    We used to have places of public education called "Museums" where everyone could enjoy pieces of history. Now the museums cant even outbid the private equity hogs gobbling up for their portfolios

    What in the hell is this doing with Sotheby's? If it really is what they say it is, why isn't it in a museum? So this is now going to sit in some rich person's home, or in a vault, hoping for a better price from someone who is also a speculator? This is insane!

      @danndeelion 13 дней назад +4

      This isn't the REAL 10 commandments 😂 it's a Byzantine (post Christ) copy written in stone. The real ones are still in the Ark of the Covenant. But I do agree, anything that can bring attention and glory to God should be available for everyone to enjoy! You never know the buyer could be a museum 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @thought-checkers7669

      @@danndeelion Any historical artifact should be available to archeologists and the public, regardless of what religion, or how "original" the artifact is. Even a Byzantine copy is a possible source of knowledge of the past, which belongs to everyone.

    Ten Commandments, written by a desert-dwelling band of the superstitious. At least Moses could have taken them to a place that had oil.

    I have several very old antiques, approximately 2,000 years old.
    If you know someone suitable who might be interested in purchasing them, or if you yourself are interested, I can send you photos so you can take a look.
