I can't imagine any of these cards will be worth more than a couple penny's, the cards look cheaper than those 80's promo cards that like burger king would give out with a whopper.
Yep looks like most of the autos go for a few bucks a pop at best, unless you get some top names from the checklist. But even then , you'd have to get a hot box with multiple "good" autos to get value back.
Today's baseball cards are so disrespectful to what opening packs used to mean. Kids don't even know what opening a pack of cards is like, and people that support the current hobby are making it more expensive ... how has collecting cards gone to paying several thousand dollars for a few cards in a suitcase?
People collect for different reasons. There are plenty of sets that are accessible to kids, but sports card collecting isn't as Inciting to children as Pokémon and other TCGs are. It's cool by me that there is such a wide range of product. So much of the high end I'll never get to collect, but I still enjoy watching others open.
The QC and trimming on these cards is atrocious. So many cards that are so off center. I feel like a PSA 10 would be about as easy to get as 1981 Topps
There is so many young baseball card collectors that are out there and bought this box of baseball cards just because you're guaranteed autographs and you get a lot of packs
The autos hold some value, but I feel like the base cards of this set are essentially colored toilet paper given the lack of logos and zero name recognition for the brand
Aloy is a freshman at H.P. Baldwin HS stat line is .376 avg .662 slugging 1.089 OPS and was WAC freshman of the year. after all those autos I bet his hand is cramped up.
Wow, what terrible quality control. Missing numbers on numbered cards and severely off centered cards. You would think these companies without licenses would do a better job with qc and create a product with eye appeal to compete with Topps/ Fanatics. Instead you get a bland, boring design with tons of flaws. Why would anyone waste their money on this?
Strange boxes for sure. Quality control is beyond terrible 😂....seems like a fun box to open just for autographs and parallels. I know it's not something you would do, but I think it would make for a fun and different video, but to open a box or two of the Garbage Pail Kids MLB boxes. They come with different color parallels and appear to sell for good prices on eBay. I've been interested in the different Nolan Ryan parallels.
I wonder how Onyx is able to make cards of current MLB players (i.e. Freddie Freeman) while Panini is limited to prospects and retired players? Interesting.
Don’t really like to trash products but oof this one isn’t it. Felt like there are only 15-20 cards in the whole checklist how many base River Ryan, Chase Burns, Tommy Troy, Jaison Chourio etc. were compiled out of these boxes plus the Aloy! 😐

Thanks for the video, but damn, those are ugly cards. I hate when card companies don't have the rights and have to digitally remove all the teams logos from helmets and jerseys and such.
Onyx has a lot of potential with the old school design, but they need some work with the photos. The artwork style they keep trying looks horrible to me.
Onyx is always a laugh.
Man that first purple card that was numbered/10 was so off-center.

I wouldn't buy these if they were $25 a hobby box. Hell, I'd be surprised if they're even worth $25

When people start thinking about things as more of investments than fun things to collect.
Old people ruin everything kids love!
Things change, everything does. Stop crying about it
He's right tho @@ianryan3760

And I'll get the box that's missing autos!
Wehiwa Aloy is actually 20 years old. Plays baseball in Arkansas.
Definitely skipping this one. The cut is bad on the majority and the numbered cards are all over the place.
Aloy! Started off the season pretty poorly for Arkansas but has picked it up of late. Cards look like a Photoshop airbrush job though 😂
The cardboard worth more than the ink.
This should be a family dollar product.
Onyx cards remind me of the post cereal cards from the 80's.
Who cut these cards?? Ray Charles!!! 😎
Aloy is the front runner for the Pops report auto leader 😂
Great point!
Alloy plays college for Arkansas. He’s 20
Thanks for the fun video, Jabs! Always appreciated, sir! 🙏
Not sure how a company like Onyx stays in business.
Wehiwa Aloy is awesome player for the Arkansas Razorbacks..id love to have that auto. Huge Hog fan!!
Me too!
Buy a box of Onyx. You’ll get one for sure 🤣
Alloy actually is the opps manager at Onyx
Aloy is the shortstop for the Arkansas Razorbacks
The QC and trimming on these cards is atrocious. So many cards that are so off center. I feel like a PSA 10 would be about as easy to get as 1981 Topps
Stick with Topps products Jabs
Nah, he needs to open up these types of products so others know what’s good and what’s not. He’s doing a review of product
Meet the owner of Onyx at Game Time Cardz here in Orlando and bought a single pack...pulled a /50 Corbin Carroll. Fun rip for sure.
How old was he? 12?
@@RonnieOwens-kv4oe Really? Glad the guy is putting the effort to grow the hobby. Is it a work in progress... probably but at least he's doing it!
There is so many young baseball card collectors that are out there and bought this box of baseball cards just because you're guaranteed autographs and you get a lot of packs
Thanks Jabs!
unpopular opinion, but i like Onyx, cards are always on card autos
The autos hold some value, but I feel like the base cards of this set are essentially colored toilet paper given the lack of logos and zero name recognition for the brand
River Ryan getting called up - not a bad card to hold
Aloy is a freshman at H.P. Baldwin HS stat line is .376 avg .662 slugging 1.089 OPS and was WAC freshman of the year. after all those autos I bet his hand is cramped up.
I predict Aloy will have the most autos on the channel for April!
I much prefer the layout of last year where you would get 2 autos and 5 cards for under 40 dollars a box

