SURGE NARROWS, Rocks, & The OCTOPUS ISLANDS!

We get threw our second set of rapids in Canada to get to a very popular boating destination, the Octopus Islands! Definitely lived up to the hype :)

Holy crap, a whirlpool half the length of your boat looks like it would just spin you around in a 180. If we ever go through the surge narrows I want to watch this vid again. When I searched surge narrows in a sailboat your video showed up as number 4 already. Nice work on the video and thanks for the references to maps and locations. you guys could have ran aground so easy around octopus.

Yeah pretty wild, admittedly we had smooth run on way back through with only slight current. Trick we found is get early and wait until water visibly calms down. We thought it was "good enough" according to current charts but those should be used as guidelines. Yeah rocks come up quick here so learned yo have someone on the bow watching, one bonus is water is way clearer up here. Definitely worth it, you can always hit us up for questions if your heading up here and want specific info.
