I cannot believe it’s been over 10 years since the last movie came out, 20 years since it all started. The return to Hogwarts special has me rewatching all the films presumably like many others are and it’s making me greatly miss my childhood. My mother had taken me to this small single screen theater to see the first one and it became our thing to go and watch them all together in that theater as they came out. Childhood memories that I wish I could relive. Kind of ruined it though when on vacation I begged to go out with the others who were planning to see the Order of The Phoenix as it had just released. My mother wanted me to wait until we got back but impatient 13 year old me at the time didn’t want to wait and was so excited as I loved Harry Potter just so much. She reluctantly let me go and off I went. Felt real guilty for that as I grew older and realized how much those trips to the theater meant to her and me as well.

You know, the contrast between this little interview and the myriad of dialogs I've seen in American talk shows is simply astonishing. For one, the interviewer doesn't lord over the guest or interrupt her simply to showcase his bland witticism. I'm sure it's not a rule, but British talk shows seem to be more... polite, for lack of a better expression.
Yes, generally to an extent, you can generalise about the national Character. In the US the unspoken rule is to be Extrovert, with a confidence bordering on brashness and project the impression of success, even when insecure (not for everyone, but a general rule of thumb). In Britain, the predisposition is to be modest and polite, initially reserved and thoughtful. In many situations, you would probably have most Americans jumping in to a situation and if they are highly skilled they will swim well, whereas the Brit is more likely to observe 1st and then make less progress initially, but maggots won't crash and burn.Ultimately, the Brit will organically grow into this situation, with less artificiality, intensity and vulnerability to the atmosphere. Here is a perfect case in point, very natural, organically growing conversation, without pretension or insecurity. If Jonathan cracks jokes, it's because he's just predisposed, as British men often tease women they are attracted to, which isn't always very effective 🤣 The US talk show host is doing it in a deliberate sense, consciously aware of ratings and his own image

I was actually thinking about a Harry Potter remake the other day for some reason, and it would be amazing to see the actors come back and play different characters. I can imagine Emma Watson as Professor McGonagall.
Has she ever in an interview mentioned the time she kissed Daniel? It's always "that kiss with Ron was horrible", but never mentioned the kiss with Harry.
to me it would not be the same movies without those 3 actors i started watching them when they came out with my oldest niece mid 30's now and i watch them at least once a year if not more it's like a tradition with me now
What gets me is that in the books Hermione is supposed to be kind of a geeky girl who dolls up nice but then they chose Emma Watson who in the later years turned out to be drop dead gorgeous and made Cho Chang and Fleur (who were supposed to be the devastatingly hot girls in the books) look ugly
I read the title, and wondered in which context it meant. I mean, in the real world, Emma Watson might hate kissing Rupert Grint. In the fictional world of Harry Potter, Hermione might hate kissing Ron. But how can the real Emma Watson hate kissing the fictional Ron? Sorry, but if she hated kissing Rupert, then write Rupert, not Ron, because Ron doesn't exist.
I read your comment and in first I was wondering what the heck you were talking about. But then I read the title of this video and it all made sense. I don't think there's any context meant. I just think the person that wrote it wasn't paying attention to what they were doing....or they were just stupid 😁
Most guys have no idea of this real concept and feeling that girls and women have whether they're being interviewed or watching one, its the real feeling of anxiety and dread of constantly preparing for a sexist, inappropriate and unwanted question, assumption, reaction and interaction physical and non physical; its truly a relief that this was a proper interview and Jonathan didnt pry or demean her in anyway-HOWEVER- I've only watched 6:54 minutes of the total but you have no idea how good and safe we feel and she likely felt encountering a proper appropriate interview.
@@TheMrgoodmanners That's a message for yourself not her. Living in a society where men are creeps and CONSTANTLY inappropriate and dreading when the next horrible comment will come has nothing to do with growing up or not growing up. Idiot. Tell men who do this to women to grow up. Creep.
She is a nice girl, genuinly. And so i can see one being proud of her calling him " a brother" In that sense, taking her word "horrible" out of context is a little ugly.
Emma Watson was kissing Ron Weasley? Either Emma Watson was kissing RUPERT GRINT or HERMIONE GRANGER was kissing Ron Weasley, is the proper way of saying it. Actor kissing actor, or character kissing character. It's odd when you say actor kissing character.
Such a fascinating journey, especially seeing you grow up on screen. The library scene looks intense! Kudos to you and the entire cast for bringing the magic to life. 🎬✨