Just under 100 cards per box?? 120 cards/box
I pulled a nice, Ken Griffey jr. Game used Jersey patch (gray napkin) from sports kings vol. 5
Strange boxes for sure. Quality control is beyond terrible 😂....seems like a fun box to open just for autographs and parallels.

That first box gives Elite Exxxtra Edition vibes. Tons of hits
Box at 18:40 looked like it was already open.
I wonder how Onyx is able to make cards of current MLB players (i.e. Freddie Freeman) while Panini is limited to prospects and retired players? Interesting.
$75 for 6 extra auto's is a win all day
Who cut these…Stevie Wonder?
😂
Might have a HOT BOX 😉😉
How much are these??
$130 for the base, $200 for the mega I think
$125 for base, 200 mega.
Love that Samuel basallo autograph
So I was wandering why only Freddie Fremantle? 🤔
Was he the only MLB player?
@@Rudypoo42 only Freddie freman

9 prospects autos...200 base made out of recycled ♻️ toilet paper cardboard... made by Geoff wilson and freinds😂
Well, looks like theres a new addition to the Pops report lol.
Aloy. Freshman for Arkansas Razorbacks. Probably 18ish
Another great video even though the product wasn't the best
so many of these seem crazy OC
Red Sox roster already thin, and the other half is on the DL
these are pretty rinky dink for 100 bucks, no offense, not your fault
What do you get when I join you

what a waste of ink and cardboard
Is this a panini release? Or is onyx its own brand?
Ouch
Wow some of the cuts on those cards are so bad lmao
These have to be the worse cards out. I really wouldn't want them if they were free!
God, even some of the cards are way off center, like 50s-80s lol
In it's own right there nice card's
I just bought a jojo jackson auto 1/1..its gonna be worth 1 million dollars😅
The centering??? Wow
Exactly right, no way I would invest in these cards I'm off getting better centering off a 1987 Topps wax box Lol
Brutal looking cards. 9 autos in first box is nice. Still wouldn’t buy this product. Rather own a Jabs personal Auto card lol
reminds me of that crappy 81 donruss box? he opened with 5,000 john wathams
You can get 3 mega prizm nba blasters for the price of this 😂 and a chance of a WEMBY
I don't like the looks of the cards, very plain. But I am glad you bought them. lol
Jimmy Jabs
With this product the cards without a # you just put in what you want, lol.
Hi jabs
Some of the cards had horrible centering.
Thanks for the video, but damn, those are ugly cards. I hate when card companies don't have the rights and have to digitally remove all the teams logos from helmets and jerseys and such.
Seems that wahiwa aloy is born in 2004
They reused the backgrounds a lot
An 11 card set I swear 😂
These cards look like they were AI generated.
lol "forgot the numbers"...
So bad even Degen Rips won't rip these lmao.
i see all breakers have no love towards josh jung
I'll never buy this product. I wish you opened up something else. Big fan by the way! ✌️
Just slightly Mickey Mouse
10 autos per box of the same 3 players lol
too many aloy😂
No way those boxes are worth the selling price, maybe half price at best
A lot of autographs, but my gosh some crap quality control. I will not invest into this product at all. Thanks for the video Jabs!
No MLB license means I'm not interested.
Onyx has a lot of potential with the old school design, but they need some work with the photos. The artwork style they keep trying looks horrible to me.
Looks like AI generated images
Blech....😢
Junk
Hahaha well they load you up on autos to make up for the poor card quality
How do you horribly miscut numbered cards?!?! That 1/10 was 10/90 both ways! That card might as well be a common from 91 Donruss…. TRASH!!!!
Centering looks horrible
Vintage? Lol
Some of the most uncentered cards ever. LOL
Garbage
Unlicensed junk what a waste of money
I can’t believe this product is new. So many off center, crappy card board and comical packaging.
Man, those cards are sooooo off centered!
So many duplicates
This product looks just terrible.
