDIBLE

I love the idea of shadow using his actual running speed plus his air shoes to move faster. Always thought he wasn’t going as fast as he actually could by just using the shoes alone
Which is why SA2 shadow still have the best running animation till this day

At the start of Chemical Plant, it looked like Shadow teleported Sonic there to be splashed on the head. It looked really funny and clever lol

Seeing as Mighty has the bounce, Knuckles and Ray have different glide abilities, Tails can hover/fly and Sonic has the dropdash. Shadow should have a homing attack to go with his teleporting chaos abilities.

Wow. The modders have really done a great job at capturing not only the graphic style of mania, but also the deminor and expressions of shadow. The only complaint I have is the intro to chemical plant act 1 with Sonic's sprite appearing out of nowhere, but it must be really hard to change it, so nice job!🦔

weird that barely anyone changes the title screen's appearance completely. past that and the special stage model, and the chemical plant glitch, this is a great mod.

I'm surprised about the lack of difficulty, in finding that damn fourth chaos emerald, but other than that, this is a pretty cool video.
Glad we can see more from Shadow on Sonic Mania. Can't tell if this is an update on the mod since my memory is often bad, but I'm still excited to see more from Shadow on games that aren't considered the biggest titles. Nice upload this Saturday
I would argue this was the biggest Sonic title in the past decade. Mania gave us a new 'classic' title that condensed so much of what made the originals good. Its great seeing the addition of fully fleshed out character gameplay for those that weren't playable.
@@CrazyMautty I know I interpreted that in the wrong way, but like I meant against titles like Sonic Generations, the Adventure series, Sonic 06, etc.
Ngl id love if we got a fully fledged mania mod with a bunch of characters added with there own abilitys and such (please keep in mind when I say this cause before this vid I didn’t even know there were mods for this game)

Wait, in Chemical Plant, it reveals Sonic is just cosplaying as Shadow! GIVE IT UP, SONIC.
Literally the only thing I can mention is that his voice line at the start should be bitcrushed a lil bit, since right now it's a bit too smooth compared to the rest of the sounds
Pretty cool! I'm glad Robotnik was swapped for Eggman Nega, as well! Wish the other characters would get swaps too. Say: Tails->Rouge, Knuckles->Robotnik, Mighty->Omega, Ray->Metal
Oh, wait, HEAVY KING was swapped for Nega! Hmm...
It would've taken a long time to change all the Sonic sprites on the tile map to look like Shadow. Especially at this quality. Because this ain't no lazy palette swap with. Each sprite frame has been expertly drawn over top of Sonic's. But changed to depict how Shadow would look doing it. This is great work well done.
Because Shadow plays identical to Sonic I'm assuming this is what Sinnombre has done.

There are things that need touching up like the intro to Chemical Plant Zone Act 1 where you can see Sonic for a second instead of Shadow, but otherwise it's a well done hack.
That’s a nice quality of life feature. Going Super without having to lose your power-up.

the sprite work is amazing but I think maybe it could use a custom moveset and not reuse the same shadow model cuz I have seen that model like 5 times in 5 different mods

Which mods is required for this mod to work properly?i installed modern sonic boost and this mod, but there is some strange bug with the shadow jump and when he lands he stuck below the ground. Someone can help?
Just the Shadow mod I believe. The Modern Sonic Boost mod should work fine since there is a link on the Shadow mod page. I think the Modern Sonic Boost mod should be below the Shadow mod, but if that doesn't work you can always try and put the Shadow mod below the Boost mod.

Hi could I have some help? I’m having difficulties with the mod it doesn’t even show up on the title screen, is it because I installed the latest version of the mod? And if so where could I install the previous version?
The 2.1 version replaces Ray instead of sonic. The 2.0 version was the finished version showcased in this video. The 2.0 download link was taken down and the only mod with the sonic replacement is an edited version changing shadow's super form into a "ultra ego"

While the sprite work is great, even tho most of it isn't original to the project, he could use a custom moveset. Reskins are cool and all, but I'll just be waiting for Megamix Mania instead. The special stage model could use some slight walk bouncing. His model looks like cardboard when walking.
well at the ene of the day, shadow is still just a sonic clone so i dont think its a big deal
megamix’s shadow doesn’t look nearly as quality as this one’s, sadly. With the fun title screen + menu remodeling they did here, I can’t help but prefer this mod