she is such a lovely actress not only in skill but looks n brains!!!
She’s so kind, I love her
Good interviewer/host!
6:36 May he continue to show himself worthy of you.
Beauty and the beast, perks of being a wallflower, she's a magnificent actress
I love her voice and her accent😻
Emma on Daniel - It was quite something!!! 👀
Emma on Rupert - it was the most horrible thing ever!!!
worst she could do is say no
Can I just say how perfect her Belle hair, make up, glamours outfit, and pose are?!
The fact that Emma mentions playing a role in the future remaking of Harry Potter and now we have the announcement from HBO
Emma Watson doesn't seem to age because of her voice, she still sounds like young Hermione Granger
Lua so they don’t want to be treated the same as men ?
i just have two words for you and your beautiful comment dear..... GROW UP
What?
@@TheMrgoodmanners That's a message for yourself not her. Living in a society where men are creeps and CONSTANTLY inappropriate and dreading when the next horrible comment will come has nothing to do with growing up or not growing up. Idiot. Tell men who do this to women to grow up. Creep.
@@wazowski97 are you slow?
3:55 said like a true Hermione.
ikr, the story of how the golden trio cast got selected really reflected their character
Great interview!
thankfully rupert is with georgia groome now he has a little girl with her too. this would make emma "auntie emma" or something
Fantastic interview
What a beautiful, clever, well---behaved, interesting young lady Emma has grown up into !
What a grounded level headed young lady.
Is 31 still young? Idk
Well it’s not old
@@goodnight299 it’s still extreamly young lol wth you must either be a teenager or a child.. life is a long ways from 31!
@@goodnight299 she wasn’t 31 at the time of this interview. Maybe around 23 years old
@@Shewhomustnotbenamed. she literally says she’s 19 in the first 20 seconds. Internet can die.
Hahaha Dame Judy Dench 🤣
She is a nice girl, genuinly. And so i can see one being proud of her calling him " a brother"
In that sense, taking her word "horrible" out of context is a little ugly.
Straight A's, beeming when she talked about school and education. She's so Hermine. :)
I was on set for the PoA as an extra for a scene, one of the extras was considered the replacement for emma if she left as she had planned too.
Elegance, brains and beauty all in one! ❤️ Emma Watson!
Oh my god he voice is just so spectacular✨
No matter what you do you will always be the best child actress in the world, "Hermione." :)
Fantastic interview, felt very natural & everyone seemed so happy for Emma.
I just feel so pleased while watching, Emma being so mature, smart and sweet, Jonathan being so gentleman, friendly and respectful ❤
She was like....
"smooches"
Ok, It's done, let's move on.
Such a fascinating journey, especially seeing you grow up on screen. The library scene looks intense! Kudos to you and the entire cast for bringing the magic to life. 🎬✨
Ended up going to Brown university and played on the field hockey team.
Throughout the entire Harry Potter series, I could never understand what they kept calling her. So I finally had to look it up online. And I could see why I was confused. Strange name.
The kiss we didn't even get to see. Its fuckin blocked by Ron's hair. How disappointing. :(
Quess it didnt look that good 😅 had to show that angle only
She's a real genius actually not because her role is Hermione but in reality she was able to handle both the acting and her studies overseas and graduated with all the A s in GCE and AL's that's a big brain tbh. That's a win win in both.
