It brakes my heart that people didn't like the movie. Look at the cast and the chemistry they have...i've watched a little bit the tv show and the cast leave me cold, they have no substance. The way Jamie looked at Lily it makes it look like it was real. I loved the movie so much. To bad they won't continue doing. It followed the book way better than the tv show. Hope one day i will see this 2 in the same movie cause they are so fit for each other

TV show will never be even bit close to movie. Movie cast is like book came into life, they are too real, and technical side of movie is way realistic then TV's. When i was full-scaled fangirl I used to be so sad that no one agreed me

I've just watched the movie after 2 years and i still got strange feeling that It's never enough, i want to watch them more and more... How I wish other parts were also filmed so i could watch old cast again and again. They would have made amazing series of whole story.

This song was played in the end of the movie which made it even more sad because jace and clary thought they were siblings.I felt sad that the movie didn’t get a second movie.lily and Jamie really portrayed clary and jace very well for me they are the perfect jace and clary .You could literally see the chemistry between them.

@@williambuttlicker5654 Alec is said in the books to be not that tall,but I get sometimes when imagining characters when we read them we don't necessarily go with the books description.But with Isabelle though she gets sassy in the other books,in the first book she was sort stand offish and had walls built up because these new people were coming into her home and she didn't like that.I think that if the movies had gone on like the books Isabelle would have shown more sass and stuff
This movie has been my favorite for 5 years. I'm eleven now, I've loved it since I was 6. I know that the tooth fairy, Santa clause and the Easter bunny aren't real. But I believe that vampires, werewolves, demons and angels, somehow are.

I remember when the movie came out 8 years ago, that's when I found out about the books - it became my favorite saga btw. I've rewatched it a few times, and I did watch 2 seasons of Shadowhunters - which is not even close to the movie. I wished people had given City of Bones a chance. It had so much potential! Lily and Jamie were the perfect cast for Clary and Jace.
Yesterday, I watched the movie again, I basically know all the lines and scenes, it was a mix of sadness, nostalgia and happiness, 'cause I never get tired of seeing the world of The Mortal Instruments come to life - and the soundtrack is amazing! Demi Lovato and Colbie Cailliat really understood the story.
Hopefully, one day, the TMI universe will get a new shot, and they'll get it right

They’re the perfect Jace and Clary and no one can tell me otherwise. The way CC described Jace on the books is exactly like this. I hoped they continued making movies for each books. Tho I loved Alec and Magnus on the TV show. I always wondered who’s gonna be Jonathan Morgenstern in the movies. Luke Baines did an amazing job at it in the TV Show.

when i read the books for the first time i always listened to this song. And now, everytime i listen to this song i feel so sad. I wish i could just read the books again like i read it for the first time

Two things:
One: the movie leaves me warm. The relationships between the trio and clace and all the additional characters, they have substance, and warmth to them.
Second: the aesthetic and the ambience. The tv show is nowhere close to the homey institute vibes including the high ceilings and the cathedral looks. They made it too modern. I hate that. Goddamn it! It's not a Agents of Shield show with popup 3D maps or whatever.
seeing this...only we know how much we wanted the movies to be continued so we can see the amazing chemistry between these to! feels so bad and low knowing they didn't continued it. Jamie and Lily were the PERFECT JACE AND CLARY so far.

I hope they do. They were fantastic. Readers need closure.. Shadowhunters isn't a continuation it's a completely separate thing which is sub par to the original

This book series will always have a special place in my heart,because of the movie City of Bones,I found out about TMI and Cassandra Clare.Because they won't continue the movie,I really wanted to know what happened next,and so I bought the series.And that series,it made me discover my love for reading,and it is the first series I've ever read.All this time all I ever read is just comics.And so their appearances have been planted in my head so yeah I still won't watch the netflix one.

I'm literally crying. I'm reading the book series and I love it so so so much. I also watched the movie and I fell in love with it and the actors and how they portray the characters. Also when I found out their not going to do city of ashes and instead they cancelled it to some tv series I was so upset. If only the actors who played in the movies will play in the series then I will be happy but now.... and if I could choose to matchmake anyone in this world it will be Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins=Jamily
