Flew my mom out to California for her 70th birthday in January 2020 and we visited Alcatraz Island along with stops at California state railroad museum in Sacramento, Muir woods, Lake Tahoe, Stinson Beach and Yosemite National Park. After the visit to Alcatraz, we had dinner on Pier 39 overlooking San Francisco Bay. If you're ever in California, every place I listed is worth checking out.
Whenever I hear "infamous" and "Alcatraz" the main inmates that come to mind were included on this list. Those inmates are: Frank Morris and the Anglen brothers, Machine Gun Kelly and Al Capone. All of them were definitely infamous on their own whole other levels
While I was on a vacation with my family down to the bay area around Montrey Bay and San Francisco, we actually got to see Alcatraz just across the coast. It was really cool, tho we never got to visit the prison, but never the less it was still fascinating.
Whitey Bulger - survived The Rock, only to be eventually murdered at a Federal Pen in Hazelton, WV. Some snitches get stitches, others just flat-out get whacked!
When he was in Alcatraz, Robert Stroud spent his time writing a history of the US prison system. (COUNTERPUNCH published online excerpts from it.) Were the prisoners in Alcatraz safe from the other prisoners?
First thing you do when visiting Alcatraz is ride the ferry which takes about 15-20 minutes to get there. When you look at the water it's choppy and infested with sharks. The Rock itself is well preserved and a interesting place to visit. Crazy to think how many famous criminals were locked up there.
I visited Alcatraz during the summer of 2017. It is an interesting prison. It's huge. I wouldn't want to be there. There are many prison cells and look small. You can go inside one of the prison cells. I bought an Alcatraz police jacket.
@@destinylassalle1170 It's black, made of thick cotton, it has two small pockets in the front, has adjustable cuffs and on one of the pockets, it says, CSP Alcatraz 1934 - 1963, on a small piece of red denim. There is a tourist shop in Alcatraz but it’s at the very end of the tour. My brother and I stole keys they mass produced to sell off the island. This was 16 years ago..
I visited on a teen tour im summer of. 78 It was just how it looks.very hilly going in thru.tje entrance area. It was a true island. Love to how they built it. The feery ride i left my camera on it .
#7 They made it, it's been proven that the Anglin Bros were alive & well & living in South America, as for FM no one knows, but I like to think he did too.
a Shark in Alcatraz is unknown to police and people didn’t know why their were sharks 🦈 doing swimming around the prison island there. until in October 10th 2015 a shark attack a seal 🦭 first time in history because it could be a death trap for inmates escape get eating alive by these predators in the water.
Idk which is colder/more infamous the inmates, or “the system” that had no remorse for watching a human wither away in a box until they’d died! #HumanToWantFreedom
By the way they mentioned the name "the Rock", you'd think some of those creepy punks were sentenced to go the distance with Rocky Marciano (who was the world heavyweight boxing champion from 1949 or 50 until his retirement in 1956 due to back problems). And I don't think they were sentenced to a wrestling match against Dwayne Johnson.
You left out convicted felon Clarence carnes who is at age 18 years old who was the youngest man to ever go to Alcatraz and he tried couple of escape attempts but never really made it but he left Alcatraz when that when Alcatraz closed and was transferred to Leavenworth released in '73 I don't know what happened to Clarence Clarence Clarence but you left him out as well holla if you hear me
WatchMojo coming in with the topics ✍🏼 It might sound strange at first, but please hear me out 🙏🏽. So the bible says we've all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. You and I have broken God's commandments and just as if you were in a court of law for a crime you commited you would receive a sentence, in the same way God has to sentence us into eternal damnation unless someone pays the fines for our sins. So the thing is we are all damned and are to receive God's wrath and punishment on us. So here's the saving grace, Jesus Christ, a man with flesh and everything like you and I, was born of the virgin Mary with the Holy Spirit, lived a perfect sinless life here on earth and therefore didn't have to die, (the reason why people die is because they've sinned against God and death is how we are repaid for our sins), however Jesus did not sin at all, but still died for the sins of you, I and the world and now we can stand right before God 🌎♥️✝️ He rose again on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father (God). And with that, God so loved the world 🌍♥️🤞🏽that He gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life ✨✝️. God laid all the punishment for your sin on His Son so that you could be set free and stand right before Him, man ain't that love 🙌🏽✝️❤️ So what we all have to do is turn from our sinful ways (repent), don't call on and pray to other false Gods, don't believe in anything like karma or that stuff, and put our hope, trust and faith ONLY in Jesus as our Lord and saviour✝️❤️🙌🏽 Call on to Him cause he's TRULY the only one that has you 💯 I know this could've sounded weird and things, but please hear me out, it could be the most important message you ever heard in your life 🙌🏽✝️❤️ God commands us to turn from our sinful ways, repent. And like I said before put your faith in Jesus and TRULY TRULY follow Him. So the question to ask oneself is is my life right with Jesus Christ, do I really know Him and does He know me, am I going to heaven? And when we ask these questions we shouldn't be relying on our own answers but instead looking at what the word of God says 🙌🏽✝️📖

Nope never been there
I've been to Alcatraz a few times its awesome
Flew my mom out to California for her 70th birthday in January 2020 and we visited Alcatraz Island along with stops at California state railroad museum in Sacramento, Muir woods, Lake Tahoe, Stinson Beach and Yosemite National Park. After the visit to Alcatraz, we had dinner on Pier 39 overlooking San Francisco Bay. If you're ever in California, every place I listed is worth checking out.
And to think a lot of the Alcatraz inmates on this list were some of the most famous gangsters in history, especially Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly.
Not the rapper though. The other Machine Gun Kelly known as George Barnes
Whenever I hear "infamous" and "Alcatraz" the main inmates that come to mind were included on this list. Those inmates are: Frank Morris and the Anglen brothers, Machine Gun Kelly and Al Capone. All of them were definitely infamous on their own whole other levels

How old was your grandfather when he was a former Alcatraz prison guard until he didn’t know about three inmates escaped. How old is he now 🤔

U think those 3 inmates that got away got eaten by sharks
I was 2-3 years old when I visited Alcatraz. It was a family vacation. When I was there, I could hear voices.

Indeed it was J. Edgar Hoover that propose that was a need for a supper max prison.
Yes he totally belonged in prison

I still believe to this day Morris and the Anglin brothers made it and are now living their lives in retirement laughing at the authorities
Or died of old age
Alright, alright! I’ve had a hard day. Glad to listen to Rebecca.
